Thank you so much for the nice compliment 💝🎻
Awesome! I grew up playing classical & dont think in chords very easily. This makes so much sense...so helpful! Thank you!
Thanks a million for that pattern tip Michelle that is quite a blessing for guitar playing new fiddle learner , it is so simple I should have found it my self. I FEEL DUMB FOR NOT REALIZING IT.
Oh so glad it helped heres a little video that helps spell the chord 👍 ua-cam.com/video/Z3NhgGaEjEs/v-deo.html

Thank you, this really helped, what else can u help me
Thanks for making this more logical. Can you please show how to play the chords thanks
Hi Mic12 here is a new handy video that helps explaining the actual chord ( go to the end for chord explanation 👍) ua-cam.com/video/Z3NhgGaEjEs/v-deo.html
wow that was really helpful thank you. Being that a chord is at least 3 notes, how do you decide other than the root which note to sound when making double stops? Is there a simple rule similar to the one you used here?
Hi James - here is another little video on finding the 3 notes of the chords👍 ua-cam.com/video/Z3NhgGaEjEs/v-deo.html
This is so helpful! Btw, did you write a thesis about women in bluegrass? I read a thesis by someone with your name... wondering if that was you.
I'm so glad you found it helpful👍🎻 ( that thesis sounds amazing - it was not me but I'd love to read it😉)
@@edwardsviolin Ok. Thanks for replying!
Do you have any tips nn how to memorise all the notes in various position
Ever tried repetition with the voice - as Tortellier said If you cant hum it you cant play it
looking at charts ? Is the ear any help?
If I understand your question- yes often you can hear the chord changes to the 1, 4 and 5 easily - from this chart you would build your chord on these notes so say a G chord would be GBD 👍
Looks a bit like Nashville Notation system.
Yep just tweaked a little bit more for us violin/fiddlers👍👍👍🎻 thanks for watching!
You don't appear to be laying out a I IV V chord PROGRESSION right? You are merely showing the NOTES that make up the I IV V of a given chord, right? I'm seeing this for the first time and I'm a little perplexed by the simplicity!! Thanks maybe when I sit with my fiddle later it will come together; I hope!
1cleandude This just gives you the beginning note for the I IV and V - you would have to build from the beginning note of each of these chords ( the third and the fifth up ) to have the full chord 👍
Hi friend here is a handy video explaining how to find the notes in a chords ( towards the end of this video👍 ua-cam.com/video/Z3NhgGaEjEs/v-deo.html
A little tip. It's all you need to start.
Yep👍👍👍
