Proud student here of GM Romeo Postrano! 🫡💪🙌💕 Great work Jessie! I appreciate you featuring my Arnis Master. Maybe we can exchange Arnis skill sometime if you are happen to be in Makati. 👋
Nong sa diin ka sa Makati subong?
Salamat sir, doing my best to document everyone I met while was there in the Philippines. I was only there for only 3 weeks and met a handful of teachers. We would love to meet you in Maktai in the future, we have a friend that just moved there recently.
Appreciate the old school approach. But please don’t let others take advantage of you sir. You said you would teach for free for those who are dedicated, but it’s your time and energy.
Money is not important to my father since then..if some people interested to learn about Arnis.
I've heard many similar stories of Filipino teacher's giving the art away for little to no money. All they wanted in return was the recognition and respect from the students. It's admirable but also heartbreaking. We know money is not important to everyone, but credit should be given when a person themselves begins to teach. You don't gain this skill from nowhere.
Totally understand and respect that choice. But it's a different mindset in the western world. They feel that if something is "free" or "cheap" that it doesn't have a value. It's sad realty unfortunately.
Lot of Respect.
15-20 minutes video would have been great.
Thank you.
Had only a limited time during my trip to Bacolod, so we had to be quick with the instructors that agreed to do a quick one on one interview.
Proud to see our fellow Bacolod and Negros Occidental brethren showing their systems. We also teach the “figure 8” which is also similar to the “Ocho Ocho.” All in all, the movements are fluid without putting too much strain on joints and tendons.
😎👌
Yes, we remember Guro Nate talking about the figure 8 counters and the eskala. The eskala was the logo I believe and he said it represents the overall movement (footwork, strikes and defenses). Transition without stopping in a fluid movement.
Thanks sir
Welcome. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
