W Rose. Best place to buy is speedcrete online they deal direct from Kraft tools in America. If that’s a blade with plenty flex in it jay would just take chunks out side in time. Rose do a more thicker blade that will chop through bricks no problems better than most brands on market.
Personally prefer to use hammer when cutting bricks.

Just wanted to say I noticed you had a 8 month break from doing videos.
I hope you continue to come back and post regular videos. Your videos are fantastic and your a excellent craftsman.
Also I finally ordered one of those trowels.
I'm waiting for it to be delivered by DHL.
I decided to buy one as last few jobs I have been doing I have been working from a bucket due to space limitations.
I ordered the JUNG Brick Trowel "Antwerpen", swan neck 190 x 142 mm
I have seen nearly all your videos. I was struggling deciding between the Brussels antwerpen and florette .
    I chose the antwerpen 👍
Keep up the good work 👍👍👍🙏 Your projects are quality 💪👍

Hello mate thanks a lot man I will be posting more very shortly ;) ..I think the Antwerp model is a great trowel .. if I had to choose one it would be this one for sure .. great for out a bucket !!! If you really like it I suggest to order a second one .. a floreffe 180 .. it’s a bit smaller with a slightly thinner handle .. really handy little trowel .. it the same model just slightly smaller but feels very different .. not easy to explain but when you handle it you will know what I mean .. anyway again many thanks much appreciated 🙏🏼

@@JayKTS no worries mate I love your videos, so informative and interesting 👍 always post regular videos if you can. 👍
I'm from the UK (England) .
I saw your video where you compared your trowel to ours. Your trowel seems much thicker and stronger, less flexible.
I'm interested to see how it preforms. I thought the round tip , shape and size would be perfect for using when working out of a bucket.
Thanks 🙏👍 if I like it I will order the floreffe 👍😁🍻

you'd be alright to cut bricks with the rose trowel , they are more robust than you might think . I agree though the jung trowels are amazing for cutting bricks, i still use the one you sent to me for laying bricks 👌 great looking brickwork as always Jay

Did you get the one with the blue handle and the s-shaped neck ? Excellent trowel the 180 is the smallest and the one I’m currently using .. I do slim them down with a grinder till the shape of a floreffe 😄 but I like the front tip shape most on the Brussels

Good choice . I have the jung Floreffe 180 great trowel . I work out of tubs like jay when I use it . They are not as effective when working off boards.

@@JayKTS why do you prefer the s-handle over the straight one? Is it easier on the wrist?

    • @JayKTS
      @JayKTS  3 роки тому +2

Yes much easier on the wrist .. and more handling options , you can use that part as some kind of pivotpoint at your index finger makes it more versatile than a straight one 🙏🏼

Just got a second trowel in the mail, picked it up on Amazon... a W. Rose, Wide London and I must say the quality is questionable... My first thought was that it has to be a counterfeit made by 6 year old drunk kid.... Everything about it is butt ugly and off, crooked, a real disappointment... How the hell do I get a hold of one your trowels? Tried on-line but no success... thanks again for sharing Jay 🤟

Evan if this link doesn’t work I’ll send you one www.eurafco.com/eng/jung-65319000-brick-trowel-floreffe-190-x-142-mm-4010496653200.html
For the concrete blocks you are laying it’s less suited I think .. for bricks and normal sized blocks it’s a handy thing

Thanks Jay, it seems to have worked. 👍👍👍 The trowel price seems really reasonable... The shipping on the other hand, lol more than the trowel...
Maybe for the block it’ll be ok but I’m practicing with solids and commons bricks as well. I think they call them commons in England, here they’re called briques de remplissage... They’re really inexpensive to mess up...
      Thank you again Jay!

All right ! Except for the shipping damn , I hope that they don’t charge too much import taxes in 🇨🇦 ? In Belgium it’s a straight ripoff if I order from the states or outside the EU.. customs clearance is a real not funny joke here .. have a good weekend Evan 🙏🏼

Evan have you not seen any of my posts about these w.rose trowels .? You should never buy them on line . They are made from top class materials but they are very inconsistently made you should always go to a shop and buy them in person so that you can pick out one that suits you . handle angles all over the place , tang ( piece between the end of the blade and before it enters the handle) laying back greater than 90 degrees couple that with a savage high handle angle that they often come with and its just a disaster.the blades on them can come really stiff as well. Have you seen rodians review of the one that an American chap sent him .trowel looks top class but it got a very high handle angle on it . Look through jays videos and he explains the way trowel handle angles are properly set .
