Good race, you were 1st for a lap! It was quite the crazy back and forth at the front of the pack.

When your spotter says: "stay on the right," it sounds like "your other right." This would make more sense considering most of the drivers in iRacing.

Is there a way to view all the incidents during a race in replay or did you edit this together yourself?

Good drive. It’s a pity most of the top guys pretty much sit out the week or do the minimum for the championship. With one brake point, The track is just one big lottery!

Congrats on the 2k 🎉 !!!, LoL weird lines - yes I do know something you don't 😉 funny how you all follewed my weird lines after a bit 😂, Blinking - I have a button on my wheel connected to the iRacing server, especially for occasions like this, funny Jos neither you lifted 🤔, LOL you were worried about the weird lines taking you out but your SR are so dangeriously low, I am the whom should have worried, Fun race while it lasted, losing 400 IR this week because of inexperienced drives were expensive😅

I would say that with your driving skill level (whatever you would want to call/rate it) you could reduce your lap time by at least 1 second, if not 1.5 sec or more, just by learning/knowing HOW to drive the car optimally. It is not about any need for more skill - it is purely in how it needs to be braked, and what gears to use to optimise its traction. One clue is NEVER use second gear - at VIR at least. But the bigger gains will be from braking SOONER and WAITING, then you can use 100% throttle around more of the turn - in that higher gear than you currently use. At lot of iRacing cars benefit from that same "doesn't seem true to real cars" manner of driving them. I find that annoying(!), but it is just what you have to do to extract the best from them. You could probably learn that "1 second" in five laps or less.... the changes are so minor, yet so huge in benefit!

I was a little bit nervous when you went past Ben as he looked like he was going to get VERY racey, but thankfully (between you too at least) it was kept clean and you kept your nose in front. Shame about Les' lockup, but as you said, it happens!

Tough luck. Too much time off both the throttle and brake in the last corner. Get on the throttle just before you are fully off the brake and that will find you time there.

Incredible driving! I started sweating just by seeing how close you 3 were the whole time lol. Had a similar ending recently (the lower split version tho) where P2 divebombed me at the last corner and the collision made me get disqualified. Flew too close to the sun I guess, lessons were learned!

Hey mate. Quick question on your shifter. I know you drive the Vee (and probably the FF1600) alot. Does the auto-blip built into the moza shifter allow you to run with auto blip off in iRacing? Any noticeable improvement in laptime?

Congrats, Lap 1 with no 3 spinning and no 7 missing the corner turn in made a nice open run for you. Luck helps and playing safe make luck turn more in your favour. You could have followed Craig one more lap since he was oulling you further ahead by more than half a second a lap on 3rd position, always help to have a bit nore gap if you mess up a corner. Thanks for posting, nice to see me flying again 😂 luckily got my points back in later races.

I mean that was just Idiotic. There's a reason why in some formula there's a "move once" and "no weaving" on the straight and that's the reason why. If he'd have had a little more race craft, he'd had realised that track position on the last lap here isn't what you want. At least you managed to keep it pointing forward and you still took that well deserved win Gareth 👍🏻

I think the orange car needs to grow up. Major case of "main character syndrome" throughout that race. Hopefully they will learn the error of their ways and get better, but I'm guessing they will start moaning that they are 'always getting hit' and end up heading to a different sim or game. 😂 Great result for you mate.

Good job Gareth. Seems you had more compliant BMW's than the race I did with John. It's good to see it wasn't just me that thought Druids got slippier and slippier as the race went on. It became a real handful 👍🏻

Hey Gareth, good race and finish! Way to stay out of trouble. Driver in the Gulf livery was a menace LOL. Summit point was a rough one for me, I had to do a 5th and 6th race to bring my championship points average up. Since Summit the momentum in my races have been going in the positive direction. As for how I deal with slumps or multiple bad races ... after every race good or bad, I watch my replays and analyze any incidents and/or close calls I was involved in and figure out how I could have best avoided or approached the dangerous situation. I also analyze my passes and moves that go really well and try and remember my positioning and approach as to how I made the pass or positioning move happen. Thanks for the watch! Keep up the good work brother!

Good points👍, ah you did not air your 1st race. LoL you got mugged in Lap 5, I just let them go, they will take each other out eventually in 80% of cases. WoW fisrt time I see a loose wheel in the Vee's, would have been interesting to see what would happen when it gets hit. in race 1 and others yiu often miss gears which most of time cost you a position or loosing a tow, I would suggest going back to using Auto Clutch, consistensy is key. Love watching your videos, thanks
