Mushrooms vary in potency, even two mushrooms in the same batch can have different levels of psilocybin/psilocin . You would need to test a small amount first to get a feel for it(this method is cheapest and works best, start very small so u don’t accidentally send yourself to mars lmao), either that or buy some super expensive equipment like a gas spectrometer or something to see how much psilocybin/psilocin is in each batch
Hey guys. One thing that I do that is not in the video is after the mushrooms dry out in the pod. I use a coffee grinder to grind them up and I put them in the oil. Some people don't like that but for the gummies, cookies, brownies, and everything else I make, it works great. If you don't want to put it in your oil, you can put it in another recipe, and it still works great. Hope this helps.
Apparently, the protein in the mushroom that makes the stomach upset is chitin, the same one in the exoskeleton of bugs. Extraction separates this from the psylobin etc
Great video. I love all ur videos for 420 and mushrooms. Just wanted to mention to u though in case u didn't know it already. When making infused oils of any kind never store it in plastic containers. This goes for buying oil in plastic containers as well. Oil stored in plastic will cause the toxic chemicals in the plastic to leach out in the oil. So if u r trying to avoid that sort of stuff for health reasons I just wanted to share that info.
Psilocybin is water soluble, so I'm not sure how well that'll work. Even if it did work, that's a lot of oil for a small amount of mushrooms. Those machines are great for pot and herbs, though.

If the yield is as good as you say, oil may be better than water-based. It may last longer, as far as not oxidizing and losing potency..

I believe the chemical extraction method uses ether, so it should be soluble in oil and alcohols. And, NO do not just use water. Your yield will suck. Use hot lemon juice. The acid will pull it into the water. Sugar will bring you out of a shroom trip so drink that sour azz tea! Fast taking only water, no food for at least six hours and you will really trip balls. Also, that way you can just eat to end the trip. Food will bring you down quick.

I feel like this ratio is for micro dosing. Of course you could up the shrooms to 7 or 10 grams and lower the amount of oil to 1 cup. For use idk does not sound useful you can't bake psilocybin from what I read it breaks down. Edit : just thought about it and it could be added to chocolate then made into bars or what not
You can't make mushroom infused oil!! Psilocybin is only soluble in water (or other polar solvents) Edit: Psilocin is actually soluble in NPS (but it is has a relatively low concentration compared to psilocybin in mushrooms)
Lol no extraction of psilocin took place.. he commented that he ground up the mushrooms with a coffee grinder. I have a levo, his organic matter is in the oil giving it its potency. All mushrooms DO have lipid soluble compounds but we have barely scratched the surface so there isn't much more information

Something to consider about mushrooms particularly Psylocibin. I believe if you heat over 70 degree Celsius or 158 degree Fahrenheit you begin to break down the chemicals in the shrooms that get you want to stay in. maybe if you could infuse below that temperature this would work?
Lets put this to rest... Psylocibin has a melting point of 430 degrees and a boiling point of 974 degrees. With that said I personally do not believe low temps like that can hurt anything.

I ate 10gs with lemon tek and still didn’t get any visuals. Threw away 40gs. Now I dry with a fan. Heat will damage the potency. I got high af off the second flush I dried with a fan.
This must’ve just came out of your imagination. First of all, water boils at 100 degrees Celsius, and is used at that temperature brewing mushroom tea. There are no chemical breakdowns reducing the effects of psilocybin that happen as a result of boiling the mushrooms.

The one I’m most curious is liqeuor tek- Crystals of the gods, that claims to produce crystallized psilocybin(this one takes a little finesse, but you got it!), another one I e heard of but have always been skeptical of is an extraction called “blue juice”
I’m skeptical about what you’re suggesting here. Psilocybin is not very fat soluble and degrades with heat. So it may be a complete waste of mushrooms because the potency degrades too much.
Help I extracted my mushroom oil with the same process using the coconut MCT oil I put it in my mason jar airtight in the fridge and it looks like it's milky and chunky. I'm not sure if this is due to a fungal spread contamination. Or if it's just to change from different temperatures? Is it safe to consume?
I don’t usually use oil for plant extracts. I de carb and use Russia vodka. (Corn allergy so no dirty ever clear). This is nicer then the stovetop though…never extracted fungi though.

I dont really understand what infused oil is good for. Maybe for salads or something? If you heat up psilocybin the point of cooking it degrades. Thats the reason we dont get shroom brownies and stuff like that. They are only able to mix is with chocolate or other substances that have lower melting points so the psilocybin stays intact and potent. Same reason you dont boil it in tea, you just infuae the tea while its warm.
You can most certainly make shroom brownies! Psilocin and Psilocybin have incredibly high temperature resistance, close to 500F. I know people that throw them on their pizza and then bake it. I would personally raise the Temps up to whatever the carrier oil can handle. Loosen the fat molecules making it more soluble.
Now find a vitamin c supplement to mix into as well, like lecithin does with your body and cannabis. OG mycology ! I had boots in Iraq 08-09 and ive found nothing helps better than these.

I bought a levo infuser. It broke within a week. Did the company try to make it right. Hell no, but they did try to sell me another one. Full price. No thanks. Cheaper appliances out there that do the same thing and some that even do it better. Great idea you have but promoting levo .... no good. It really is a shitty over priced product. Would say I'm sorry but Im not. People want products that are solid. This product is not and its easily replaceable with other cheaper priced better made appliances. Hope I saved someone on spending excessive cash when they dont have to.

Yeah, I soak ground shroom in hot lemon juice and then filter after it sits a few hours.
It def works. If you want the oil more potent, use more mushrooms. This is just an example.

No information on its solubility in oil for sure, and with it being WATER soluble simply grind and soak in water.

He said he was infusing them at 120°. So, if your numbers are correct, infusing them using this method does not hurt the psychoactives.

There's a minimum line on the machine. Half cup if I remember correctly
