Today we're going to be taking a look at the Bulldog winch 2 inch by 2 inch receiver mount shank for the Big Dog shackle. You can use your Big Dog shackle and your hitch receiver with this 2 inch by 2 inch receiver mount shank. The Big Dog shackle, if you don't already have one is sold separately. You can find them right here at etrailer.com. Now, this is made from a solid steel construction. It's CNC machined.
It's going to be plated with a nickle plating so it's going to do a great job at resisting rust and corrosion. When installing this in your hitch, you can either install it this way because it has a set if pinholes that will work with it and this orientation or you can flip it like this because there's another set of pinholes. You can install it either way in the receiver tube of your hitch. It does require a 5/8 inch diameter pin to get the unit secured in your hitch. Taking at look at the overall length of the unit, measuring from edge to edge, that's going to give us a measurement of about 8-1/4 inches.
The large hole, this area right here, that's going to have a diameter of 1-11/16 of an inch. Take a measurement of the width, we can see that that's right around 2 inches. Measuring the width going this direction, that's going to give us a measurement of about 3-1/2 inches. The distances that we have from the center of the pinholes to the center of the large hole going from the rear one first, this is going to give us a measurement center on center of about 5-3/8 of an inch. From the closer one, that's going to measure about 4-5/8 of an inch.
That's going to do it for today's look at the Bull Dog wench 2 inch by 2 inch receive mount shank for the Big Dog shackle.
