Well done, Bill. Covered nearly everything I wanted to know about on the Ekko. The 'bat wing' feature is actually useful. Keep bikes, ebikes, etc. from getting wet in light rain.
Great walkthrough although would have liked to hear about how just the one battery handles the the fridge and the AC unit. Do you have any units with the two batteries and no generator? I’m also not interested in the tailgate package or the batwing awning.
For most people into the van life, some are spending $200k on less room and less storage, when professionally outfitted. $160k is normal, and you don’t get all warranties on the outfitted van. This I’m sure comes with services you do not receive with a custom outfitted van as well. This one you at least have that possible option. It doesn’t work for everyone and doesn’t pretend to be. If you want more space for the same price point this isn’t for you, it’s for people who want to option to go almost anywhere and are willing to pay to be comfortable in a small class B. You pay a premium for the smaller footprint. Class A’s & C’s are a great option if you want more room. The class B probably isn’t for you.
Anyone spending 200K on a van or B+ is a fool. Learn how to drive something a little bigger and save 10's of thousands for more room, water storage, real washroom/shower, real queen bed, cargo storage etc. Thank me later. Also a couple trying to full time in a little van wont be a couple very long, the channels on here have proven that 10X over.
@@tanishazoa138 We're both way off, they MSRP for $208K with no options, at 40% off its still $125K. Used ones are listing for $149 but they're trying to get back what they paid new.
26 minutes into the video before we see the tight cramped interior. With the 160k price tag I'll wager those 101st thru 105th units are still on the lot.
