      It must be hard to be honest. I understand them, I cannot bargain like that cuz it just makes me feel bad 😕...my face cringes everytime they give him a discount and he asks for more.

    • @ahmedkamalhasin2070
      @ahmedkamalhasin2070 2 роки тому +19

      @@ChelitoAlonzo Well tbh most shops like this ask quite high initial price. Because they know customers are gonna bargain so they start with a high margin. Keep in mind even after selling the glasses for 1500 which they asked 2500 for initially, surely they still made some profit. And from what I've seen, Luke only bargains in shops that are like in good establishments, so assuming they are doing quite well for themselves. He generally pays extra to most street vendors and seemingly poor sellers.

    As for the reason why your sugar cane juice tasted funky was coz of the "Black Salt" he added, next time you can ask them to not add the salt, it'll taste just as normal.

    I looove these kinds of shops... i remember when growing up in Saudi Arabia, my parents would bring us to old Batha where a lot of Pakistanis and Indians would sell clothes and shoes in cheap prices and we would wear them to school. Pakistan is an interesting place. Been there when i was 5 would love to visit someday.

    The "funky" taste in sugarcane juice is that of the "kala namak" black salt - its a bit of an acquired taste for the western palate - gives sulphur aftertaste. Try sugarcane juice without the salt next time, you will find it more like the one you had in Iraq.
