100%! We can all sit around arguing about which is "the best way" to invest going forward. But at the end of the day, the one you can stick with over the long term is going to net the best results for you. For example, I always like to poke fun at young people who over-invest for dividends because it doesn't logically make sense at their age...but if focusing on investing for "dividend income" keeps them shoving money into their accounts and not selling then they should continue doing it.
Jarrad, just a heads up. The retirement planning service you recommend has somewhat sleazy subscription cancelation practices. For example, after signing up online, they require you to email them directly to cancel or alter your subscription. Thought you'd want to know. I signed up and cancelled immediately after I found out the hard way.
Appreciate the heads up. I’ll each out to my contact to find out why they do this. Hopefully it’s because of something with their internal process and not because they’re doing something shady. We’ll see.
All you need is 5 investments of $200k each for instant millionaire status. Alternatively, 5 investments of $2 each and 350 years later, bam! Millionaire status
I'm so glad someone asked about your shirts. A few weeks ago I took a screen shot, enlarged it and still couldn't make out the logo on your left shoulder. You must have a dozen different colors. I'm about to order a few. Thanks Jarrad and Shannon!
Yea, I've accumulated a bunch of them over time because the fit is perfect for my body type and what I'm looking for. "Fitness T-Shirt" is the exact style. The material is perfect for any casual social setting even though it's called "fitness t-shirt".
Hey , have a quick question about my 1st time investing journey that started last week with 3 etf's. VOO SCHD & SMH.. thoughts? I'm GenX with 20 or so to make this happen, appreciate your opinion. Thanks
Jarrod, thanks for the video. You mention not to buy another companies fund on a different platform. I invest with Schwab, but currently have 100% of savings in VTI (young, good income, etc.). I asked Schwab about a year ago if I was paying any additional fees/expenses buying a Vanguard fund and they said no. Am I missing something or do these extra expenses/fees you're referring to only apply to the target date funds? Thanks!
Great question. I was mainly referring to the traditional index fund version of these. The ETF versions (like VTI) can be purchased on any platform without incurring additional fees so you're good to go
Please, would you do a review over why you would not pick iShares LifePath ETF’s for a 401k. And what would you pick in replace of it? I actually have LifePath ETF 2045 (pretty sure they put it as a default). if I’m leaving money on the table and there’s a better option, I would love to know! How do you feel about bitcoin ETF’s? I know you’ve done a video a few months back talking about not getting into those hyped ETF’s. Like, AI, cyber security etc. I’m trying to have the best performance for my 401k and also trying to open up a good Roth IRA too. Hopefully you see this message. I know this videos is about two weeks old. Anyway, thank you! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Even though I wouldn't personally invest in it doesn't mean it's not in my top 5 portfolios if someone asked. You're correct that a few years ago, I said I didn't like it, but I came to my senses after doing more research (hopefully, I'm allowed to change my mind on topics 😂). That's why last year I put it in my top 5 ETFs. Reference: ua-cam.com/video/Gs0KBX1jC7w/v-deo.htmlsi=TJKKGBezHZIlpTLj&t=970
Something to note is that a bond fund does not behave the same way as a bond (ladder). A bond fund will (regularly) sell bonds at a loss which any rational investor would not do if holding bonds in a ladder.
I first need to say that I have zero affiliation with these guys other than I listen to their podcast (Mind Pump Show on UA-cam/highly recommended), and I started using their training programs (they work). The one I'm finishing up right now is called MAPS Anabolic. I like it so much that I plan on revisiting it many times in the future. www.mindpumpmedia.com/maps-anabolic These guys understand how to properly program workouts at a deep level so you're not just going into the gym doing random shit. They know how to play with the different variables (weight, reps, sets, intensity, rest periods, etc.) to give you the results you're looking for. They have a ton of different programs to fit anyone's needs/lifestyle www.mindpumpmedia.com/maps-fitness-individual-programs The programs might seem expensive on the surface, but they're really not when you think about how they can continue to be used forever. Sign up for their email list because they usually offer discounts. Your diet also has a lot to do with results. If you're still eating and drinking like a teenager as an adult, then that part of your lifestyle needs to be cleaned up as well.
The things that are hot today will make you poor over the long run. You can partial shares of everything I mentioned in this video so the price for a full share is irrelevant.
Thanks for the content.
Thank you for the break down. Bottom line is that Not Investing is 10x worse than picking anyone of your suggested strategies.

I'm on SMH which is not low in expense ratio, but its performance is higher than similar (specific) etfs with even lower expense ratio
Great tips. Thanks for sharing!

Uh, besides the creepy skull prominently displayed on your shelf, that was some good actionable info. Thanks Jarrad.
😂 sorry it creeped ya out. It's my personal memento mori
What type of shirt are you wearing? I won’t look the same since I’m not jacked but I’ll try to honor it well
Tasc Performance. Well I challenge you to get jacked so you can fill it out nicely. Keep me posted on how it's going.

The target date bond fund sounds great until stocks underperform the first half and over perform the second half of your timeline.

Highly under rated channel, keep up the great work!
What ETFS do you recommend for a TRADITIONAL IRA? I am a new investor performing a rollover of my ROTH 401K into a ROTH & TRADITIONAL IRA account.

What if you’re already retired?
Just say for educational purposes and talk about what’s hot, we need $30 stocks not $191 or higher. We ain’t rich
