This will be a great project. I love the look of moss. Another great way to make free stuff! I love that.
Glad you like it Sue! I thought you are taking a break from social media
@@greatgardensforall LOL. I am, but not great garden-inspired videos like this.
I am totally going to do this, I have lots of moss in my yard and I love it. Thanks for showing me how!
These are just magical. So elegant and sweet. I think ill have them all year round. Just adorable. Thank you for gracing us with all of your wonderful ideas. Xoxo dana from pa zone 5b
That's my plan!
Thanks for the info! I’m definitely going to do this 👏👏👏
Beautiful and so simple to make! I have a question for you. I have a shady area in my yard that I'm trying to intentionally cultivate as a moss garden. Any suggestions about how to weed moss effectively without destroying it? The moss is taking hold but I'm also getting clover and other little weeds popping up through it. The moss you used for this project looks so clean and lovely!
Hmm, I would weed and patch the holes with more moss if available. Ideally you don't want any exposed soil or weeds will grow.
I’m not lucky enough to have moss growing but will invest in some to try making these. Thanks!
Yay. Great video. Thank u so much
Thank you, I have a moss I can use for this project.
I have never made a Moss ball , I might just have to try making one now, thanks Yulia
Excellent tutorial, My Friend. I will definitely use this DIY. Cheers.
Awesome! Thank you!
I'm going to try this...its so cool and they're cute gorgeous. Thanks.
You’re welcome 😊
Thank you. I will enjoy making these.
This is so doable. I have a moss garden in my yard and these will just add to the ambiance of the running water. Thank you.
Very doable!
Another project to add to my to do list. Love these!
Thank you , Thank You, Thank You, Yulia ! I still have a bunch of Moss on the ground under my Maple Tree...so I will be trying this soon ! Thanks for showing the various ways you can make them . Never knew you could put Moss on balled up Newspaper. I did attempt to make a Faux small Topiary with a Grapevine Sphere and Moss and then stuck it into a Pot. It looked great and looked real from a distance UNTIL my Cats discovered it and it became their new "toy". Blessings Yulia...you do such beautiful work !!!
Thanks Lorie!
I love these! Different and unique and easily done. Thank you for sharing❤
Thank you Julia. I love this idea. I will definitely be giving this a try 😉
So neat! Love them!! God bless!🙏🙂
Love this Yulia. Thank you.
Love these! Great tutorial, thank you!
I totally love moss too, this is a brilliant idea, think of the endless shapes you can make! Brilliant, look forward to seeing more creative videos, thank you for sharing.
How fun!👍🏽👏🏾🙏🥰
Thank you, Yulia! I love these and will give this a try. I have some faux birch balls that I adore and use for almost every season. The would look stunning paired with those on my mantel.
Sounds like it!
Thank you and Merry Christmas. I love moss and it grows like carpet in my MI garden. i make moss covered flower pots and place them next to my outdoor fish pond for the many little frogs that use them as a resting spot. I will be making the covered balls like you've made in the spring.
Sounds great Marie!
I love these so much and will definitely put some together. Need to see if I have any sphagnum left. Thanks so much for the great tutorial!
You are so welcome!
Moss is fascinating. Years ago I watched Paul James on HGTV use a blender to make a slurry with water and some moss he’d collected in his yard, then paint it on areas of a brick wall to age it.
😍😍Beautiful. I will be making.
Thank you for this! Questions: will the preserved moss grow as well? Or just the live moss? Also, how do you water? Do you only mist or do you like give it a dunk in some water?
Preserved moss won't grow. I place the ball in a bowl (haha) and let it soak for about 10 min.
Awesome ideas
Thank you and merry Christmas
This post is so timely for me. I have been collecting ideas for moss covered cement balls. Your ideas for the ball shapes are more manageable for me. Thanks for sharing!
Great tutorial Yulia, nice clear explanations with lots of options
Glad it was helpful!
🎄This is so fun! I always wondered how they do it. So cute for fairy gardens and any potted plant, maybe my Amaryllis... thank you so much, and enjoy a safe, happy weekend everyone ❤️🤶🏻🎁🎄
I was going to ask if you would do a tutorial on this when I watched your front door holiday decor. I am so glad you did.
I'm so glad!
I love these so much!!! Is there a way to buy or grow real moss if you don’t have a backyard supply?
I think I saw fresh sheet moos online. If your climate allows you can definitely grow it in a cool shady spot of the garden
Love these.
Thank you. I plan to make one!
I made a moss ball! What exposure does it prefer? I live in Michigan so US gardening zone 5-6.
Great tip! Thank you, those are beautiful.
Thank you for information very cool
I love this! Thanks for showing how.
You are so welcome Heather!
I absolutely love fern moss !
thank you!!!
0:28 Why are you talking about moss not being picky if you're using preserved moss? I believe preserved moss is dead, "preserved" using chemicals to maintain its lush green color.
This is such a great video. Simple directions and I think you addressed every question someone might have
I'm so glad!
So easy, thanks. I plan to make some for the yard and porch steps this spring.
Wonderful!
Hello, Thank you for doing this video I'm going to try this. I have a lot of moss around I absolutely love it now, I was the same I didn't used to like it.
Great idea !! They would look so cute in a big pot with tall flowers 💕
So simple and so effective. Thank you for showing us how.
Just watched a couple of your videos for the first time, loved them, I went ahead and subscribed and plan to watch many more, thanks
I love moss!!
Love it! These would look great year round! Thx for sharing!!🌳
loved it! very clear explainations, can i put my moss balls inside water in a jar??
My mosses are not growing . I collected them from my garden wall. I use to put water regularly what to do ?
Love it ❤ could we also use like chicken wire? 😮 to form it
Did anyone else have no video? It started to play and then went black!
Great instruction! I will try this soon.
Thank you so much, I’ve been hoping for this video. I’m off tomorrow to get supplies to make some 😍
yay! Have fun!
Интересная идея ! Попробую сделать и я.
How do you display them Yulia ? Do you hang them or just sit them for a nice display ? They look amazing 🤩 I have kokodama , great video thank you 😊🧤👒🦘🐨🇦🇺🎄merry Christmas Yulia 🙌
I place them around houseplants. around plants outside, on a mantle with holiday decor, etc. merry Christmas Karen!
Thank you I found you through Garden Answer . I live in Switzerland and our weather is almost the same ,I think
Wonderful!
Such an awesome idea. Thank you for showing another great way to continue to garden in the winter. Love your videos and look forward to every one you put out.

Baro terra !! Legal 👍
Love this! I am also going to do this. Beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing!
💚🌿 I’ll have to give this project a try. Love this idea.
Da pra fazer com grama?
Thank you for doing this video yulia, I’m so going todo these in my moss garden this year!
Where can i buy moss if i dont have it in my yard?
If you don’t have any growing maybe your climate is not favorable? Try using preserved moss like the Super moss.
I love theses!
I made 5 beautiful moss balls using your tutorial, but how would you recommend to care for them?
Awesome!!
I mist mine daily indoors and place outdoors in spring in a shady spot. Whether they do well will depend on your area. humid and rainy is what they like 😊😊
Thank you!
Love it Yuliya! You know I’m a sucker for moss too.
Yes!
I'm a retired florist and lifetime gardener. We used stryofoam and preserved sphagnum moss. Yours are so much nicer. I started a UA-cam channel 3 months ago using products from my garden and enjoying my yard's beauty as economically as I could. Your Moss Balls are a great idea. I'm in Windermere, Florida zone 9b so we don't see live moss like you do, but still a great idea.
Thank you!
I absolutely love the moss balls and plan on making some very soon, living in Texas with all the humidity should be a bonus! Thank you for sharing and Happy New Year.
Glad you like them!
Very nice!!! Merry Christmas! 🤗💜🌲
Thank you! You too!
@@greatgardensforall thank you!
👏👏👏👏
✨💞
Genius and so beautiful. There are so many ways to use these balls. Inside and out. On the tree is a great idea. Tfs.
Thanks so much 😊
Great idea Yuliya!
Glad you like it!
I loved this vlog, I really want to try this, Thankyou for sharing I absolutely love your channel :)
Thank you so much!!
@@greatgardensforall your welcome I always watch your channel , I love what you do in your garden i wish I had had a quarter of your knowledge 😊
So cute! Will definitely try! Yulia, Can you please talk about what you got hiding in your greenhouse & how you have it set up for temperature control, etc.? I bought one this year and I’m a little lost. 🥴❤️🪴
Do you mean the plastic ones in front of the house? I only use them in early spring to harden the seedlings, dahlias, etc. and take them down for the rest of the season.
@@greatgardensforall yes, that’s the one. I couldn’t find the one video where you showed it. I wish I had bought two smaller ones....one for cold tolerant plants & one for heat loving where I could add a heater.
Sounds like I’m pushing my luck. I’m trying to shelter some tender perennials & growing hardy annual seeds I started, but also wintering over some tropicals I love that are hard/expensive to replace. I think I need to buy another one for that last purpose. I don’t know, it’s mayhem over here, I’ve got plants all over the house 🪴🪴🪴 Thanjs for your response. 🙏
I'm in love with this project!
Aww, thank you!
I love this!
I love this!!!
Юля мне очень понравилось , хочу у себя
