It must be hard to be honest. I understand them, I cannot bargain like that cuz it just makes me feel bad 😕...my face cringes everytime they give him a discount and he asks for more.
@@ChelitoAlonzo Well tbh most shops like this ask quite high initial price. Because they know customers are gonna bargain so they start with a high margin. Keep in mind even after selling the glasses for 1500 which they asked 2500 for initially, surely they still made some profit. And from what I've seen, Luke only bargains in shops that are like in good establishments, so assuming they are doing quite well for themselves. Sugar cane is where the sugar in your coffee or tea comes from. The funky smell is most likely due to the kala nimak (black salt) which contains sulfides. Very good for indigestion, but too much can be dangerous, so consume lightly

Love your videos, to be able to see Pakistan again reminds me of old memories from my last trip. Pomogranate juice is my favorite, I just finished drinking 3 glasses of it with loads of ice. I find this drink tasts so much better with ice when it is very cold so refreshing. It is concentrated so when the ice melts into it still tastes great. I always make fresh pomogranate juice in my cold press juicer here in Canada. Recently bought 50 Pomogranates on sale for $1 each. They keep long in the fridge. Usually a pomogranate is expensive here around $3-5. Next time I go to Pakistan will have to try the pomogranate juice they look big and juicy looking from your video in that shop. In Pakistan I always bought mango milk shake drink from the street so delicious!
Luke the funky taste in the sugar cane juice is from the black salt that he put in after he asked you. It's supposed to be good for digestion or something. The sunglasses guy actually gave you the glasses at a loss, the original guy was telling the younger one the same :)
You make really cool videos Luke. Makes me wanna visit Pakistan one day. Love that you try to portray the everyday life of mass people. Please do come to Bangladesh 🇧🇩 someday. Lots of love 💗
Wow, an hour long video! Excellent 😁 Just to point out, the funky taste in the sugarcane juice is coming from the black salt. The sugarcane juice by itself is delicious, but its common for the locals to add black salt to sweet drinks as it has many health benefits such as to aid digestion and ease heartburn. Black salt has a sulphur taste to it.
@@LukeDamant loving your videos like keep it up bro and another thing when the guy at the sugarcane stop said right hand what he meant was that you should drink with your right hand as it is the cleaner and purer hand

very hospitable country Pakistan .Loved this V log from the eyes of an Australian tourist who sounds too kind hearted not like agressive Australian cricketers.
25:14 - those are dried figs, popular during the winter. As for the reason why your sugar cane juice tasted funky was coz of the "Black Salt" he added, next time you can ask them to not add the salt, it'll taste just as normal.
@Travel with Luke Damant You are a great traveler , love the way you meet with locals and also i would say you must visit Gwadar, Sapat Beach, Kund Malir and Sindh Province you will get whole different classical vibe in this side of Pakistan it is totally different in culture which you haven't experienced yet...show this side of Pakistan too...Absolutely Lovely 😍😍

Those things on strings that you see alot are traditionally sun dried figs. One of the delicacies enjoyed in winters. Sugar cane juice is yellow. It's greener, when taza podina(fresh mint) is added to it. Sometimes people like adding black salt and a squeeze of lemon in it too.
Luke I m sure you would be liking the hospitality here. You can pay it back, you know how ?
Yeah I agree
You make really cool videos Luke. Makes me wanna visit Pakistan one day. Love that you try to portray the everyday life of mass people. Please do come to Bangladesh 🇧🇩 someday. Lots of love 💗
Wow, an hour long video! Excellent 😁 Just to point out, the funky taste in the sugarcane juice is coming from the black salt. The sugarcane juice by itself is delicious, but its common for the locals to add black salt to sweet drinks as it has many health benefits such as to aid digestion and ease heartburn. Black salt has a sulphur taste to it.
Wow, black salt. I never knew he added it and that it was so common here
@@LukeDamant loving your videos like keep it up bro and another thing when the guy at the sugarcane stop said right hand what he meant was that you should drink with your right hand as it is the cleaner and purer hand
Luke is so cute guy.... I love his way of greeting n searching for Cheese Paratha always😍, So kind so honest .. Keep rocking and being a Pakistani i appreciate your efforts, You move in market n making friends everywhere! God Bless you dear... Always welcome to Pakistan🥰, PAKISTAN ZINDABAD🇵🇰
42:00 that’s the black salt also called “kala namak” that makes the drink smell funky. Makes it “farty” as well BTW. Because black salt does alleviate intestinal gas.
A Pakistani Canadian now wants to fly back immediately to catch up with all those foods and markets :)
Go now and no regrets! 😁
When you are in Pakistan it feels like you are home after being to every country peace shows in your face

I love people in the middle east. They have such reverence for their guests and will treat you so well and are so very friendly. The Sikh people that originate from india also come to my mind as well. They are some of the nicest most welcoming people I have ever met and have the DNA of warriors.
Ppl (other shopkeepers) at samosa shop repeatedly asking to give chutney to Luke.
That's Pakistani hospitality.

It’s so nice to see those streets and market again .

The samosa kid, "yes yes" was from kashmir, a place called kotli, east of paksiatan on border with India.
Lovely mountains, and can get hot during summer due to geo location.
You did your research 🧐
East of Pakistan 🤦
It's in the north bro
very hospitable country Pakistan .Loved this V log from the eyes of an Australian tourist who sounds too kind hearted not like agressive Australian cricketers.
here to Indonesia here are many beautiful places and Indonesian people are very friendly broo 🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩
You have finally learned the art of discount while shopping in Pakistan 👍🏽 Thank you for coming we hope ur stay is pleasant, safe travels 🙏🏻
When dale Philip tells people he is from Scotland the reply is always "oh ok". When you say Australia the reply is always "oh wow nice" 😂😂
Because Pakistani people knows Australia because his Cricket team but Scotland cricket team and his players not famous in Pakistan.......
And in 2022 Australian cricket team comes Pakistan
My English is very weak 😊😂😍

Feeling so excited and glad to see an Australian guy visiting Pakistan. I watched your many videos in just 2 days. Luke, you are really very innocent and lovely guy . LOVE FROM PAKISTAN
By encouraging more foreigners and Aussies in particular to visit Pakistan as the tourism industry needs it the most. I wish you were here in Australia Series which is going to be held here in Rawalpindi in March.
and you keep killing them just like you killed sirilankan in sialkot
@@AGREEDSIR Don't blame on all Pakistani people.....
Those bloody people in jail whole killed innocent Srilankan manager......
Some bad people present everywhere so don't blame on Pakistan
@@salmannawaz7862That a good cover such incidents are common, city after city and week after week they are happening the most recent one happened in khanaywal 50 years old guy was accused of burning Quran and burnt alive........pitty is when such incidents happen no one like you stand and say stop it or try to stop them instead come here and defend them .......well this guy in video is smart he knows how to say Salam and etc so hes fine until someone accuse him for blasmey its really convenient for any muslim to falsely blame anyone and kill that person
@@AGREEDSIR actually some groups don't let change anything regarding blasphemy laws if any one does they know the result that's why no one speaks against them. Even government can't do anything 'cause their influence is so strong.
