Some of you who have had issues with your Tiguans, I’ve gotten off luckier. I drive a 2014 SE with 103,500 miles, and no major issues. Unlike the one my grandma used to have, a 2013 SE, the turbo went on her at the 50,000 mile mark. TWICE. I’m super thankful mine hasn’t gone yet. Yes, I know these will become expensive as time goes on, but my dad simply said “you don’t need to worry about any of that with me.” That simply takes a relief off my shoulders with that car.
I have owned VWs for over 30 years - I currently own the 2015 2.0 BMT Tiguan Match. Over the years the complexity has got higher and higher, the reliability quite the inverse. For me the sweet spot was my MkIII Passat estate in Tornado red - 230,000mls without missing a beat, the low point a 2005 Touareg 2.5 5cyl .. what an absolute dog! The Tiguan!? still to early to tell, a few electrical frailties, pushy dealers at service time, only complaints so far!

Aunque muy tecnologicos siempre van a requerir del visto bueno del humano!
at 5m20s the car takes long to start. it must be normal for a new car first startup.
Yes, the fuel system is dry. Takes a minute to prime the system
