I consider myself a South Park connoisseur. Ive seen every episode at least 10 times. But I still always learn tons of new things when Dash posts a South Park video.
Originally, the episode ended with the boys finally getting into HSM, but everyone was now into Twilight, and began dressing as vampires...Much to the annoyance to the Goth Kids. Trey and Matt took that idea, and it became the episode "Ungroundable."

Born in the early 90s, I feel old for having gotten Pokemon Gold when it came out. I know that's not a major historical event. Still, if you look at how technology progressed compared to the technical specs of the game boy and the games for it, it's a distance of light years in technological capability.
My grandma was a "military brat" her father was high ranking (my grandmother herself would be in the air force as an adult) and she went to elementary school in Germany right after the end of the war. She has some incredible stories from that time. One of the big ones is that they lived amid all of these bombed out buildings and there was one on their block that all of the neighborhood kids played in despite being told by their parents not to, my grandmother and her sisters included. There was a rubble pile in the basement of the building that they used to climb on a lot. It turns out there was a live bomb under that rubble pile. Could have exploded at any time and luckily it didn't before being discovered and disarmed.
Dash truly is the supreme Emperor of South Park reactions. He gets every joke and damn near every older movie reference. His videos are therapeutic for me.

dude idk who does your editing but its so great i love seeing the tid bits and all the references it cant be you because you said in this video that you didn't know much about highschool musical so unless you somehow knew all the perfect scenes of HSM to look up and add in despite not having seen it then idk but the edits are so accurate like whoever does it knows exactly what 80% of things are in reference to and so many episodes as well maybe it's multiple people but the editing is top fuckin notch
I've watched South Park ever since I was a kid in the 90's, originally with subtitles and then without once I learned English. Now it's been some years already, but I actually did my BA thesis on South Park 😄 I really like listening to your videos, because you've clearly taken the time to look into the thought and idea behind these episodes! Of course, especially the Japanese ones are imo the best - plus I finally learned the lyrics of the Mecha Streisand song thanks to you 😂
I never saw High School Musical either, I was too old for it when it came out. The kids that grew up when High School Musical came out are in their 20's and 30's today.
I was in a middle school play called "High School Musical" but I played a character that wasn't in any of the movies. I played a nerdy announcer for the school and the great part of that role was that I was able to read from the script itself.

As far as High School Musical goes, i was in middle and high school during their craze; I enjoyed them, and i think they'd be good to react to for you, even if its only the first one. It's not mandatory viewing, but i feel it changed how teen movies were changed because of how much of an audience it drew.

They just don’t stop, they don’t have an off button. It’s fun but it’s fucking exhausting. It’s basically a load of attention seeker in a room who are all fucking one another. Makes it an interesting life.
Hoping you consider watching Episodes 200 and 201! Not only my favorite two-parter, but a giant love letter to the series as a whole, with so many amazing call-backs and returns of the show's history and characters. They're not streaming though, but you can find 'em if you do a little google digging or get the Season 14 DVD
