I just watched the clip from Faustino and it is really impressive. The best part is when he reached the endgame and said in Spanish: “If I lose this I can retire from chess” 😂😂😂 imagine saying that with 10 years and then proceed to win against the GOAT 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Wow he really wanted to retire if he lost, he really is the Messi of Chess! 🤣
Damn 😂😂😂
I can’t find the link
That was after Carlsen's terrible blunder gave him a clearly winning position.
The dance at the end was 🔥🔥🔥
I saw this live on Faustino's own UA-cam channel. The kid is unbelievable. He also defeated Daniel Naroditsky. And Nakamura as well a couple weeks ago. At one point this Saturday he got upset with his playing and said "What am I doing?! The only good thing today is I beat Carlsen" 😂😂 How many people can say that? Vamos Fausti!
No chill xD great kid
It's a lie bro. Its just to get these kids to watch their channel. It would be 100 - 0 if it was real.
@@Optim40 Invite him to play a live chess match so we can all witness your humiliation.
@@tuckson2321 The humiliation is you thinking a 10 year old can actually beat Magus or Nakamura. That's all for content. Wake up.
@@Optim40you’re incredibly slow
On his stream he literally says "If I lose this, I can retire from chess", mind you this is before Magnus blunders.
This kid has no fear 😂
bro talks about retiring when he was born yesterday 💀💀
@@disasterpiece7583it is a very argentine thing to say. We don’t mean it as much. but when you think about it, it is wild
"has no fear"? what?
@KarlaKloppstock he is going into an endgame with Magnus saying that if he loses, he can retire. Have you seen Magnus play endgames?
Chess is a game that puffs people up with arrogance and pride.
I too was messy when I was 10.
:))
(I still am that messy of chess, even over 50.)
But both of you got a blast in the bum when you where 11
Yes, but the video talks about a healthy child, not sick people like you, hahaha.
Call up Ronaldo cause it's about to get messy
Imagine starting chess because of the covid pandemic, and 4/5 years later beating the number 1 in only 38 seconds.
9:32
"Unfortunately for Faustino we'll be expecting great things from him"
lol
I love how Antonio just drops that in. I hope he's watching Searching for Bobby Fischer.
Yep. Trials and tribulations of the chess prodigies.
What more can you expect from him... He already did the impossible
Oh dear. Let ur guard down did you
that kid will in future make controversial statements about tribesman with white hats
What a beautiful game. I learned a lot. Next time when I blunder a knight in the end game I will resigning immediately.
that kid defeated Nakamura in bullet at least twice as well
#suggestion
Nakamura is weak.
@@goshu7009trolls are hungry too
@@goshu7009 lma'fucking'o :DDD i would love to see you beat him then
@@roxydzey Probably i will not :P Not that good. But that does not mean i cannot have an oppinion...

Magnus also had to beat the world champion 20 years ago, when he was a kid. :))))
Now its happening again, but to him.
thats normal things in Chess.
and now Ian Nepo in blitz
@@goshu7009pretty special if u aks me, just as legendary as young magnus fighting kasparov
Hope to see more from this kid in the futurr
Record Fisher. FAUSTINO ORO LEGEND 🙌
Word is Kramnik just booked a ticket to Argentina
Interesting ...
Faustino moved to Spain to play with the goats.
Brilliant and brave play from this young boy!
Which part was brilliant? Seemed like an ordinary game and Magnus had a couple of blunders in time pressure. I don't see a single exceptional move. I see an exceptional young man, of course, but the game is not interesting.
The boy learned the chess moves 3.5 years ago and started out with a blitz rating of 200.
Thanks for the commentary, Agadmator :) Greetings from Argentina
Thanks for yet another excellent video. Always appreciate your commentary. Best wishes from the US!
Thank you for all the great content and analysis !
Faustino says at one point in his funny Argentinian accent: "If I lose this I can retire from chess", hahahaha, LOL
he is actually fron spain if you listen to his accent
You’re right, he doesn’t pronounce the “ll” in “caballo” the way they do in Argentina. And he says “joder”, which is typically Spanish. I wonder where he’s from. He has such a heavy accent, I’m a native Spanish speaker and can barely understand him. Maybe a village in the south?
@@GustavoDiazJerez
True, he has that typical Spain accent....maybe argentine parents living in Spain?
Thank you so much! Long time no see, great game and coverage.
FWIW, reading "...in 38 seconds" and then finding out it's a bullet game makes me feel like I've been clickbaited.
I do feel like it too lol. But he did beat Magnus whatsoever, and Agad did explain the game. I think messy would describe it well.
To be fair, what else could it have been?
Of course it's by far most likely to be bullet, but amazing things happen in this world and the title made me think maybe one had.@@skaarphy5797
Not a lot of bullet games on this channel, but when there are, I think showing clock times would be fun
we cannot say Faustino overwhelmed Magnus. Except for the knight blunder, the match was going to draw. But still excellent game by faustino. I believe it will be feather in magnus cap. This is unlike young magnus vs kasparov
Wasn't a draw young Magnus vs Kasparov?
@@blogattackerthat wasnt acasual bullet game
Lol😂 a lot of Gm never, ever win a one minute game against magnus
Magnus at 9y/o was 2100 and Faustino at 9 y/o was 2300
Great job young man be proud of it. U did something many have failed at . Keep it up great job buddy.
I don’t know if this says more about the kid, Magnus, or the game of bullet.
IT DOESNT SAY ANYTHING......
Lol I love this kid. By like move 20 he's going "well if I lose this I may as well retire from chess" . Then when he wins "Hey I beat the Carlsen, whats up!"
As someone in the early stage of learning chess, this is the first high-level game I've really understood. That boy had the bottom left corner locked up tight and never let go as he sucked Magnus into the trap. Very impressive.
Great.
Thanks.
I lived in Split 3 years ago!!!
This transposed into an Exchange Alekhine defense. It also follows a similar game Wagener vs. Sergeev 2017 where the correct 11. Ne7 instead of 11. Re8 was played. Ne7 allows for the immediate c6 after the imminent Bxf3.
Vamos Argentina carajo!! 🇦🇷 Un nuevo día, una nueva coronación de gloria 👑
❌️ messi
✅️ chessi
I love your honesty.
FAUSTINO DONT PLAY AGAINST KRAMNIK, YOU WILL BE TAG AS CHEATER TOO
He has already played Kramlik it ended in a draw
Its Kramnik, who is the cheater...... we all remember how he went 120 times to the WC on a match, 15 years ago, against Topalov.....
Topalov was leading (10 matches for 10 days) - but since Kramink started to visit the WC about 100 times per day, he started to win.
We all rember this )
Faustino as early today block Kramnik for your sake..
lol
I like the kid: The legend of Faust is that Faust sold his soul to to Mephistopheles (the Devil) for greatness. And 'Oro' is Spanish for "Gold." So this prodigy is literally "The Golden Faust"!
No, it's Faustino Gold. Golden Faustino would be Faustino de Oro.
Stop it egghead
Dr. Faust is not a role model and I don't understand why anyone would want to be like him. He f*cks a 14-year old girl, gets her thrown into prison, ignores her situation, later wants her back, she refuses, gets executed, but redeemed before god.
Nah, you need to check your Spanish, man.
Well, obviously I'm not Spanish, but Faustino = Faust and oro = gold. So his name is either Faust Gold or Gold Faust. Either way, it's a GREAT name!
6:19 is when Faustino said he would retire if he can't win this one. Which is many moves before Magnus blundered. The funny thing is that he was making a funny gallego accent during the whole game. He's a beast!
To add insult to injury, the kid is also a ranked MMA fighter and proceeded to knock Magnus around the room after the match.
He’s also a professional wrestler; after the game, he broke the chessboard over Magnus’s head.
*I love how Magnus resigns. Truly a class act*
Every child is born artist....the challenge is to stay so as you grow old...
Faustino lives across the street from me, congrats!
bully him so he has extra motivation to improve :DDD
You don't see Magnus blundering pieces too often.
When I was 10, I was jumping off the roof of our house with an umbrella pretending it was a parachute. Maybe I should have pursued chess........
Magnus is obviously all around an incredibly consistent player, however, I feel like speed might be the closest thing he has to a weakness. I suspect that Hikaru would wipe the floor with this child.
Hopefully we'll get to see a game between the two.
Even the slightest if distractions can rattle a grandmaster. Chess is about laser beam focus on the board.
I watched the clip from Faustino and when it was over instead of the usual recommendations from UA-cam that show up when a video is done I got a bunch of Sesame Street videos! 🤣
What I wish is how to understand how a 10 year old brain can master such a complex thinking game like chess in only a couple years. It's just baffling when you look at what "normal" 10 year old boys are doing.
Based on their ELO ratings, assuming the ELO ratings are accurate, the probability of Magnus winning is 75%, the probability of a tie is 24% and the probability of Faustino winning is 1%.
No way that's true. People fluctuate 100-150 ratings points very easily. The lower player winning with 300 rating points is not that unusual, the higher rated player still gets at least 1 rating point if they win (15 if they lose) at that range meaning at least 1 in 15 wins. Hikaru routinely loses to people 300 points lower than him - keep in mind 300 points lower than Hikaru is still usually 3000+ blitz.
@@RaniaIsAwesome Sounds like you're going by anecdotal evidence, but elo win rates can be calculated based on how that version of elo. Only thing we don't have (unless they were on lichess) is their rating deviation.
in bullet? there is more variance inherent in bullet, so the same rating gap in bullet doesnt imply the same certainty about the stronger player winning i thought.
There's another element: with how fast a kid learns at that age, the ELO starts to be accurate way later. It will increase and catch up with his actual level but it takes time.
Odds are the kid is an industry plant. Fucking disgusting
This is the first generation of players who have played tens, maybe hundreds of thousands of games before they reached the age of 10. Thanks to the internet
Not the first for sure
@@alphaniemann1649 it 100% is the first. Back in the 2000s and even the early 2010s no child was playing chess online. And even if they did, it was against bots. The online chess world started to grow rapidly in 2018, and only really became popular after Covid. I know this because I was there from day 1. Today, millions of children across the planet are playing against millions of real opponents, whenever they want and wherever they want. This has never been available in any other era in chess history, we are in unprecedented times.
Hace 4 años aprendió el primer movimiento de ajedrez, sorprendente
Cant wait to see the modern day carlsen. Carlsen was carlsen to the likes of bobby tal, all the older heads like kasparov etc. But now we shal see the new generations carlsen. The mind blowing elo rated prodigy capable of making stockfish resign halfways in
Kramnik: Faustino Oro's style of play is very interesting, to say the least. Does it make sense for such a young, inexperienced player to be able to defeat Magnus? Perhaps a thorough investigation should take place regarding these matters...
Most prodigies are spiritually overcloaked. I.e. They have a highly skilled discarnate spirit (wielding a special ability like in Chess from their one Earth life) overcloaking the child's spirit body unknowingly. Even the overcloaking spirit doesn't know they are overcloaking the native spirit-body of the child too bright for them to see. They think they are the new soul for the child.
The kid is a monster .... he is a 10 year old boogie man .... if you check out more games from him ... daaaaaam
bro will become the next Messi of chess
Amazing to play at such a level at this age.
I was an ape at this age in comparison

Faustino will be the youngest GM for sure 😊
This raises the quesion: is Magnus an uncle?
wesley so's uncle by lotis key is bobby fischer. source:

he certainly is old enough to be one, for argument sake
"Someone with 10 years just beat Magnus Carlsen"
"10 years of chess experience?"
"10 years of age"
Messi is the "Faustino Oro of football"
You saying it because of his height?
hard to say that since messi is a goat of his sport. Oro is still starting his career. Sometimes prodigies fail to materialize once they hit 2600. Hopefully, this kid won't.
please show the clock if you're going to feature bullet games; it's very important context, and you even mention the time used in the title
Oro Faustino dubbed the Messi of Chess by the Argentine Press for those that do not know Lionel Messi is a decorated Soccer player that plays for Team Barcelona he’s won many trophies and awards myself I know little about soccer ⚽️ but the analogy being ‘the Greatness’ one a soccer star now this youngster a Chess player
It's "football" for all the world, not soccer. You play it with your feet.
Bullet notoriously favours quick players, especially the young, whose minds are more flexible, agile and instinctual. Playing kids in short time controls is tough.
Impressive, most impressive!
Faustino, the future GOAT.
Its just same story repeating all over again.GOAT of an era being outdone by a 10 yr old
Kid has a bright future 👍🏻
It's great for Oro
What awesome country Argentina is. Tango, football, pope, borges, Meat, Messi, and now faustino oro. I wish to know someday this fantastic land! Kind regards from buenos aires

@@MartinZanichelli what a shame
He maybe has studies Carlsen's blitz game strategies. For example he knew his very first move.
Antonio, you are referring a lot at the moment to 'your uncle' implying an old duffer. I remember as a teenager sitting down opposite the old men with the intention of pushing them off the board. That was the 1960s when clocks were only just coming in at club level. Some of the old men would build a solid position and then sit it out, confident they would be awarded a draw by adjudication. Since those days, time, counted in seconds, has become ever more important. Nevertheless, remembering Victor Korchnoi, I think you might not make the equation of age and weak player quite so frequently. Some of us oldsters still have our moments and some youngsters I would still dismiss as patzers. Thanks as always for your masterful commentaries.
What a blunder! It is hard to imagine that it was really Magnus playing...
Are we sure he was not drunk again ?
And about Faustino, Impressive that he is only 10.
What a great game…

@paulomartins1008 It's definitely not rude.....
Uncle magnus not take these games seriously 😂
#suggestion: How about showing how this game might end!
The youngster is up a Bishop I think what would happen is the youngster would go after Magnus’s h and f pawns to create his own passed pawn the Black king is kind of stuck behind enemy lines as Oro’s pawns and Bishop can stop Magnus’s king from trying to enter Oro’s side of the Board once the youngster was able to create a passed pawn it would be off to the races and he’s up 5 pawns to 4
@@michaelmassaro4375 I agree being up a bishop is a winning position. I’d just like to see it played out, even if it’s a hypothetical end game. Being new at chess, such a video would be educational and helpful.

Oro is very impressive, there is no doubt. But if you're going to throw pieces away in the end game, I can see how Oro won this one. Its more like Magnus lost rather than Oro won. Just my opinion. Great channel, great job by its host. Thank you.
I feel like magnus didn't blunder it, he just didn't want to tie. Seeing as I saw it too, there's just no way magnus missed it.
He's 10. Messi and Maradona wore the number

Faustino "Oro"' really is an omen nomen! (Oro means Gold)
There is some tremendous young talent out there these days. Maybe someday we'll see a modified WC format with Magnus returning to face ... one of the up and comers, of which there seem to be quite a few.
