Having recently returned from Alaska cruise, we found excursions to be expensive while the towns were interesting and beautiful. Nevertheless, we were overwhelmed by the number of shops selling t shirts, hats, and jewelery. We only went on one excursions, a whale watching trip that underwhelmed! The cruise ship, the staff and facilities were fantastic. Choose your excursions carefully and book early.
I can't wait to visit Ketchikan! My first Alaskan cruise excursion!
