- Lungern es una comuna suiza del cantón de Obwalden situada al sureste del cantón, en la frontera oriental con el cantón de Berna. Limita al norteste con la comuna de Giswil, al este con Sachseln y Kerns, al sur con Hasliberg (BE), Meiringen (BE), Brienzwiler (BE) y Hofstetten bei Brienz (BE).

I know these mountains like the back of my hand, i grew up in Lungern. Did you know, they sank the level of the lake more than 100 years ago to gain lands? Now while summer the level is at the normal level (as you see it) and the level gets down during winter time to make electricity.
