  • I will show you how to replace the mechanism and hands on your clock. If you love your clock but it no longer works, you can purchase a new motor and hands. The only tools you need for this task are a couple of screw drivers and your bare hands.

Thanks for getting all the helpful steps in there. The three videos I watched before yours were not thorough enough!

I wasn’t your target audience, but thank you for this video! I am removing the clock hands so I can paint a custom back as a gift for a friend, and this was the first video that got me to successfully removing the minute hand!

Nice video, thanks. I worked out that if the hands are a bit stiff you can use the tip of a small pair of scissors to lever the hands off evenly.

Great tip thanks. I suppose thin needle nose pliers would also be effective as well giving it an even slide upwards. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe

If anyone can assist, please help. I cannot lift off the hands from my clock. It has only the hour and minute hands, and there is a pin/cap on top. I pulled one of the hands and now it is loose, but the other one is firmly in place and just rotates when I try to remove this cap. I need to replace the whole mechanism, but I am stuck!

Wondering if when you put the hands and second hand back on...should not they all be set at noon - straight up so when you adjust the time everything is calibrated?

Yes that would be a more precise way of doing it. Thanks for the tip. Please like and subscribe

Pls expound, how to tight minute hand?

You don’t tighten the hands. They just push on. If they are loose then you need a new set of hands

Could use dental floss to remove hands.

I suppose you could but that seems awkward. I prefer a screwdriver but if that works for you. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe
