I'm 24 years old and I somehow ended up in an abusive relationship. Even though I loved him, he was violent and manipulative and my entire life revolved around him. I ended up getting pregnant and he would push me off our bed on to my stomach and I realised that I couldn't do it anymore. The day after my baby was born I left and I came back to my parent's house. I thought my entire life had ended and I couldn't function at all, but I'm 3 and half months down the line and every day gets better. Yes, I have bad days, but keeping busy helps make things so much better.

Thanks for the getting over ur ex one. I recently broke up with my boyfriend who I loved so much, he was my complete world and what I was going through at that time, he helped me so much. Everything was perfect up until a few months ago when we started having communication break downs; he had moved friend groups and it really changed him:( it seemed like he had stopped caring about me. I broke up with him because I knew I had to put myself first, and I couldn’t go on. Unfortunately, it ruined our whole friendship and I haven’t spoken to him since. But hey, life moves on ❤️

And I dont but if I could give my teenager self some advice it would be 1. everything is going to be okay, just make sure you sorround yourself with people that you love, that love you. 2. GO FOR IT!!! Especially if you like someone and youre so in love with them. Just ASK him/her/that special person out! I was just so scared of beeing rejected and Im sure I missed a lot of opportunities when I was younger because of it! The truth is youre going to be rejected in life for sure thats just part of life. But if you just take a chance on it you may end up very happy. Just go for it everyone, I wish you the best of luck

Periods are like the only things I really hate in life. I have endometriosis, and it’s a pain in the ass. I was going to the doctors so many times and they just laughed at me when I said that I had all this pain. Finally I went to a private gynecologist and he suspected endometriosis and we tried a medication but it got sooo much worse that he sent me for surgery, so I had that about 1,5 months after we saw that it didn’t get better, and I was diagnosed with endometriosis. It took me a long time to find a medication that worked, I have some special thing for endometriosis cause the other easier medications didn’t work. I haven’t had my period for like 2-3 years I think. And it’s better now. I don’t know how it is to be pain free so I don’t know if I am, you know? I have nerve pain in my back and stomach so I have some medication for that, it’s like pain relief-thingie that’s in your body for the whole day so I take it ever evening. I have gotten other diagnoses too after this in cause of being in so much pain for so many years, and because of another bad thing in my life. And I get cysts on my ovaries. My point is - people, if you feel like something is wrong with your periods, if you feel like someone is tearing your organs out, like you’re getting stabbed, if you can’t move, if you faint (I became unable to talk to, I wasn’t conscious, I just fell unconscious all the time because of the pain), if you vomit. Anything that make you feel like something isn’t normal - search for help! And don’t give up if they’re not listening, just keep going. It’s YOUR body and YOU know when something’s wrong with it. There is help to get. Just remember that.
And btw, if I would be able to give this video a heart instead of a thumbs up, I would. I love this!!❤️

When Sophie started talking about toxic relationships it had me thinking about how my ex boyfriend treated me versus how my boyfriend treats me. Me ex couldn’t tell when I was comfortable or not and just made every situation awkward. He never facetimed me and he rarely texted me. He at one point said I was a little over weight. We dated for about 4 months and at the 1 month mark I wanted to break up with him but I just didn’t know how. My best friend had never had a boyfriend so she didn’t know what to do either. I decided to just stay with him in hope things would get better... they didn’t. I finally broke up with him a little after 4 months. I will be honest... I only said yes when he asked me out because I felt bad. I have liked this one kid for about 7 years and had finally started talking to him again right before my ex and I started dating. I never lost feeling for the kid that I liked for 7 years. Finally when I broke up with him the boy that I liked for 7 years and I started facetiming every night, texting a lot, and we were pretty close. Finally he asked me out and I was overjoyed. I’m soooo happy I broke up with my ex and now I’m dating him! He treats me sooo well. He gives me his hoodies, kisses me, he can tell whether I’m comfortable or not, he holds my hand in public, and hugs me from behind. There’s nothing more I could want. He’s literally my dream guy and I love him with all my heart!!

I've been on 8 different pills since I was 17. I'm now 22 and finally I've found a pill that helps me and don't make me sad or just indifferent. Pills are hormones, and their aim is to regulate the hormones that your body isn't producing enough or in excess, so it kinda balances your hormone production (which helps your body and your brain to function properly). If you're on a pill that helps you, you'll probably feel better and not depressed. But again, every pill has different effect in each body.... and it should be free so everyone could have access!!!

We just need more people like you. It's so important to talk about stuff like this. And it's so important to love yourself and not be distracted by a "perfect" bodyimage on instagram. Because there's no "perfect" body. Everyone is different and that's fine.
So a massive thank you for talking about topics like that. It's really imoortant. And i hope it makes more people feel better about themselves. Because it made me feel a lot better💕

Hi Soph, I just wanted to say I'm 32 (definitely one of your older fans!) but I watch all your videos and I think it's really amazing you have made this video. When I was growing up, I remember having all these questions but there was no Google to search through or UA-cam to watch and it was a pretty lonely time. I know that as a teenager I would have found this video so reassuring and helpful, you are such a lovely inspirational person for younger people to turn too - I wish more people who had your platform would do videos like this to help younger people and let them know everything is going to be ok! Big love to you x

Hey 😊 i’m not a type of person who writes comments, I’m rather a watcher, but I feel I need to say this: I do believe you’re doing right now a great job 👍🏻. At this moment I am in a happy relationship and really enjoying my life, but I’m 25. As a teenager I was very, very insecure and struggling with massive anxiety. And I think it is super important in such situation to hear it is all ok from someone who had been through the same. Great Job! Love You 😍

I'm just absolutely amazed at how mature your answers are. I'm 10 years older than you, and at your age I wasn't even CLOSE to being so comfortable being my complete self. Only in the past few years did I see the bigger picture on what's important and what's not. I really hope more young people watch this, and take what you say to heart.

This was such a wonderful video, and I so wish UA-cam had been a thing when I was a teenager! I just want to say on the subject of relationships: I didn’t get my first boyfriend until I was 23, and now I am so glad I waited even though I hated it so much when I was younger!
I had a few dates when i was younger but I just didn’t feel strongly enough for the guys, and I didn’t want to be in a relationship just for the sake of it. I actually found it really liberating to stop worrying about it (and bonus did much better in my degree than I would have done if I’d had a boyfriend to distract me!). Once i stopped fixating on not having ever been in a relationship my confidence soared, my happiness being in solitude increased, and all of that led me to an amazing relationship with a great guy now 2 years strong. Like you said Soph, everything happens for a reason!

For me personally the pill drastically changed my mental health... I initially got put on it when I was 15 because I had very bad mood swings and it helped to settle them alot, I continued to take the pill up until the age of 21 and during the time I was on it I would go through very depressive stages, would go crazy over the smallest things etc I came off it and my mental health dropped and got so bad for the first month or 2, but once the hormones were fully out of my system my mental health became so much healthier. I've been off the pill for over a year now and I've had no spells of depression, low moods etc even though I have been through things in the past year that previously would have put me in that frame of mind. Just thought I'd share my story as a different outlook on the whole pill situation, but of course everyone is different 😊

Well said on on the section about sending explicit/nude pictures of yourself .... especially if you’re under age it is illegal
However even if you are older .... late teens early 20s or 30s what ever age .... always remember to respect yourself ..... once you send a picture of yourself.... it can be shared amongst many and also among not so caring people ... once you send a picture you can never get it back.... no one should ever ask you to do such a thing ...
a true friend will never ask you to do anything that is morally wrong or anything to make you fell uncomfortable.... like smoking ... stealing for a dare ...
    look after yourself ❤️

If you go to the doctors for mental health they will be so nice about it and try so many methods and see whether it's sleep, stress or things like that they'll try and find courses to help and there's websites to look at like moodjuice. If you go on medication for anxiety or depression like I am please make sure your doctors checks up on you every two weeks for first month or two and bring a family member if you're comfortable so they can tell the doctor if they notice a difference and it makes your life so much easier. Medication is a step to being less irritated and sad not a solution and you will. Move past this negative phase in your life ❤️

You’re so lucky your doctor helped you. I began my journey with depression and anxiety at 13. I kept it to myself for a long time until i was 16, and it all came out. I went to two different doctors and told them what I was going through. The response I got was “if you want to experiment with drugs, this is how you inject them blah .....” i hadn’t even mentioned anything to do with drugs and wasn’t taken seriously. I was refused any medication (despite being ready to take my own life) i’m 19 now, still struggling and being refused help. I’m grateful for my counsellor, without her I definitely wouldn’t be here,

I'm in my 30s but just wanted to say there is so much great advice in this video. Also it's strange to look back on these issues, some of which I really worried about when I was a younger and most of which don't worry me now. I'm not trying to be a patronising old person, just know that a lot of things that are really stressful in your teens get so much better or stop mattering to you at all when you're older. I was miserable as a teenager and I'm really happy with my life now.

My periods were exactly like that Sophie!! It was the worst, every month knowing it would happen 😓 Expecting to throw up, feel faint, the excruciating cramps, not being comfortable in any position... (and the list goes on) 😭🤮😖 And regular over the counter painkillers not doing anything! Never been told about contractions or anything... but yes the pill was a lifesaver! Started with prescription pain killers, which worked well, but overtime I became allergic to ibuprofen. So moved on to the pill for those reasons. Recently changed pill due to weight gain, and so far the one period I have had (only on month number 2) was not the most pleasant thing, but nowhere near as bad as what it used to be! It's nice to hear someone else who went through the same period problems! ❤

I’ve only been on the pill twice, the first time it made me cry all the time for no reason so I come off it. The second time was much worse, I become so depressed and felt horrendous and realised that the pill was the reason. Its crazy that most GPs don’t discuss the mental health side affects of the pill.

Periods honestly diff each individual. I started at 9 my mum started at 17! My dad was the first person I told because I was on holiday with him, so so embarrassed, I just blurted it out and then cried 😳 😂
but honestly he was amazing with me and got me through my first time! ❤️ But one tip I would say is make a starter pack for yourself... Sanitary towels/tampons, wipes, spare knickers, painkillers (if you older enough) and hot water bottle and of course chocolate :) x

I went on the pill at 15 because my cramps were so bad I would vomit consistently for 3 days 😭 if people cant go on the pill things like voltaren tablets work pretty well or in Australia we can get something called naprogesic which is basically a mild muscle relaxant, works wonders since cramps are basically muscle spasms! Voltaren does the same, and most countries probably have something similar
