Looks like localised flash curing because of the metal getting hot during curing. I rather link it. Great make Julie. I've been hassling for a black PU too. I don;t think they understand our need for black. I use gallons of black
Looks gorgeous my suggestion for this design is to try using a light green blue or blue green for the bottom coat of resin. Love the look with the bubbles mixed in the shaker ball springs. As always thanks for sharing awesome content that is fun enjoyable and entertaining to watch.
Hi Julie, I wonder if the heat from the resin curing and the metal getting hot caused the reaction. The extra heat being concentrated on the metal surface, sort of flash cured the nearby resin. I really like the look. ❤
Oh Chica he's adorable 😍! The medal looks fantastic 👌 👏 😀. I really love the color of the eyes. Very beautiful, the color of the eyes just grab your attention. I love you showing the birds and how you have them trained to get there food from you. Is absolutely adorable. ❤🎉😊
That really looks great. I wasn’t sure about the spiral balls but they really add to the depth and design! The “crystallizing “ of the resin looks beautiful too.And the eyes!!! Also I loved the birds!
If anyone is wondering, these springs are for smoothie shaker cups 😊 Really cute the way it turned out. Not a 100% sold on the silver fins, maybe clear but with the black coat like the body. But that’s just a personal preference, because it really is adorable 🥰
I think the turtle turned out just fine and I'm sure you're right that somehow the metal and resin have some sort of reaction together but i think in this case it worked well.
The springs remind me of the springs you put things like beads, crystals etc in for pendants. These would make a big necklace! Although I did have a teacher in high school who wore some interesting necklaces lol.
To get resin to properly adhere to metal, you need to clean the surface thoroughly and create some texture by sanding or using a wire brush to provide a surface that the resin can cling to.
The bird segment was awesome. Turtle turned out neat. I think same turtle with springs but with fairy lights. Think it would reflect of the springs and show off the dimension.
I love how the spring in the head looks but I guess I don’t get the springs in the body of this particular mold. So many details that make a turtle are not visible. However, you do you Julie, I’ll always appreciate your visions. ❤️🇦🇺
I’ve never done a really deep pour, but when I do layers, I pour the next layer before the previous one is completely cured. I’ve never had visible layers. (I don’t recall where I got that tip, unfortunately.)
Why do I feel a little confused?? I’ve seen this video before but it’s not listed. The one from yesterday isn’t listed either?? I feel like I’m in an alternate universe 😂😂😂😂😂
Loved this, even with the weird thing the resin decided to do. Do your magpies ever swoop? I got swooped for the first time recently but still love them. Their bird call/sound is so pretty.
You were the first today...many of us watched this last night...but she reloaded it and edited a part that you could hear people in the background...lol

It doesn't even look like a mistake, I love it ❤❤.

The effect of the metal is beautiful and adds interest.
This idea was so cool. We needed to see it twice.
Wow, it turned out beautifully, i dont think what happened around the springs has ruined it, it gives it more character ❤❤❤❤
I think it gives a cool affect.
Worth it for the incredible close ups of the bird babies!!!

Very unique ❤
Hi Julie, I think he looks really cute. I love the way the spring worked out in his head, too. It's very unique.

I think the weird stuff that happened in the metal coils looks cool. Kinda like cracked glass beads or something.
I'm confused too. I watched this last night.
I Love it !!! Absolutely Amazing 😊❤❤❤❤
Looks fabulous!
Wow so adorable turtle.
I love watching all the birds on your deck! Is Kookie the same one from other years? 😍
I love your ideas ❤🎉
Oooooh i love your birdy friends ❤❤❤

That turned out ok. I like it
Hi from Canada!! Hope you are having lovely weather.
Why do I feel a little confused?? I’ve seen this video before but it’s not listed. The one from yesterday isn’t listed either?? I feel like I’m in an alternate universe 😂😂😂😂😂
Yep I’m there with you 🤪🤪🤪🤪
So I am not the only one. Good to know. I was getting confused.
Whew.
Good…I’m not losing my mind 😂
This bird part was on a different video. I’ve not seen a video with the big turtle and those weird balls.
Super cool!
Love it
I am thinking about a pressure pot but not sure if I could put the resin in the mold inside the pot. I have a debubbler already. What is your idea.
Looks so cool Julie❤ Mechanical turtle.
You have such a lovely space. I'll see a resin retreat in your future. Lol there's a lovely space for my tent off in the corner of your yard.
Amazing!!!!❤❤❤❤
Wow that is so cool??
They sound like the robots on Star Wars! 😂
I watched this yesterday ❤❤❤
What is it for this turtle!!
I think he looks awesome . How about trying one with film on the bottom ?
Loved this, even with the weird thing the resin decided to do.
Do your magpies ever swoop? I got swooped for the first time recently but still love them. Their bird call/sound is so pretty.
So cool! As always…painful job!

What kind of birds are those?
those metals coils might’ve had some oils on them
So excited to be the first viewer! She just posted this approximately one minute ago. Signed Super Dork. 💕🤓🍂

Julie you. have us all stumped. Why did you repost this video. What happened??
It’s so neat to see you feed the birds but I’m terrified of them🫣
I just watched this video yesterday. 🫢
