- New guitar!
I saw this guitar listed a while ago, and I had to get it immediately. It's not like a 100% accurate replica, but it is very close. It has Charvel and EVH logo on it - those are just decals. All I know is that it's a partscaster, but hell it sounds great and looks stunning... Maybe in the future I'll get rid of the logos to make it more accurate to the actual thing, but to be honest I love the charvel logo on it.
EVH wrote all that with no one else to borrow from. Also designed all his own guitars. What a legacy he left!
Page and Clapton
Buddy Guy, Alan Holdsworth, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, AC/DC. He had influences, but he was able to do it all cleaner and faster than them.

@@marshallholland2248 Yeah, you could try and play like EVH and you will sound nothing like him. Have you ever heard Eddie's interview about Page's Heartbreaker solo inspiring him to tap on the guitar?
He was very influenced by Clapton, Page, Beck, Hendrix, Blackmore, Alvin Lee and Alan Holdsworth.

I was like HTF did they figure it out so fast?
Omg right? Like today you've got tabs and you can easily figure it out this way. But back when tapping the way Eddie did it was completely new, it is just amazing that these bands could get it down by ear so fast

Dude the tone sounds so good but how do you get that strat to stay in tune when doing divebombs and other whammy shenanigans?
This strat is equipped with locking tuners. It really helps with tuning stability during dives !

I'm always amazed how Eddie got that non-locking bridge to stay in tune before the Floyd's. Seems like this guitar is just as good. Can someone let me know how stable it is?
Technically speaking, Eddie with his standard trem is never "in tune". He used maany tricks. My guitar is equipped with Locking Tuners. They help A LOT.

Tbh with you I have no idea what pickup it is. What company? no idea too, it's a partscaster most definitely. The pickup looks like some sort of Seymour Duncan copy.
@@mw5150g whenever you change strings on it take pickgaurd off and look at the back of the pickup. That will tell you

Soon I will make a video about the tone. Coming from the Amp Fender Mustang LT25, it's a good tone for recording mainly.

Read the description. Also, EVH sells replicas on their website. Although, I wouldn't recommend it since they're pretty expensive. I'd advise you to either find a cheaper replica or build one yourself for a cheaper price
@@TheBlueShark Yeah they're definitely good, but for sure pretty pricey. Getting cheaper replicas that are just as good might be a better option.

It is. I am using 10s on this guitar. They feel great

You know what? Since a lot of people are asking me how do I get that Van Halen tone, I think I'm about to make a video somewhere soon about my tone, haha. I will be as detailed as possible.
For the tone I use a Fender Mustang LT25. Just my amp on that video. To get that nice early vh slapback echo I use my electro harmonix pedal which I explained in one of my older videos "Eddie Van Halen's Delay Settings".

Yeah for sure! The delay is a very essential part of Ed's tone, especially early tone. This was just a quick demo, so I didn't bother plugging my Memory Toy in🤣

Thanks a lot brother! Yeah, as I mentioned in the description, I found that beauty on OLX (which is like a Polish version of Ebay) for not a high price, I immediately purchased it, because it was a steal for what it is. It sounds amazing, it has locking tuners, but these logos are as you said, kinda weird. I am personally a big fan of the charvel logo, so I may keep em', but as of now I'm thinking of sanding them off...
Speaking about the amp settings, I'll send you in a bit because I'm not home rn, but I'll send you the settings ASAP.
So, here are the settings of the amp :
Gain : 4
Treble : 10
Middle : 6.5
Bass : around 3
I believe I didn't change anything on my amp for recording this video, but I definitely used that particular preset with those settings. The AMP setting on the Fender Mustang LT25 is "Burn"
And here's pretty much the most essential part, the 5 Band EQ :
LOW : -11.5
LOW MID : -11.0
MID : -2.5
HIGH MID : 12.0
HIGH : 12.0
That's how I get that nice tone. It definitely works for me, and it might work for you!

Around 350$ if i remember correctly? Really a steal for what it actually is!
Actually, the current pickup as you hear sounds really good, but I will probably swap it out for a different one in the future! I've always wanted to tryout the EVH Frankenstein pickup, I've heard those sound good.
