They are great teachers! They explained these complicated techniques in a very simple way. I would definitely take private lessons with them if they come to Vancouver Canada
Hi I was wondering if you could do a video explaining how to properly drive. I'm just about to go into bronze and that is something I know I'll need to practice a lot in order to do well. Thanks!
Yes, if you follow the link in the bio to the Line Moves glossary, we will make a tutorial for every single step in that glossary. If you don't see the tutorial on our channel, it means we just haven't gotten to it yet. But we will, indeed, do the entire lunge family!
Awesome video with great details.. Question, Kora started talking about feeling the lead for the oversway vs a throwaway oversway or a left whisk. How would a lead for a hinge line feel from the promenade sway position or for Simeon, how would you lead a follower into a hinge line?
Hi Daniel, thanks for your question! That's definitely a good one. The lead for a hinge line is the same, in terms of rise & fall, sway, and rotation, as a left whisk. Those are the planes of motion that turn the lady into counter promenade and place her on her left foot in a whisk position. However, the timing would be different. Because the man does not cross his foot behind in the hinge like he does in the left whisk, he cannot send the lady into the whisk position with so much force. Therefore, the timing of the entrance into the hinge should be slower, allowing the man to place the lady into a left whisk position and lower gradually so that both partners can their free legs. This will be described more in depth in our video about the hinge line! Hope this helps!
SK Dancesport that is a great question. I think it was how you provided the details. It is consistent with how you sound on your videos. I automatically thought it was you. Thanks again for replying and providing the explanation. It helps to improve my leading. Keep creating the videos they are extremely helpful. The lines you and Simeon create are spectacular.
