Wow! Hi love. I really like what you did with this video. I'm new to your channel. You've really inspired me with my transitioning 4c hair. I was very doubtful at first, mainly because my mom isn't supportive of me going natural at all. But im so excited for this journey. Love love love how you do this. Do you have any personal tips for growth or trying to maintain moisture? I feel like my hair dries out. Maybe it's just me not moisturizing everyday. I'll get better. Anyways thanks for sharing this🌸💗
Hey love! Thank you so much! It took me a while to truly accept my hair texture and learn how to care for it. I can attribute much of my growth to protective styling. I mainly wear wigs with my hair in twists underneath. My hair retains so much moisture when I leave it twisted after applying the LOC method to moisturize it. I usually shower without anything coving my hair just to let it get some moisture and then I seal it with a light oil at night. I hope that helps.
Chanel Oldham thank you love! I'm keeping up with the protective styling. Now I have to learn how to braid my own hair and twist. I wear my wig. But im really bad at keeping my hair braided underneath. But thank you so much for this💟
God bless you. The patience you have for your hair is outstanding. I am taking down my sewn in and will finally be wearing my natural hair. Excited to watch your videos. super helpful.
I use cocoa butter in my butter mixture and have not experienced any stiffness or dryness. I was surprised that you said that. Have you tried to leave it in your hair to see what would happen? It's been a game changer for me. I love your videos and your hair.
+TheMsPhyl At the end I slept in it overnight and I loved the way my hair felt. I love using it in my pre-poo and sometimes in the loc method after washing!
you have beautiful hair but I have a question because your hair is similar to mine. I try to stretch my hair buy putting my hair in 8 hair ties and braiding the rest of my hair. I've realized the back of my hair (roots) stretches a lot but some parts of my hair is so tangled and I can't even part it, let alone conrow it. do you have any tips?
I know exactly what you mean because my hair does that near my crown. If you use this method and try the felicia leatherwood brush it should help. The cocoa butter mixture + water w/ cocnut vinegar help to break up the tangles and the brush can get all the way down to your roots to detangle. It also provides a nice scalp massage from the bristles without breaking your hair. You can also dry african threading you stretch your hair more at the roots.
If you mean it tangles at the roots in a styled state, be sure to apply styling product root to tips and in smaller sections. Any hair that doesn't have product on it tends to tangle. Also be sure to clarify every month or so.
You have to try it! I mixed in some conditioner before to deep condition and it was amazing! it just helps your coils melt apart and softens them. I love it!
😱😱thank you thank you thank you.. I thought u would never find anyone close to my hair type and have a informative pre poo😍😍thank u so much and u have a new subscribers
I don't remember letting it be in its melted state fully but I remember it started cooling before I could finish my hair and my hair was white and very hard. I had to re-wash it just to fix it.
I'm sorry this answer is so late but if I was coming out of a protective style I would finger detangle during the prepoo and detangle with the felicia leatherwood brush or something similar while conditioning.
+arielleBeex3 nope, I made sure I thoroughly finger detangled before using the brush. The bristles are very flexible because of how the brush is designed.
Sorry for the late reply. Pre pooing helps to breakdown any buildup on your hair and scalp and helps to condition the hair before applying shampoo which can be stripping and drying.

Lola B find out your hairs porosity. then start to research how to maintain the moisture from there.

Need Help!!!
I have 4c hair
Should i detangle during the prepoo or conditioning process after taking out protective style?
yes definitely detangling during the prepoo process def helps with when you decide to have the wash day.
I'm sorry this answer is so late but if I was coming out of a protective style I would finger detangle during the prepoo and detangle with the felicia leatherwood brush or something similar while conditioning.
When do you apply the oils? I saw you add the coconut vinegar water and twist then put on the plastic cap ... Did miss something?
i applied the oils after the coconut vinegar and prior to detangling.
Hello, nice video, but how long have you been using this method?
Thank you! I've been using it for about a month and I liked the results.
NEW SUB yay another 4C UA-camr♡
How often are you pre-pooing/washing with shampoo after?
This video is older but I would pre poo about once a month.
Now this is what I call a prepoo!
Thanks love!
Teirra Marie sis? Lol Beautiful! Nice video!
😆 that’s a new one I haven’t heard before!
Do you get a lot of shedding or breakage with the Felicia Leatherwood brush? I have 4c hair as well and I'm considering purchasing one.
+arielleBeex3 nope, I made sure I thoroughly finger detangled before using the brush. The bristles are very flexible because of how the brush is designed.
Chanel Oldham cool. Thanks!
What does coconut vinegar smell like?
LOVE IT! We have very similar hair!

you have made a subscriber out of me
Thanks love! I appreciate the support! Do you have any video requests?
Why do you pre poo hair. What happens after pre pooing. What stores can i buy the products.
Sorry for the late reply. Pre pooing helps to breakdown any buildup on your hair and scalp and helps to condition the hair before applying shampoo which can be stripping and drying.
Thank you for posting, New Subbie here...
aww thank you!
I love your hair 💚💙
Thanks love!
Would you ever do makeup tutorials
I actually have one filmed. it should be going up within the next week =)
you know I've been using this word n don't know what it means.. what's the meaning of prepoo?
It’s a pre shampoo treatment used to nourish your hair before shampooing so that you don’t strip your hair too much.
