I really appreciate your way of demonstrating your craft...the explanation of the why and how is awesome...demystifying the process. This newby is thankful!
If u are wanting the gold in the middle try this. Make your puddle of gold like u did, then make a circle of the other color around the gold and swirl it inwards. So you are keeping the gold in the middle under the other paint. Then move it around to cover the canvas. In my head it works. Lol. Thanks for your videos.
This painting is absolutely stunning. The bigger rings gives so much debt with that dark blue. And absolutely love how the goal pops up around the edges of the paint framing it so beautifully. This is a favorite and have this on my wall anytime. Thank you so much for sharing
Like a big beautiful blue Rose , I really like the gold cell border. I have mastered the border technique and I got some great results using gloss paint as the cushion.base , the cells were popping up instantly through the top even as I was still tilting. I did lots of experiments and I feel that i have it sussed now, a loose cushion base of plenty . I love this creation of yours, its lush.💚💚
I think it's so beautiful. It looks like a spiral cloud floating in outer space. Very peaceful to me.. the gold frames the cloud and it's lovely! 💙💙💙💙💙🥇🏅🏆
This turned out so very freakin BEAUTIFUL!!!! It looks like a very close up photo of a blue rose. The gold pops around the rose... so very very BEAUTIFUL!!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!
Was happy to see how you got bigger rings. Great tip, pour closer to the canvas to get bigger rings. Now I know what I have been doing wrong. Love this painting.
This is your Masterpiece. I am in awe of your life's work. This quality comes with experience. You set a gold standard with your work. Absolutely magnificent
That painting is absolutely gorgeous! Your previous pours were good but not this level of fantastic! Your perseverance is a great reminder to me to keep on trying with different techniques until I get what I wanted. Thank you for sharing who you are and what you do.
This one is so well behaved! I love how the little spots are coming up through the black. They add so much To the sense of dimension! They are all keepers to me!
Absolutely stunning! Thank you so much for explaining everything so clearly, and which is thicker and thinner colours that makes such a difference between pours using the exact same colours.
Well done persevering Julie. It’s worth it when you finally work something out. I’ve had a problem with my Dutch Pours that are my favourite Pour. Every so often I’d mix up a litre of paint and, though I’d had truly beautiful canvases, I just couldn’t work out why some batches of paint were producing so much lace. After literally twenty failures I worked out what my problem was; actually my son (also a painter, although just straight painting, not fluid) offered a suggestion. I decided, tired as I had 3 full days of failures, to alter my thinking. It worked! So I know how you feel about perseverance and working through the problems. Your Pour was stunning even before the gold came up - it really looked like a hand drawn rose. You are so talented - and you put in the hard work and the cost of the paints. I’m giving you another donation because I’ve learned so much from you. Thank you so much. I don’t do Ring Pours very often but I just love watching you do them! I think you’ve nailed what needs to happen - less paint.
Fabulous! I think I'm getting the idea with putting down a pillow of gold first, then using shades of blue/blue-green/black for the ring pour. Will try this tomorrow!
Looks like a rose with golden rain droplets dancing on the edges because the rose has opened up and it has the rain only on the edges... I think it’s very pretty 💖
It’s so pretty!!!! That ring is more than a rose that than a ring!!! Awesome color, it doesnt matter gold in this paint, really like it so much!!!!!! 👏👏👏🤩❤️
This is really nice. If you want more gold pearls, consider laying down a thick layer of gold at the corners and edges..then do your ring pour just as you did here. In watching MelyD do this, It seems the trick is to pour the paint off the edge then quickly bring it back. Pearls pop up like crazy!
Whipper-snipper?! That’s a much better term than we use over in the states: edging. Sometimes we say “weed-eating”. Like the bigger rings and all the gold this time. Lovely!
Whipper-snipper usually has a plastic line/thread which are used against things like trees and walls. We have edgers which have a metal rod which we edge pathways and driveways with
I’ve actually been experimenting with this technique too. I guess you could say a Dirty Pearl Ring Pour....lol. I am doing 1 round of paint in layers like a ring pour and then finish it with a dirty cup. Cross your fingers it’s a success. I’m going to have to give this one a try. I want to achieve something similar. A little action in the middle with pearls closer to the center!
That might be my favorite blue rose of all time!
It’s a beautiful. 3-D rose in gold packaging. It’s so pretty.
HANDS DOWN THE BEST!! Anything she has done is SUPERIOR!!
It's like a blue rose! Fabulous! Love it.

All types and cell shapes are pretty and they all have there place in the eye of the beholder.
Same, a nice blue rose in the middle, I love it!
