- Delaware's candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives met at the University of Delaware for Delaware Debates 2022 on Thursday, October 20. The virtual event was live streamed without an audience from a studio on UD's campus. Incumbent candidate Lisa Blunt Rochester, a Democrat, and Republican Lee Murphy discussed state and national issues with moderator Ralph Begleiter. This guy is not answering any of these questions. She is eating him up . They need to let her speak as much as they are letting him speak.
He had some great points on supply chain issues
It would have been more interesting if you let the candidates actually hash some things out instead of whining about 'attacks'. Oh no, he said she didn't support the police or voted with Nancy Pelosi 100% of the time. The humanity! If they're not able to talk about each others stances on anything, what is the point of the debate? Not really impressed with either candidate frankly. Spoiler alert: the Democrat will win.

Murph a Squish, Don’t Squish
he was trying to walk the razor's edge on a unpopular GOP agenda, and couldn't answer beyond platitudes. She has experience and produces results. He just doesn't have competence.
Yikes. I didn't come into this liking the Congresswoman, but listening to Lee Murphy sputter there like a tea kettle, struggling to make any kind of point has made feel better denying him any power.
"We need to cut spending."
What spending, Mr. Murphy? Which departments? By how much? What programs?
"We need to reduce regulation."
What regulation, Mr. Murphy? In what industry? To what extent? For what purpose?
Even if I don't vote for Lisa Blunt Rochester, I appreciated her self control, and effort to speak specifically, and carefully when she talked.
I agree, Murphy could have done better but given our country's current situation I will always choose the candidate that promotes freedom for all and the constitution. If we loose them, America no longer exists.
@@dragonwarrior4589 It's a moot point now because Murphy did not win, but if that's all it takes to get your vote, than you're asking to be deceived.
You should be cautious of people like Lee Murphy who broadly promise things like "freedom" but can't articulate a platform to achieve it.

If she holds other policy differences that you disagree with, that's one thing. At least she was specific about what she believed. As far as I could tell, Lee Murphy didn't seem to have any kind of plan - just platitudes.

Lee Murphy does not offer any solutions. He says the standard boiler plate negative attacks that have no facts to back them up. I'm voting for Lisa Blunt Rochester, who has the experience and track record showing that she is bipartisan and wants to resolve issues.
What issues has she resolved, I can't seem to think of any?

You do realize that when you put the inflation reduction act in the play you’re printing more money the more money you print the less valuable to dollar becomes the higher our debt goes
