Throb ate this up idc, their look was sO underrated for me. In a challenge where the concept got lost on a lot of people, Throb has a clear storyline, a kickass actual outfit, and some filth tricks that were fr gross. My personal top favorite look, and they literally did the man door hand hook car door meme!
Nio and Orkgottik's outfits were huge standouts. Anna's look really served me horror. It was actually kind of scary while being very polished & gorgeous. So many strong contenders this season! Even the looks that weren't as translatable to the prompt were awesome. Dragula Season 5 lets gooooo!!!!! 👹
Niohuru did NOT come to play! Her look was everythingggg! Also, love Orgotik 🤍🤍 my personality fav is for sure Cynthia Doll. I LIVEEE for her confessionals!

Anna’s look is severely underrated, it was so polished and really served me terror in the woods and the concept was clear, Nio absolutely demolished this theme and I can tell she’s gonna bring some AMAZING floor shows
Niohuru’s look is phenomenal. She deserved the win hands down. It’s a gorgeous mix of glamor, horror and fantasy. I can’t wait to see what other looks she brings. Edit: I am also sorta surprised that Onyx got bottom placement and Blackberri got top.. Like I totally though Onyx was giving us witch living in the woods, Hansel/Gretel or The Witch sorta thing. I thought it was pretty on theme. That’s just me though. I was not a fan of the marshmallow looks, they could have been executed better imo. Edit2: I am loving the music for the floorshows this season so much. I literally just like listening to them, hopefully they come out on streaming when the season is over like Titans and Season 4
@@merlinho0t The only woodsy thing I got from her outfit was the wig and that's because of what she had in it. Otherwise, I think it was too clean and not an established look for the theme.
There's something I just love about Jay Kay, I don't care what anyone says. There's just something about their look that I really enjoyed, the concept was INSANE but it was truly so fun. The effects needed more polishing, but they are an amazing artist no doubt
I know people complained a lot about it being too dark to see the runways but I wish they still had fog at least because some of the runways like niohuru’s were clearly made with that in mind and felt less scary since they just walked out with no reveal
I miss the old stage fr, the lighting and smoke made the looks feel so much more immersive. They could’ve just brightened it up for us at some parts. Now it looks like the drag race stage 😭

This cast is incredibly talented. Was thrilled to see Orkgotik maintain the level of artistry I expected from the promo/trailer. So chilling so twisted

I didn’t like Cynthia’s promo look, but after this episode I’m a huge Cynthia stan, she’s amazing. I loved Niohuru’s look, it looks like it was from Inuyasha, maybe Naraku’s wife. And I hated Throb’s look, but in a good way.. this cast is amazing. I’m loving it so far. And the lighting now??? Come on budget. Now we can appreciate the looks and I love the 360. Bravo Bouletsss!!!
You know the boulet brothers put a lot efforts into these stages and floorshows where they show and taught these contestants where to walk and when to look at the cameras with spinning stage for more showcase before they hit the show, that's why they are the best!
Nio, Throb, Ork and Fantasia killed this. I also enjoyed blackberris commitment and energy. That was a hell of a performance. Wasnt my favorite look but she sold it
Ok, credit to the editors for listening to feedback and slowing down on the jump cuts at the beginning. The audience gets the time to visually parse what is going on with the looks before we get the exciting jump cuts and reveals. Really nicely done. Keep up the good work
I lowkey wish they would go back to the on-location shoots for the floor shows that were in resurrection and season 2. I felt like it really helped elevate the contestants’ looks and sell their stories even more

Niohuru's Huli Jing was AMAZING! Her and Orkgotik were definitely the standouts for me, but I also LOVED Anna's look (I couldn't even recognize her, so good). Satanna's look was actually good, it jist fell short of the "terror" in the woods. A good example of a fairy look that was both glamorous and horrifying was Chastity Kase's fairy look from RPDR UK Season 3 (that is one RPDR Queen I am hoping comes to Dragula when their contract is up). Overall, everyone was well put together (except Jay Kay, sorry bout it). Such a diverse, talented cast! ❤
His look was great, but I don't think it really matched the theme tbh. Even if there was a Bible included, I don't think it would've connected that well with the terror in the woods theme
@@PaigeDWinter It kind of make sense to me because those were both puritanical groups who committed violence and genocide in the name of holiness, in North and South America respectively. I know he said his concept was puritanical beliefs still plaguing America today, so maybe that was the idea behind combing the aesthetics, there’s a sort of through line between those groups & modern day fascists + evangelical conservatives. That’s maybe a bit deep for the theme horror in the woods but hey why not, murderous pilgrim ghost raiding a summer camp in the woods as a metaphor for societal ills, checks out to me, I’d watch that slasher film

I think you may be right! I also think maybe Jay Kay having the same concept and taking it so far in the comedy, kooky direction boded well for Blackberri. The black necklace and white boots bugged the heck out of me for some reason though lol. I think that may be a “Me” issue though.

Nio hands down the best of course, I am so excited to see more of her! I know Satannas look fell flat a bit with judges but I really enjoyed her Evil Fairy look. Very much Final Fantasy 14 Shadowbringers and the fairies that would cause mischief. And of course the evil and gorgeous Titania from the series!

In that regard, Onyx looked more on theme, despite her terrible response about what she was. Blackberri's high placement shocked me, I was sure she was the worst alongside Satanna. I thought Jay Kay's high energy deliverance could have saved her. I mean, there are a lot of parts of the perfomance we did not see; maybe in person things feels very different.

Theres some sort of creepiness to Orkgottik's clean look. It's borderline sci-fi with the hint of Human Centipede. Just fabulous.
Throb was it for me. Giving filth on the first floor show was a great intro to them. Neo was awesome and excited to see more into the mind of orkgotik
