Why there is notch at 2000Hz
This can be explained by bone conduction mechanisms. Middle ear inertia is most effective in frequency ranges if 1.5 to 2kHz.Stapes footplate is fixed. So ossicular and inner ear fluid inertia are less efficient. That is, CN is due to lack of excitation mainly from inertial component of ossicles close to a resonance frquency of 1.5kHz and to a lesser extent from the inertia of cochlear fluids
Very helpful lecture Ma’am!!
Thank you very much Madam professor,
I kindly request you to explain the cause of Carhart's notch in details e.g while a dip in 2000Hz
and also explain why fenestration in footplate in surgery is usually done in posterior one third of footplate? Please

@@DrSujathasENTClasses Thank you Madam
Thank you so much ma'am. You have simplified shambaugh . Only gratitude
👍🍫
Madam can you say which textbook you follow while teaching
mainly Scott & brown, shambaugh,Robinson,Cumming's and recent journals
Thanks ma'am....was very useful....always clearing from basics
What's the reason for carhart's notch?? Plz explain Mam.

Thank you mam for all your lectures.
😎🌹
Mam thankyou very cery much
Why there will be autophony in otosclerosis ma'am?
Any disorder with Eu.Tube can cause autophony. For people with otosclerosis, their own voice is heard much louder in the affected ear and because of this patients speak much softly. Vascular causes, mechanical or superior semicircular canal dehiscense if coexisting with otosclerosis will also cause autophony
GREAT......THANK YOU
Thank you
Excellent madam.bisphosphonates role also
Thank you
Thank you mam

Thanks you mam
Well explained maam👏👍
Thankyou maam
