Howdy friend 😎. I thought that was a piece of gold stuck on your finger nail about to fall off. When Gary looses body parts it turns to gold lol. Have a great week sinsia 🇺🇸👍⚒😎🍀
No annoying music. Just fantastic pure knowledge coming straight at ya. If you want to learn about getting gold his videos are the best. The best. Thanks for all that you do.
I stumbled on a gold mine youtube channel! edit: Keep up the good work, youre doing wonders teaching future generation (myself). I am gonna study your channel like a book. Thank you.
I always appreciate you sharing these mining tips, never noticed the difference in riffles between a sluice, banker, or dredge before. Makes sense! Thanks Gary
Your videos could never be " too long". I love information and knowledge from tricks of the trade Ol'Tymers like yourself and your buddy. They are not Long enough as far as I'm concerned. Lol Stay sharp you ol Leather neck.
Nice chunky loose standards picker. Where the heck was Jeff? Excellent tutorial on sluicebox basics. However, the best advice on sluice boxes is as follows: Jettison the classifiers and tiny sluice boxes and start digging and dumping with an Angus Mackirk. Experience the material moving power and joy of drop riffles. The Angus is the next best thing to an illegal dredge for demolishing a gold rich gravel deposit. They clean out in 30 seconds and also work surprisingly well for recovering fine flood gold. Armed with an Angus and some proper smoke offerings even greenhorrns can bring home the gold 3% for digging and dumping
trying to find gold myself, I live East of Sacramento area. I suck at it, but you're my number 1 channel for learning. I love your videos dood, please don't stop!
Great info on the sluice .In my area we can't use anything but a sluice or Rocker and pan, a lot of areas that I go are low flow or just puddles so the rocker is the go its as fast as a big sluice in putting through the paydirt maybe even faster as u don't have to classify first cheers Glenno. 👍😎
Hey Gary! I'm sure you know this, but since you didn't mention it, I'll toss it out for what it's worth: When I'm using the sluice for prospecting, I always be sure to clean off the black "witness mat" before adding material from a new hole, as that way you can know that any new gold is from your new hole and not the previous. Thanks again for brightening our days - sure am excited to get out there myself!
Thank you for telling us about the three types of ripples for the sluice, high banker and dredge. You will help me catch more gold as I was using one kind of ripple for all three types of equipment.
I have about ten books on prospecting, and none mentioned the different angles on riffles depending on the box used. Thx Gary. You really should write a book about prospecting. But do it in the off season of course!!
Lets get to moving " a couple semi loads of boulders " ;) Every video I am jealous of not being in CA anymore [ use to dredge in 80s-90s in No. CA ] but now we can't so it doesn't hurt so much . One of the best channels for learning --- instead of just showing what you doing ! ;) Thanks again
I always enjoy your videos 👍your to the point n so informative! Thank you so much! Heck I wasn’t even thinking about panning for gold n have not for Along time but now after watching your video I am wanting to get out my pans n gear n head out n dig! Lol thank you again!!! Keep up the great work n sharing to us “ know littles” we need all the help you veterans can give us! ❤❤❤🙏🥰
Thank you for your tuition on the sluice box and that high banker. I made our own including a high bankers because I can weld having been a lifer in the UK Royal Navy. My daughter Molly and I love your channel, which IMO is the best on YT. I cannot thank you enough for all you have taught us. All the very best from Wendi in the UK.
i bought bags of paydirt. i have come out of 1 bag, really small flake gold, i mean really small specks, some what they call tweezer pickers. i just bought a mini sluice, this video was very helpful. i am hoping to recover more miniscule flakes. my point is great tutorial on correct sluice set up. thank you, hope you find a rich pocket after you move those boulders.
Nice video Gary, wudda liked to see a better run of material see more gold but it was nice instruction. I think we finally have some water here north of phoenix to go try Lynx creek. Hard hit area but learned a lot from you on where to look. Hit some crevices and run it see how we can do.
Great info never can have enough when it comes to prospecting gold. So very elusive, but decent take for just 6 or ten pans that's good from where I from lmao but, we still got gold and plenty of make-shift adventures and remote camping here I the green mountains of Vermont. Jeff to the rescue on the boulders he is a great dude.
Thanks for the excellent video! Knowing where to look, what equipment to use and how to use it equals consistent gold recovery. That gold didn't travel far!
Awesome video... Talking about nails no one ever talks about them when panning, I panned in a river found some gold and enjoyed it so much but after about a week my finger nails were brital, and braking and I hardly even had nails I had to tape the ends up, hahaha,
Long time no see! I haven't been on for awhile and I been making my rounds, stopping by to say hi to everyone! Love your videos Gary! I found 3 nice spots but we have to much snow and ice to get up on the mountain. I'm going to make videos this year soni can show everyone some Yankee gold!
Gary, thank you for sharing all your knowledge and showing us in a hands-on demonstration. You also give all the background context and insights to help us understand the ground we are operating. Great stuff!
Very informative Video Gary! I learned some excellent small stream techniques! Now if I can just slip away from the Warden to look for some shiny! Thank you Dan Brent
Greatly done and quality gold! Time to get Jeff and the baseball team to roll some boulders after seeing that return🍻. So I've gotta say it.....put a damn bandaid on that finger before you hook it reaching into your pocket and I have to feel your pain....too late...I feel it🍻
I have learned so much from you Gary and I appreciate you very much. Especially for keeping it real. Love your attitude, humor and intelligence. Always like seeing your weigh-ins with Flash on there. He's an awesome guy too. Will be you making and selling any crevicing tools in the near future? I would love to be able to buy some from you. Had to save up first, lol. I'll be doing real crevicing for the first time this year, as I finally have confidence in what you have taught, so I don't go digging a big fat mud hole, lol. Take care Gary and God bless.
Have you ever tried layflat discharge pipe with a input scoop to pick up your water and discharge it into the sluice that is set up out of the channel but low enough in relation to the water for flow within the pipe.
Hey Gary, I love your videos. You have good content and I enjoy learning from you. I always wonder if you've ever had an Bigfoot encounters way up in the mountains? Any footprints, broken tree limbs or structures out there? Keep up the good work and good luck.
Excellent presentation Gary. I'm wondering about your statement of that little sluice being 2 feet in length. Is that the length of the actual working area with the riffles? The one inch drop per foot "rule" would be affected somehow wouldn't it? Ouch on the fingernail.
Nice information Gary looking forward to see you get the next 8 Grammer nugget and beat that Hawaiian punk and btw you can't make the videos to long so much more fun 😊😊😊
Howdy friend 😎. I thought that was a piece of gold stuck on your finger nail about to fall off. When Gary looses body parts it turns to gold lol. Have a great week sinsia 🇺🇸👍⚒😎🍀
It's gone now, kept bugging me so I pulled it off. Bit sore now, but much better. lol
AMERICA folks

Great video on setting up a 2 foot backpack rig with limited water. I appreciate it.
Thank you for telling us about the three types of ripples for the sluice, high banker and dredge. You will help me catch more gold as I was using one kind of ripple for all three types of equipment.
Thank you sir for your very useful information. Two thumbs 👍👍 up. Just received my first sluice today from Sluiceboy. Can't wait to use it!
Awesome. This is one of the most informative sluice setup videos I have ever seen.
That was a good informational video Gary and you even found a little gold which is always a plus.

Just got about the same sized sluce from adventures in prospecting. Excited to try it out tomorrow

Loads of great info fam. Haven't seen you run a box in a while fam. Great job all around. Keep on having fun getting that au fam. Gold squad out!!!
I guessed .30 in the pan. That was a nice tutorial Gary, thanks for sharing your experience! Best Regards from near Jefferson Oregon.

Nothin better than a day of sluicein on the river, gives a fella time to reflect and relax and just enjoy the day. 🤙🤙✌️
Nice sluicing video.always wanted to know the different types of mattings
There's always a new tip or two watching Gary get gold. Bummer about the fingernail, but nothing stops Gary from finding gold.
Very informative Video Gary! I learned some excellent small stream techniques! Now if I can just slip away from the Warden to look for some shiny! Thank you Dan Brent

Does it make sense to classify material before putting it in the sluce?
Hey Gary, I love your videos. You have good content and I enjoy learning from you. I always wonder if you've ever had an Bigfoot encounters way up in the mountains? Any footprints, broken tree limbs or structures out there? Keep up the good work and good luck.
I think the expanded metal was backwards in that Keene river sluice (a52?)
Thank you for this video! I'm a wanna be gold prospector! 🇫🇮
Are there leg leveler kits available for the sluice
Is the sluice ripple angle at 30°
Thank you! Loved the videos keep it coming!
Which sluice box is this that you are using?
One of my sauce boxes have the Hungarian riffle. I was told this riffle is best for flour gold. What is you opinion on this pictucler riffle?
Thanks for your time 🙏
Have ever been to the miners ravine area???
great show and the gold was good size
Hey Gary, Thanks for all the knowledge! Could you pass along the brand of that mini?
I built it several years ago.
Ooorah! Get on the road for gold sluicing, Marine!☕
Great Sluice video. Thanks for all the info.
Great video Gary!
Crambone...i would listen him all day...
Was that the Yuba river again? I’m planning a day trip. Any suggestions?
I was a long way from the Yuba.
finger nail falling off, digging through gravel with it.. what a badass
Are river run sluice boxes good for recovering flower gold?
They recover very fine gold. If there is a lot of fine gold it is best to flatten out the box a bit.
Awesome video! 🍻🇺🇸
Thanks Gary! Great tutorial!!
What are your thoughts on fluid bed sluice boxes?
The type of sluicing I do; they don't work well for me.
what about the plastic sluice box??or metal?
I'm not a big fan of plastic sluice box, that might because I'm old and if it's new - I'm against it. lol
Great video thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Thanks Gary great video.
Thanks Gary.
Your video was not too long. None of them are! So 0.25 gram is more than I found in five Sumer holidays in Italy.
How can i winn one slusebox😢 i love it❤
Great informative video. im just wondering though is the next one on how to sight in a hammer so you hit the nail your aiming at lol.
Morel of the story - don't work out of your trade. I'm a metal worker, don't know what made me think I was a carpenter. lol
Its close to iowa hill
well done Gary...very informative! Mark
Excellent as always
Excellent presentation Gary. I'm wondering about your statement of that little sluice being 2 feet in length. Is that the length of the actual working area with the riffles? The one inch drop per foot "rule" would be affected somehow wouldn't it?
Ouch on the fingernail.
It is the length of the entire box, that is where you start, then fine adjust from there.
Nice information Gary looking forward to see you get the next 8 Grammer nugget and beat that Hawaiian punk and btw you can't make the videos to long so much more fun 😊😊😊
Finger nail clippers are a quicker cleaner and pretty painless way for nail removal.
Great info
Thanks for sharing
🙏❤️🌲
Great video always great info
Two grams of enjoyment 2 me. Stay golden Gary 👻💪👊👻⚒️⚒️⚒️
Thanks Two ! !
