Stevie is bang on, it’s an integrity issue. If they made equal mistakes for either team I’d say incompetence but they never do, all big calls and mistakes go against Rangers in these games, there’s a pattern.
Why are you both going against Stevie's integrity comment. With the tech that's available, there's no room for incompetence from the VAR staff. Stevie is accurate in his judgement call regarding the integrity question.
I think as much as it is right to call out dodgy officiating, the main focus should be that we have quite a few young players that will keep improving and we pushed an inform Celtic all the way and the teams were separated by one penalty. We also with better decision making again could have put the game to bed earlier. We have to work on reducing their possession, as without the ball they can't do the same and we need to tighten in defense at CB. The play has been better the last 4 games, progress is happening. Let's see how the season goes and what sort of shape we are in for a title challenge come the summer. Clement has shown evidence there is progress worth backing and staying with for me. We can't measure anymore by the yardstick of managers who had a lot more to spend. Buying young and building them takes time, but if we encourage and back them our fortunes will change faster. The expecation for me is to eat into the points now league wise and see how close we can get.
Hi Derek when you post a video can you turn up the volume ta. Clamont team is almost the same team he has played all season the difference was he was playing players in there right positions. But really have to ask what was dessers on for? Played piggy in the middle made one tackle and no spot kick. The team played immense pity about var and pens. Great show glad Stevie was on 👍🏻
We conceded three goals, bottled a 4v1 and our striker couldn’t take a penalty in the shootout. I’m not having that we were robbed by a poor penalty decision.
If someone like me can track back and say PC is now showing us a team in progress, and therefore deserves more time, considering how off the train I was, I'd say its fair to say hes turned a corner. Its only 3 or 4 games weve seen evidence of progress, but its enough to allow him more time. The game ar Ibrox is really make or break though. Its not about the league, its simply about progress right now, and that will be the acid test. Lets see how it goes, hes going to be around for it anyway so lets see.
Josh, the incident doesnt have to be ,’over the line’ it doesnt have to be obvious, why ,when that foul was given wasn’t it checked, we must need this clarified by those in charge, at the moment the integrity is in question.
Everyone else has said it guys, it's absolutely an integrity issue. Clement based on his previous comments should resign today because its clear the game is bent here. We have a wealth of evidence from pretty much every old firm game from the last couple of seasons to prove it.
I know you lads do not want to say it but I will. There has been an agenda with referees in old firm games. Their decisions or lack of them always falls aga❤instvRangers.
Too much history against Rangers for it to be incompetence. Only one Club is perpetually affected. That’s not incompetence. That is deliberate. They are cheating.
Rangers played very well and took the Champions by surprise. They could have won it with a bit more final decision making...but not to be. Celtic are a better team and certainly more street wise and experienced...and this took them through. Rangers supporters desert the team when they do not win...and there;s something wrong with this mentality for sure. Tuesday night should be another realisation of 'who's who.'
Incompetence my arse it’s always against rangers. the fact they have Var to rectify these mistakes and don’t is mindblowing. Always on the wrong end of these decisions time and time again
It was a pen. The only way the ref and var team can get away with this one is if Beaton blew his whistle for anothe foul before the shirt pull. FYI on the line is in the box
Your fear of losing credibility by mentioning the lack of integrity from officials in Scotland is the problem. How many cases are going to favour Celtic in these tight games before the potential of corruption is allowed to be discussed? There is not 1 contentious decision that has went against Celtic in these fixtures or in other fixtures for that matter (the Hatate tackle a few weeks back springs to mind).
Diomande tripped & Cerny held in the box. RFC denied justice twice. CFC never suffer such misfortune when Connor officiates. That is an integrity issue. Not luck.
If we had a clinical striker we'd have been talking about 2 good wins against spurs n celtic, unfortunately that's the main difference between rangers and the next level coz we're outplaying them but not putting the chances away.
Al add context, if we score the second one most good striker's would bury then celtic have to throw players forward and we would have won easy yesterday and against spurs, we are creating the chances to beat these teams easily it's just getting that prolific striker that can get the second goal and open open the teams up. I thought the league was over but its game on now, we were cruising in the league this time last year and look what happened so I expect celtic to get worse and rangers to get better. 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
So everytime we do well against a top team it's because they didn't turn up ? Have a day off man. WE MADE spurs and celtic look beatable just unfortunate we don't have composure or we would have won both matches.
A much improved performance against Celtic, but undone by the usual mistakes. None of Celtics goals were worldies, they were all down to mistakes by us.
Don’t agree with the must win in Jan to save his job. Don’t think we gain anything by changing manager mid season. This narrative on 7 games without a win is unfair given he took over a team that we all knew was not good enough and had to start from scratch at the start of the season with not much money to spend.
With all due respect to Derek & Joshua, it is not, and cannot be, the 'incompetence' of paid/trained/professionals (loosely termed), if the average football fans Granny would call a penalty every time, let alone professional refs saying it's blatant. I do realise you must be careful with what you say and or imply, as you need to maintain a good professional working relationship (being media etc,) with the official bodies and clubs. But I'm 100% with Stevie on this one because I thought the same myself. If they have a history of said incompetence, and against us in particular, then there are no coincidences. Integrity, in their/any position, is symbiotic with knowing and adhering to the rules that you signed up for and agreed to.
Gutsy overall performance but in the cold light of day all the same old mistakes and lack of effort by the same old players cost us yesterday. The decision making in the final third was disastrous, set pieces were atrocious, Diomande didn’t put his body on the line for their third and instead sat down and watched them take a free shot at goal and Tavernier was terrible all game yesterday - Slack passing all game and everyone going on about Raskin’s involvement in their 2nd goal but that’s hidden the fact that Tavernier just stopped, allowed Maeda to run-off him on to the slack pass and never bothered or burst his arse to track him - just jogged back with zero-urgency as usual! Dessers also offered nothing when he came on - typical from these guys! Great effort but no corners have been turned I’m afraid.
Its not integrity? Cmon to fk guys, its only us that this happens to in these games against them. This took them ahead on trophies so there was no chance we were getting anything from the officials.
Sorry Derek it is an integrity issue. As Stevie says I've lost track of old firm games when Walsh Clancy and all the other Celtic supporting officials have blatantly helped Celtic over the line. And this will continue under the stewardship of Willie Colum another member of the anti Rangers brigade. The trouble is we don't shout long and hard about it as Celtic do until something's done about it.
Personally for me Robin Propper is not good enough for us. He’s an okay defender but he’s got 0 pace or athleticism at all, that bit in the first half where he got outran by kuhn despite kuhn being a good 10 meters behind said it all. He’s been a bit of a disaster of a signing and in my opinion we may as well try bed Leon King in to the team to bump a few quid on his value and get him sold because Propper brings nothing
This is what 20yrs of crying conspiracy gets you. Celtic have played a blinder. With their minions in the media always towing the party line of "Penalty Rangers"
No excuses 1.0 up 4 v 1 and blew it for 2.0 ..another defeat same old story a sickening result and get dessers out of the club asap just standing about instead of stepping up to take a pen he threw yimaz under the bus and on jan 1st put him on transfer list
If it's not a full on integrity issue, it is certainly unconscious bias. Rangers are toxic to many in Scotland. The Ultras don't exactly make us many friends. I couldn't watch the game. Listened on radio. I heard the 'neutral' BBC team cheering on Celtic. It's not hard to imagine a VAR official not digging too hard for a club he dislikes even if not Celtic-minded. 'No on likes us, we don't care' carries consequences even if it shouldn't. PC knows that, hence his olive branch to Collum last season. I'm not into conspiracy theories, but roll on AI taking over in VAR.
*We got five penalties yesterday and still didn’t win* Would also like to say where was our fans when our players went to collect there medals,??? Completely empty stadium our end, so embarrassing.
@ReMax-r2e this is how the SFA and the press get away with sidestepping the issue of poor refereeing. As soon as you claim it's an agenda against one club they can just dismiss the blatant and obvious flaws in our referee system as paranoid rambling. They're not professional referees for a start. The SFA don't want to spend the money to make them pro or even attract pro refs from elsewhere. Claiming everything is a conspiracy gives them the out and they've been taking it since the 90s. Our refs haven't been fit for purpose for a long long time. They managed to avoid doing anything about it by dismissing criticism as paranoia, from every team and their support not just ours, because everyone does wander off into making it a conspiracy against their club. Stop giving them the out. Demand professional standard refereeing instead of banging on about what school Nick Walsh went to. Box the cunts in and force the change. Until then they'll just keep getting away with not sorting it out.
Managers in-game management is very poor, in my opinion it was not a penalty 1st contact was outside the box, caused our own problems, making bad decisions in the wrong areas again as usual, plus we butchered a 4 on 1 to make it 2-0
The rule is it’s where the contact finishes, so should have been a penalty. We had 3 players near to the foul and none of them were in the refs ear about it - rightly or wrongly that stuff makes a difference.
@user-mjg1067 just because the 1st contact was outside the box doesn't mean that the 1st contact was a foul. The foul happened when he was on the line/in the box it's clear as day.
Spurs won 5_ 0 yesterday, why are their players fitter than ours, aren't they both professional, stop moaning about the officials, thats tarrier talk, they're bang average & ain't winning zip for years to come, congratulating a Rangers team for getting stuck in is pathetic, that should be the fkn norm, ffs
So we shouldn't complain about being denied a blatant penalty? We shouldn't complain that decisions we SHOULD have gotten vs them we didn't, we should just accept it and allow it to continue?
@ReMax-r2e we had 5 penalties yesterday & still got beat, you sound like all the Tim's moaning about decisions,if they put the baw in the fkn net it widny matter and they cany manage that, they're unfit, uninterested & bang average championship level
Stevie is bang on, it’s an integrity issue. If they made equal mistakes for either team I’d say incompetence but they never do, all big calls and mistakes go against Rangers in these games, there’s a pattern.
this comment is the one
100%. It’s hard not to come across like a bad loser but when decisions are so one-sided you have to address the possibility of corruption.
Come on lads, of course it’s integrity. We need you guys with media voices to call it exactly what it is.
Josh you are also wrong, the record of VAR decisions over the last ten OF games shows it cannot be simply incompetence.
Fantastic review of the game today lads. I want to see players grow and i can see growth.
It’s 100% integrity regarding these officials. Not the first time questionable decisions have been made by them regarding us.
🥲🥲🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Not the first time, second, third or fourth. Everything Stevie said was bang on. Serious questions need to be asked
I am going to question their integrity, do you honestly think if thats happened at the other end VAR aren't intervening.
Ridvan telegraphed his spot kick. Easy save.
Are Derek and Joshua's opinions influenced by who owns Rangers Review? Stevie is his own man and is calling it for what it is.
Why was the Celtic keeper allowed to harass every Rangers penalty kicker without repute?
It is an integrity issue, because it happens to favour the same team every time. Call it for what it is, or don’t call it at all!
Why are you both going against Stevie's integrity comment. With the tech that's available, there's no room for incompetence from the VAR staff. Stevie is accurate in his judgement call regarding the integrity question.
It’s not incompetence Derek. If that happens at the other end it’s a penalty. You know that. I know that. Every Rangers fan knows that
Derek you are naive if you think that's simply incompetence.
Stevies 100% right O’Connor has done this v us before it’s defo integrity needing called out
I think as much as it is right to call out dodgy officiating, the main focus should be that we have quite a few young players that will keep improving and we pushed an inform Celtic all the way and the teams were separated by one penalty. Buying young and building them takes time, but if we encourage and back them our fortunes will change faster. Agreed, our energy level did drop off with subs. More new younger players joining the club will help sustain energy after substitions.
Dessers is a pen taker and never should up he has to go now. Walk out in a huff in a European game should never wear the top again.
Dessers has got to go
If it’s incompetent officials then why are a certain club never on the receiving end of that incompetence?
He who pays the piper gets the decision.
Hi Derek when you post a video can you turn up the volume ta.

The team played immense pity about var and pens.
Great show glad Stevie was on 👍🏻
Hi Mark, we're aware about the audio levels. We'll look to sort going forward. Cheers
Steve, the only one with the guts to call it what it is, an integrity issue.

Funny how VAR never works properly against the "big" teams....
I think the biggest difference maker was Souttar being injured. As scoring 3 goals should be enough for any Rangers team to win a domestic final.
Josh, the incident doesnt have to be ,’over the line’ it doesnt have to be obvious, why ,when that foul was given wasn’t it checked, we must need this clarified by those in charge, at the moment the integrity is in question.

If the officials are incompetent then the integrity of the match is compromised.
Stevie is quite right to call out the integrity of the officials. What else can it be....another honest mistake!
I know you lads do not want to say it but I will. There has been an agenda with referees in old firm games. Their decisions or lack of them always falls aga❤instvRangers.
If the ball was on the other foot, 100 percent would have been given.
Too much history against Rangers for it to be incompetence. Only one Club is perpetually affected. That’s not incompetence. That is deliberate. They are cheating.

Rangers need to come out strong on this. That's every OF game in last 2 years we have not got big decisions.
Who was in the var room
The var team was sutton and lennon.
We had 3 players around the Cerny foul and not one claimed for the pen. Ref / VAR had a howler but we haven’t helped ourselves. Still a naive team.
Your fear of losing credibility by mentioning the lack of integrity from officials in Scotland is the problem. How many cases are going to favour Celtic in these tight games before the potential of corruption is allowed to be discussed? We looked good because Celtic didn't turn up but don't worry lads... we won the first half. Embarrassing.
So everytime we do well against a top team it's because they didn't turn up ? Have a day off man. WE MADE spurs and celtic look beatable just unfortunate we don't have composure or we would have won both matches.
Spurs and Celtic wer just to turn up and batter rangers well they both got a shock and played both off the park.
Embarrassing comment to say Celtic didn’t turn up if you actually know the game you would see tht it was rangers tactics tht made Celtic look ordinary
A much improved performance against Celtic, but undone by the usual mistakes. None of Celtics goals were worldies, they were all down to mistakes by us.

Hate to say it. They check rangers goals every week and rangers still no pens all year.
Come on Derek, don't be so naive, of course its about integrity, there's is shot to bits.
Who was in the VAR room
Connor and Aitken
With all due respect to Derek & Joshua, it is not, and cannot be, the 'incompetence' of paid/trained/professionals (loosely termed), if the average football fans Granny would call a penalty every time, let alone professional refs saying it's blatant.

Incompetent 🤦♂️ ffs calm it out for what it is . Sick of folk scared to admit what goes on
Wee Stevie looks about 7foot 10!
No excuses 1.0 up 4 v 1 and blew it for 2.0 ..another defeat same old story a sickening result and get dessers out of the club asap just standing about instead of stepping up to take a pen he threw yimaz under the bus and on jan 1st put him on transfer list

Dessers hopefully will realise his time is up and leave the building, one of the worst strikers this club has had.
Big Phil is slow on the up take. No one like us. We don't care. Lol
So you ony get penalties if players are claiming for it? Nonsense. Its a penalty end of
Bias, luck, whataboutery - no responsibility? That's why mediocrity continues.
Pure mad Stevie, so raging he’s sitting in a cupboard 😎
*We got five penalties yesterday and still didn’t win* Would also like to say where was our fans when our players went to collect there medals,??? Completely empty stadium our end, so embarrassing.
The fans are sick to death watching these hopeless uninterested wasters ,that's why
One word............paranoia
Definitely not paranoia there's far too much proven evidence for it to be simple paranoia

The defence for both teams was criminal to say the least.
We never won our last two games . We are 11 points behind. The seasons over. There is no unlucky. We are crap. They have given us nothing.
If cerny was in the box its a penalty lines from var showed he was outside thebox its not a penalty get on with the next game
Rule 12 if the original tackles outside the box but continues into the box as shown its a penalty. Look it up
How can there be lines from var if didn't look at it?
There's been a big decision go against us last 5 games against them I'm starting to think it is integrity

Pure cheating at the highest level from the var team and the ref for not asking for var to check.
