I made the same mistake in the Porsche Cup a couple of days ago. Went on track and got the message that I was on dry tyres. So I thought: "Yeah? So? The track is only lightly wet, so why wouldn't I be on dry tires?". I discovered very fast why it wasn't a good idea. Mind you, that was in a practice session ;-).
That race was a real adventure 😮

What really annoys me was I knew I needed wet in qualifying, so I knew dry was a super big risk....
