*Didn't expect this reaction. Thoughts?*
This is slick. I love the drastic change from that deep purple-y red to the green. It's like it's a completely different color at a different angle and I think that's awesome. 5/5
5 Beetlejuice Beetlejuice! 🖤🤍🖤🤍
Greens, browns, and maroons. Also metallic.
Kinda reminds of me of my father's 1980 'maroon metallic' Corvette.
This is why I keep coming here every week!
5/5
I was not expecting the candy concentrate to change the hypershift that drastically. Holy moly...8/5!
Also, this seems to be an almost black base specific blend. None of the other colors really seemed to work with it as well as black, and I'm usually a huge fan of the anthracite base color.
5 out of 5... That's pretty sick!
See this mix over lots of base colors at the end. Which do you like best?
Red, anthracite, and aluminum
Stick with the black base, though Anthracite is good too.
Black
I actually thought that the Teal base gave a very unique look to it. I might like to see that on a larger scale as the effect was pretty cool with the purple mixing in and showing itself in kind of a flake effect. Of course, anthracite pops, but that is to be expected.
Red, Anthracite, and Teal were my favorites besides the black base. It seems like basically everything looks amazing over anthracite from these videos lol.
Best part of these is the excellent relationship between you and Gabe.
It's like a 3 second interaction each video.
Black was the right choice. Looks like the pigment clumped up/gave a bit of a sparkle this week
Definitely. None of the other undercoats showed the spectacular shifts that you got over the black. I rather liked the violet tone that it gave over the white, but if you just want a violet pearl I’m sure you could get it by other means, it would be a waste of the hypershift.
That is a keeper. I love the purple to green color shifting that happens. Definitely a 5.
I see it go from black to purple to green and gold! With that crazy metallic sparkle!
When it’s coming up behind you it’s green. When it drives past you, it’s pink and gold. When it’s in front of you, it’s brownish pink! Insane!
Sounds like a great getaway car. Sir which color had the perpetrators car?
Honestly the effect is quite cool. 5/5
Defenatly a 5. That is how i see cars when i had a spacecake and a few licks of LSD. That constant shifting was awesome. The antracite base was my favourite, under some lightchanges a nice purple came up.
Oh, the white one is a gorgeous shade of lavender. Nice job, guys.
100% agree, most of the colors don't show well on a white base, but this one looks really pretty over the white base, I'd like to see it on a car
Wow... this is a solid 4/5 for me. Very cool - it was giving me "Halloween Witch's Brew" vibes when you were mixing it up (name: Witch's Brew?), and even more so after you sprayed it on; I love how its vivid and sparkly-ish, yet somehow still muted enough to be kinda low-key - classy not flashy! Its totally on point for the upcoming Fall equinox on Sunday so... I like it a lot!
Love the result. 5/5. Also, I'll bet that workbench weighs 3.7 tons with all that dip on it.
This looks amazing! On red and to a lesser degree teal it almost turns into a bass boat sparkle effect
I don’t think I’ve ever been this excited by the initial mix. That could be spectacular. Haven’t seen the end yet, so I could be disappointed, but we’ll see -
One of the most shifting shifts I’ve seen. Definitely an “oh, wow.” I probably wouldn’t put in on my own car, but definitely a head-turner.
Possible to do a camo themed car with multiple different hypershifts? 🤔 🤔 🤔
It would be similar to the harlequin car they did
Harlequin car but with different shifts rather than different base coats?
@@tatemd1 same base coat, just 4-5 different hypershifts
@Bklynstyle718 the problem I'd see is if its going to be a sharp end or a fade between the colors
can be done, a few customers have done this in the past. It just takes time to mask everything off.
Is there any color you don't see with this creation? I can't think of one. Dark burgundy, root beer, black, blue, green, red, orange, the entire rainbow, or perhaps an entire box of 120 Count Crayola Crayons! Black and Anthracite seem to be the only 2 bases that let the mix work its true magic.
would really love to see your most _orangey bronze metallic base_ with a couple few coats of _pink candy_ mixed with some shift that doesn’t go to green… think it’d be hot
That looks fabulous on the red base!!!
oh my! As a fan of metal flake, I don't think this project could have turned out better! The hue on the green side of the shift is perfect!
Violet to green to gold. 5. The dark bases were really favorable. Red was my most favorite. Took me back to the 60s. And yes, I was under the influence. thank for the blast.
Duuuuude! That combo is Gorgeous!!! This has to be one of THE Best experiments you've done yet! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I know that the gritty look on a lot of the other colors is unintentional, and mostly undesirable, but I love what it did on that concord purple base, turned it into this regal purple with gold grit, looked surprisingly nice. Flex Blue saw similar results, but it didn't eat as much of the color shift so it looked less distinctly gold.
WOW !that is the greatest thing. did not think the candy would work. you folks need to do more candies.
Over Red base looks very lovely would love to see that full scaled. Aluminum and anthracite look promising as well.
That color on the red speed shape was killer !
Voodoo level shift. Awesome!
This is fire, give it a prefect 5.🔥🔥, the white base make it feel like a ghost effect.
5 - it's like metal itself is changing colours. Cool deepness & structure effect.
Love it! ❤
WOW! Absolutely amazing gorgeous paint job. The way it changes from the deep rose purple to the brassy olive green is mind blowing 😮. It looks good on the anthracite base but it was best on black base. 5/5
Best one for a white base coat so far - love that lilac colour…..
Right on. This is the kind of result I watch this channel for. Well done.
5 I love the greens, pinks, yellows, bronze, and almost brown. It's really beautiful.
I give it a 4.4 and call it GRAPE-ALL as it goes from Green Grape to Purple Grape, with that flash of gold in between. Lovin' it!
Fascinating. I'd call this "Voodoo Wizard"
Did not expect the flake to be so emphasized relative to just the pearl by itself.
That anthracite and aluminum base were amazing..."it's always anthracite " 😂
I’m floored. I had to keep reminding myself that I was looking at the same car throughout. 4.75 out of 5 (because nothing will EVER beat that hypershift-over-Musou black).
The teal base is pretty.
The purple base is astonishing.
Anthracite and white bases are interesting.
5/5 for sure, all three colors pop equally and black base is best, stunning… keep up Fonzi and Gabe..
It's crazy how black is the only base color that truly showed the violet candy. The gray did a little and obviously the white, but I expected there to be more reddish tint, except for the red, on the test pieces.
That was wild! I figured the candy would just limit the interference spectrum into the red/blue/purple range. Not the end result. The flake effect is nice and the color shift everywhere is so unexpected, going from coppery to hard green to magentas and purple, with flares of yellow and orange. Definitely not a predictable effect. Makes you wonder what other hypershifts and other candies will do together, especially if they do have a corresponding color. TBH, I liked the spray on the aluminum and white even better than on the other bases. The aluminum picked up the purple of the candy and the white made it look like it had a hint of lavender and a beautiful almost gold fleck to it. 5/5 for creativity!
Just love how the car goes from black to green. 🤯
I always like the mixing music you folks use. I've commented several times that I am not a big Purple fan. That said, this turned out awesome! Purple, deep pink to a sudden green, gold. All with a metallic flake (my fav effect). Just breathtaking! I'd do this to my Challenger.
What happens is, the flake effect is already there, it's how the shifting paint works, you just usually don't see it because it's refracting a color at your retinas. So what you're seeing is elimination of part of the spectrum by filtering on the complementary color. The violet candy suppresses the yellow that would have been between green and orange, so that side of the prism shows as uncolored, making the flake visible.
Definitely a sexy color shift. From a pinkish purple to green and bronze. It’s a 5+!
I did not expect it to look like that. It was like the car was going through a lot of different emotions. Black was a great choice. I loved it.
Beautiful mix. Love the color
Talk about a chameleon omg that changed between Green, Bronze, Purple, Pink, and even some in-between colors that is awesome, at some angles you can even see the black base coming through all those shifting colors.
I love the look. The color shift seems more visible.
Stunning 5/5. Love the green/gold verse the pink to plum
I knew it was going to be really sparkly when you were mixing it, because it was pixelating on my screen. Don't love it up close, but from a distance, wow! Other than blue, it's got the whole rainbow!
Wow. I am generally not a big fan of pink-gold-green interference pearls, but damn… the candy turned this into a 5 out of 5 for me. Home run!
Love the Purple. If it changed to Black, instead of green, I'd be all in!
This experiment would be cool to spray on the models with various levels of candy mix. Meaning- one model with just hyper-shift, one with small amount of candy, then medium candy and high candy. The result of this one was not expected at all!❤😮
I loved it on the white base. So pretty.
oh man, that is beautiful!! the shift really seems to pop, it's not subtle at all and i love the sparkle too.
Man, the samples at the end, allthe speed shapes! What a win!
There you go, now you're talking. That is what I like to see. Not interference pearl that I can barely see. Love it
Wow!! That's an amazing combo. I didn't expect that at all... top rated for sure! Good going.
The Hulk and an octopus had a beautiful baby! 4.5
Very versatile. Looks good on red, teal, blue and aluminum.
A "hulktopus"
That is such a dramatic colour change and so bold in each phase of the colour and it is a nice sparkle
Usually anthracite always brings out the best colour but not this time 😍😍👍🇦🇺
Really should have measured out that purple. This would have been a great kit to put together. Looks amazing!!!
Plum to gold to emerald...
This is freakin fantastic. I love it! 👌
5 I love it. I was really hoping the green would show up.
To help show off the speed shapes at the end a tiny bit better you could keep a speed shape of the original base color in the background of each variant to show how much they change.
I like the teal base effect... it made me think how a base two tone car would look with this sprayed over it.
There are done angles which I don't really care for... Kind of looks like a sparkly mud. Then there are others which are just fabulous! I have to give it a 5/5 because it's so unique.
Loved the white base!!
i love the effect, especially on the teal base!
Wow! That is a stunner of a mix - love it!!
Over the Black base so cool 5/5, Anthracite and Aluminium also cool.
Purple is not my favorite color. But this is impressive. I ❤❤❤ that you are pushing the envelope with these experiments. Definitely a “WITCHES BREW” vibe!
Now that’s a Poison Ivy. Looks amazing. Definitely a 5.
Holy crap, that is gonna break some necks! What a wild combo, well done.
Yep. 5 for sure. That's the good stuff. Freaking awesome. ❤
I recon this has to be the best shift I’ve seen. You get the top score 5/5. Job well done.
Crazy, mental, I love it. This one's amazing. Not too shabby for an experiment. Keep them coming!
WOW.........that is so cool with the fake flake effect.........Well done guys! Thank you for sharing
I'm amazed. It really needs a couple coats of high solids clear.
It's pretty cool on the white one for a change.. and I think the anthracite must be magical... everything looks good on it.
That effect is nuts. 5 out of 5. Absolutely amazing!.
I would love to see you guys attempt to recreate nail polishes. The more shifty, flaky, holo, etc projects you guys do the more I feel it
That's the sickest hyper shift I've ever seen
Insanely depth! Love it
I loved this, almost a chameleon effect. Great job!😊
That is wild! Its almost like a doppler shift. The car is pulling up to you and you think its green, then as its beside you its gold, then its purple when its pastm absolutely wild! 5/5. the anthracite was almost muted today. I was surprised. I found it interesting what it did to the white. that was quite pretty.
WOW!!! 37 (what's with 1-5?) and some of the colors are not normally my favorites!!! You can see the flake-like effect so clearly! WOW (redundant, but necessary).
When showing pearls, tap your finger on the black stick of truth to show a difference on black by itself.
I think it would be cool to see a series where you take some of your performance series colors and mix in Black Betty pearls. It would be kind of the opposite of the old series you did mixing color pearls into shadow black. It could give some neat darker shades of your performance colors!
Ooh very nice. It seems more red than violet and I personally prefer more of a violet but the effect is still really pretty
4 outta 5. I like the shift aspect, and a black base was definitely the way to go, but I'm not a fan of particle size of the flake. Great vid as always, can't wait for the next.
I would love to see a comparison between a candy mixed with HyperShift and a candy applied over the same HyperShift in separate layers
@dipyourcar this looks so much like the original Mustang Cobra Mystic paint in 1996 (not 2004 Mystichrome). And it just happened to be on a Mustang. Brilliant!
It's like the candy dried faster and pulled the powder in but not enough to make it look clumpy. Super cool color combo 5/5 the shift is really odd and great
Really classy on the black particularly. She's a winner! 5
Ohhh, yeah ! The color changes while you were mixing it up made me think that I did too much antacid in the 70's !
Purple to green with just a hint of gold-bronze... Fellas, you've made a Mardi Gras mobile. 4/5 for my tastes but definitely very nice
beautiful ! Always love me some candies
You know I would try 2 speed shapes. One with the candy over the black base, then spray the hypershift over to see how that effects it. The second I would do the opposite with the hypershift laid down first, then the candy on top. Pigment loads would obviously make huge differences but it would be interesting to see what would happen
WOW! Love this. 5/5 Like it on the white base.
When flips first came out on cars, talking standox/Dupont days this was one of the original colours 😂
What colour is that car? ALL of them! And I'm in love with every single one!
One problem with a distinctly sparkly cover like this is that it depends on you being able to stand back to get the whole effect. Which is not an option for the sample base colours at the end.
Ok, 2 things…1, my wife wants to know “Who is that, and what have you done with *we can always add more” Gabe? And 2 that color is GORGEOUS. 4.5 out of 5.
There is something about Anthracite that makes every one of these look amazing.
Wow. The colour really shifts, Purple, Red, Copper Brown, Green
This got probably the closest I have seen to a true holographic. Not the silver with rainbow colors and large flakes that people use to mimic a holographic, this is almost ths true thing. Very nice.
