How can we as streamers protect ourselves from BTTV ? I found out that users of BTTV can see messages that are deleted or cleared from chat. This creates a privacy concern.
Huh was not aware they can see deleted messages from the plug-in. I would say your best course of action is reaching out to the devs and letting them know - See if they can do a patch update.
@@Wild4 I try to reach out to Twitch and get absolutely no response. Maybe you could make a video about this as you probably have way more clout than I do in the influencing world. All I can say was it made me very nervous because I had shared something that accidentally showed nearby locations and I keep that private. When I tried to delete / clear chat using the Twich ability, one of my members was able to still see what was deleted because of BTTV. I don't use it but because he did, he could still access and see what was deleted which makes me feel very unsafe on the platform.
My account was hacked any advice in getting in back I spent 2 years on that account I'm at a loss
Your only hope is to contact Twitch Support - But from what I have heard, you wont hear back for a while unless you were a partner. If you had two factor on - You might be able to push a reset to your phone and change the password
