The Madre De Deus Church is a famous centre of pilgrimage, under the Latin catholic Arch Diocese of Trivandrum. People from all parts of Kerala and outside, irrespective of caste and creed come to the church seeking the blessings of Christ the King.
The church is dedicated to the Mother of God - Madre De Deus - which is combination of two foreign words; derived from Portuguese and Latin ‘Madre’ means Mother and De Deus means ‘of God’.

I was raised Catholic and this is the first time I've seen someone remove their shoes to enter a church. It's not required, but I guess local habits die hard. As much as I prefer older buildings, I can't deny the sheer beauty of this church. The combination of European and Indian architectural styes is truly astounding!

Church is beautiful to see. But Jesus is not going to look at the church,. How many believers will go with Jesus when the blessed hope happens or rapture. Only who accept Jesus as Savior repent, baptize, fill in holy spirit, worship in truth and spirit will be rapture when Son of Man appear in sky. His coming is imminent. This generation this will happen. Otherwise Bible say our heads will be beheaded by Antichrist army. Bible also says without baptism nobody enters heaven except in some other cases.. Heaven is more beautiful than this folks...repent worship in truth and spirit...
