Thank you for tagging that shark!! It's so important that we take care of sharks in waters all around the world. I caught my first shark on the beach in Port Aransas, Texas when I was 9 or 10 years old. I was fishing between the second and third sand bar and it hit hard. It was a small shark maybe 20 inches long and it was to me a fascinating animal. Most of my fishing buddies don't like landing sharks because we're going for specific species that we like to eat. But I always enjoy being able to see these sharks and I've never kept one.
I remember landing my first shark, a small sand shark, it was only 35 or so centimeters long (off the coast of Florida), but I agree with you. We truly do need to take care and preserve these wonderful animals.

I have only had small ones tail walk like that. This really surprised me.
Not surprised bud. 20 odd pound of Barra bouncing around on the end of the rod would get my pulse going. Kudos to you John for getting in the water with it and showing your lad not to be afraid. They've got some bloody teeth though!! 🤣🤣🤣
Fantastic! Already planning my brothers Florida trip for his birthday next year!
Awesome. I hope you have good weather. 😊👍🏻
Stunning , looks like you're having fun.
We had an amazing time. 😊👍🏻
Great footage john, well done!
Thank you. 😊
Fantastic what an experience.
Loved every minute!!!
What a cute little blacktip!
Would still take a finger off 100%
Another outstanding video my friend
Gotta go off to Cornwall for a month
I hope you have good weather. 😊👍🏻
Hi there, I was worried when things got a bit slippery on that rock in the water. I think that you need a nice pair of supportive water sandals with a nice tread. I would hate to see you fall and get injured.😳😳😳. BTW, the barracuda had some gnarly teeth😵. I am glad that you were able to release it successfully. Enjoy the rest of your trip with family! 🐟🐠🐟🐠😁
Thank you. Yes a good old pair of jelly bean sandals would have done the trick!! 🤣👍🏻
A buddy of mine has a home in KW, they love that size Nurse Shark for eating..
I need a friend with a house in the keys. 😉🤣
Nice fish ! All the best to the Lockers on vacation.
Thanks Matty. 😊👍🏻
@@TheFishLocker ... more tight lines there in the Keys !
