I know a lot of you who follow me also work in the healthcare field, so today I figured I would show you HOW TO EASILY SANITIZE YOUR SCRUBS WORKING IN HEALTHCARE DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC! During this COVID-19 pandemic, it is really important to sanitize everything thoroughly and this is how I have gone about doing it!

Yes just found this stuff and I’m loving it. I am a medical assistant/ nursing student and I use this in my scrubs especially

I hope your letting it soaks for 16 mins or else your just wasting it ... it says it on the directions .

I used this stuff to remove fish odors on my microfiber cleaning towels. Worked so well.
Downside: i experienced skin reaction when i used it on my bedsheets. I only use this now for door rugs, cleaning cloths and curtains.
Glad it worked well, but that stinks that your skin had a reaction 😩

Is this sanitizer dangerous to use on towels you will be drying your face with? Also is it safe to wash my dogs blanket that she will be sleeping on?
I use it on towels, clothes, blankets and have not had any issues! Not have I noticed my cats having issues with blankets they sleep on!
I just picked this up but to me it’s just confusing why it has to be washed in the rinse cycle and not the regular wash cycle. That’s so backwards to me.
I think it’s because of the ingredients! There may be a chemical reaction that can harm clothes 🤷🏻♀️

Why cold doesn't heat kill germs
With washing machines the water temperature doesn’t matter for sanitizing. The only way for a washing machine to sanitize clothes is if your machine has a specific sanitize setting. The water won’t get hot enough to sanitize them. Cold water saves move on water, electricity, helps clothes keep their color, and it gets stains out.
Do you use the sanatizer as a replacement for the fabric softner?

@Allie Young do u think it still works if one uses it at same time while washing with the soap. Instead of using it at the softener cycle?
I’m not sure 🤔 may cause a reaction and fade clothes if you are doing it all at once rather than separate, but I’m not sure! Maybe reach out to Lysol!
I read that the Lysol Sanitizer is NOT to be mixed with laundry soap. Please check on this info with manufacturer. I use it on the Rinse cycle only and I stop the machine to let it soak for 16 minutes.
The bottle says to run this in the rinse cycle for 16 minutes to be effective.
Yes, which is the same setting as fabric softener!

Does the water have to be cold or can it be hot water as well? Cause doesnt hot water kill germs also?
I only ever wash my clothes with cold water, and the directions say to use cold water too. Maybe check the Lysol website and see if they have the answer!
The hot water that your washing machine puts out is nowhere near hot enough to kill germs.

😳 I’m guessing you haven’t had any clothing mishaps which is good! Start putting it in where the softener goes and see if you notice a difference!
Can you use in washers that do not have detergent trays??
My fabric softener dispenser doesn’t work anymore so I have a downy ball that I use instead. The ball releases the fabric softener/ disenfectant during the rinse cycle.

Yes it has to be in contact for 15 minutes.
Only if you want to disinfect. If it's just to sanitize you don't need to pre-soak. Read the bottle.

Can we apply the Lysol sanitizer directly to the washing compartment during the rinse cycle?
I always put it in the fabric softener slot, I’m not sure if it would be properly released if used in the regular compartment 🤔 maybe reach out to them and ask!

If you put this in the fabric softener compartment, can you put your fabric softener in as well?
No, you do not want to mix fabric softener with this! This is used to replace fabric softener!
