My mom recently passed and my daughter found a heart shaped clock she wanted to keep that belonged to grandma. The clock does not work so I told her I would replace the mechanism. I have no idea what I am doing. Your video was the best I found for easy, to the point explanation. Thank you. I now have to find the actual mechanism to fit.
I am so grateful for this. I accidentally broke a clock of my mother’s that is very similar looking to this one. The clock isn’t anything fancy, but she’s had it longer than she’s had me. The sad look on her face was enough to motivate me to try to have it repaired. Rather than be laughed out of a grandfather clock repair store or risk further damaging the clock. Your video was the perfect remedy. The clock is now back on the wall, with a new movement piece and the original hands. Thank you so much. ❤️🙏🏻
As per your suggestions I have disasembled my clock successfully! I have now ordered a replacement part and am eager to have my lovely clock working again. Nothing against digital but I love my old clocks
Very clear instructions to follow. Clear video. Really helped me get to understand what I was getting into. Thank you!! I am just learning to replace the quartz movement and the hands of 2 different cheap clocks. So good to see them functioning again. My father gave me several big wall clocks I would love to get working again. Practice!!
I have a vintage 'julianna ' quartz matel clock one that has hanging pendalum which I purchased knowing it needed new mechanism. I've manage to remove the old mechanism, but can't get to the hands, I've checked all over and do t want to break it, hope you can advice, thank you
Very nice video EXCEPT there is NO link to replacement kit on Amazon, and several comments below ask specifically for same. Additionally one viewer notes that the kits s/he has ordered are cheap and virtually useless.
4:18 Alright, not complicated, I know. I’ve gone through this several times over the last 6 months. Reassembly is not at issue. What IS, is the quality of these cheap garbage clockworks boxes. Oh, “High-Torque Quartz Crystal Movement”, you say? My rear end they are. Not one of the FOUR that I have purchased from 3 different Amazon “companies” at anywhere between $9 and $26 lasted more than a week!!! It’s all cheap Chinese crap!
Awesome information! If you’re still around - could you please tell me how you removed the material from the back of the clock where the mechanism actually sits? Thank you so much!

I am in southern Spain making my first olive wood clock. Your video really helped me, very well explained and clear. Thank you, you’re brilliant.

This video helped me immensely, thank you!
Just got the delivery of my new clock mechanism. Your video was a great help!
Thank you for the demonstration.
Can an old grandfather clock mechanism be replaced with a battery mechanism. Not needing the pendulums to work.

I don’t understand why you didn’t adjust the two hands + the sweep (seconds) when first positioning them? and before inserting the battery?
