I've always wanted to learn this tune properly though, and a couple weeks ago I decided to try it again, and this video was the first link I clicked after searching to see if anyone had a how-to for it. Now, thanks to you, I have it all down, and it's just a matter of getting it all up to speed. I learned a lot from this song, in particular, the way you teach it, and I don't mean just the song itself. Eric Johnson's technique is a bit unusual, so I also learned new ways to approach these scales and licks through your in-depth analysis of it all. I want to thank you for this, but also for all your other videos I've seen, which are first rate. You're not only a first rate player, but a first rate teacher as well, and that's kind of a rare gift. Cheers to you!

Been going back over some favorite giant guitar songs like Cliffs and was surprised to see you honestly since I usually see you doing more radio rock.
