I had one for Christmas, always had gum problems and bleeding, i must say it is life changing, in the beggining i used reduced speed to get used to it, it made my gums bleed and was a bit painful but i knew if i kept using it everyday it would help now one week later no more bleeding and my mouth feels very fresh and clean, this is a life changing for me and i recommend it to everyone.
I will be honest. This is amazing. Yesterday I don't even know there is such a thing called water flossing. But I got something stuck in my tooth for last 2 days and it's starting to feel real painful. A few years ago when a similar thing happened, I have to pay a visit to dentist get it out since string floss won't do the job. I was about to do the same when an online search shows to try water flossing. I was like why the hell not, it's about the same price as dentist visit anyway. And it worked so well to get the stuck thing out! My gum was bleeding from many attempts at using string floss and failing. Now I am happily relieved and painfree.
Possible Fix - I was disappointed in the size of the reservoir. I believe I found an alternative. Get a big plastic cup and fill it with water. Leave off the reservoir and insert the intake into the cup. If your on fast your going to get low. Simply tilt the glass so the intake is still in the water. Tried it this morning and it worked like a charm. No refills or stopping.
I just got one. It would benefit if it had an on button that has to be constantly pressed for it to pump. The slide switch is stiff and a struggle to turn off with the nozzle in one's mouth. The slide switch also accidentally goes into the high position when trying to slide it to low.
Another benefit of having a hold down to pump button is, can have the flosser momentarily off when going from tooth to tooth, and the water wouldn't be wasted.
Highly recommended For those who wearing braces! Because it saves you time and painless such as bleeding gums, toothache, feeling wires are tighten! All those problems will be resolved after using 3 to 4 days this product! Your welcome! Just sharing my experience to help you.
Any problems putting a little mouthwash in my reservoir? I'll run some regular water through it after. You guys should make some dissolvable tablets as a additive to the cleaning water

I have an oral irrigator that uses alkaline batteries. I much prefer it over the rechargeable models. First off, the rechargeable units are way more expensive and they do NOT last. Secondly I do not have the space for another charger in bathroom, I already have one for ultrasonic toothbrush. With the alkaline unit it works very strong and when batteries die, it just takes me a minute to replace them (I buy alkaline batteries in bulk once a year or two, so its cheap to operate this type of oral irrigator). I buy the same with other items, including my electric shaver (alkaline batteries), etc.

Hi Juzek - This is attainable if the user tilts their head to the side; however, this can be challenging for some users. In this instance, a user may be better suited for a countertop water flosser.

The Cordless Advanced is designed small as it is intended more for those who travel and for those with little counter space. Some users may find it necessary to fill the reservoir more than once. If you have not flossed regularly in the past, it may take some time for your gums to get used to it. We recommend that you start on the lowest pressure setting that is most comfortable for you. You can adjust the pressure gradually as your gums become stronger. However, if pain and bleeding are severe or if they persist, we recommend speaking with your dental provider.

Works good, but the design is terrible. After use, I always empty and rinse the reservoir and let it air dry. I do the same to the base. It's best to use all the water once you fill it up, it prevents gunk from building up inside the water reservoir and the nozzle, but it's also best clean it once or twice a month as well
Yes, the reservoir is removable for easy cleaning. To remove the reservoir, slide the reservoir release latch from the unlock position then slide the reservoir down towards the base of the unit. We recommend that the reservoir is removed and cleaned weekly.
Ive been using one of these for over a year but now there seems to be suction building up in the water tank. I have to open the lid and let air in before it will empty. I can hear the suction when I open it. Any ideas?
Hello Reshma - The Waterpik Water Flosser is designed to take the place of traditional string floss and is safe to use multiple times a day. However, we do recommend flossing a minimum of once per day for at least one minute.
If it is hard calculus then that would need to be removed in a dental setting. I know cleanings can be expensive. See if there is a dental hygiene school near you. They provide excellent cleaning services for a fraction of the cost!!
Water flossing is actually flossing, just by a means other than traditional string floss. So you can water floss as frequently as you would string floss. Please call 1-800-525-2774 or email smreviews@waterpik.com with any other questions.

If you have not been flossing regularly and experience discomfort, then it might take two weeks of daily water flossing to strengthen your gums. This is due to gum health issues rather than water flossing itself. (If your discomfort persists or you experience bleeding gums that hurt or are red and swollen, contact a dental professional for an assessment of your oral health.)
If you are new to water flossing, then you will want to start at the lowest setting. Any time you begin a new flossing regime after some time away your gums will be more sensitive. Start slow, and work up as your comfort level increases and gum health allows.

Great but how do you clean it?

This is my third water Pik in a year! No instructions on how many times to charge weekly or how to clean. I think I must be doing something wrong in charging and cleaning after using for it to not work two times! Frustrating!
What is the issue you are having?
@@savannahjackson338 Wouldn’t you know it....after I posted this, I found the instructions tucked into the box!!!! It was put there in a way that was easy to miss!!!
@@mernie2011 you must’ve opened it upside down because mine was i think at the top. Either way you should check the whole box by taking everything out fully. Mine says to charge 24 hours before first use which sounds like too much. Then it says to charge once a week (overnight) if you use it once per day.
@@ajharmiah2692 THANKS! Yes! That is what I did and now I cover the charging holes on the unit so it doesn’t get wet by using tape.
@@mernie2011 no problem. By the way those instructions were for my waterpik which is a different model, so i dont know if the instructions i gave applies to you. I bought mine a month ago, but it started leaking at the ejection button.. 😩 any suggestions?

Life hack: put a water hose in your mouth 10/10
This is just pure genius
But won't you drown?
I love water flossing but this portable one is horrible. Not enough pressure. Cumbersome to hold and operate and the small reservoir doesn’t last long. The better portable one to travel with is the sidekick by waterpik. That is a better option for something portable yet functional.
The Cordless Advanced is designed small as it is intended more for those who travel and for those with little counter space. Some users may find it necessary to fill the reservoir more than once. This model also does have a higher PSI on low than our counter top units; however, it has been proven safe and effective. If you're unhappy with the model, please know that it does carry a 30-day money-back guarantee. Call 1-800-525-2774 for assistance.
I bought one two days ago and it’s not working at all I charged it for hours checked everything is ok but still there is no water coming from it it just make sound and do nothing,I can’t even return it and now I only have a piece of plastic that doesn’t do nothing and can’t do nothing about it

Like how do you open it up to clean it
Hello - Before cleaning, unplug from the electrical outlet, then you can remove the reservoir from the power handle by sliding the reservoir release latch to the unlock position, and slide the reservoir down and off the unit. Once it is removed, you can clean it by using a mild non-abrasive cleaner and soft cloth, or, it is top-rack dishwasher safe. Here's a link to our cleaning blog for more information: www.waterpik.com/oral-health/product-support/articles/how-to-clean-waterpik-water-flosser-vinegar/. Hope this helps!
can you overcharge these waterpiks or is there an automatic sensor that stops it from doing so?
Hello - This model has smart technology that prevents the unit from overcharging.
@@waterpik thank you
I just purchased one today and it’s leaking all over the place. Help
We are sorry to hear your unit is leaking. As indicated in the instruction manual, the reservoir should be emptied after each use. It is not designed to store water for long periods of time. We would like to get some additional information regarding the issue and can open a claim if needed. Please email us at smreviews@waterpik.com or call us at (800) 525-2774 and we would be happy to help.
Hello, can I leave the water in it after I use it? Or should I empty it every single time?
You don't want water sitting in it. Pour it out and let air dry.
It's best to use all the water once you fill it up, it prevents gunk from building up inside the water reservoir and the nozzle, but it's also best clean it once or twice a month as well
Can you detach the bottom water compartment
Yes, the reservoir is removable for easy cleaning. To remove the reservoir, slide the reservoir release latch from the unlock position then slide the reservoir down towards the base of the unit. We recommend that the reservoir is removed and cleaned weekly.
@@waterpik Thank you so much for your help
Wow!!
Ive been using one of these for over a year but now there seems to be suction building up in the water tank. I have to open the lid and let air in before it will empty. I can hear the suction when I open it. Any ideas?

can water flossing damage teeth enamel?
Is this safe to use if you have crowns?
Yes, the model is perfect for anyone with braces, crowns, bridges, or veneers.
How maney time in a day can do water flouss
Hello Reshma - The Waterpik Water Flosser is designed to take the place of traditional string floss and is safe to use multiple times a day. However, we do recommend flossing a minimum of once per day for at least one minute.
Can this get rid of existing tartar/plaque
If it is hard calculus then that would need to be removed in a dental setting. I know cleanings can be expensive. See if there is a dental hygiene school near you. They provide excellent cleaning services for a fraction of the cost!!
How many times a day can I use it?
Water flossing is actually flossing, just by a means other than traditional string floss. So you can water floss as frequently as you would string floss. Please call 1-800-525-2774 or email smreviews@waterpik.com with any other questions.
Please let me be able to download the music. I've seen this video many times, because I have become addicted to the melody.

@@veggera LOL..!! XD
XD
@@Chloewashere2 That is motto !! XD

It hurts my gums, what should I do?
If you are new to water flossing, then you will want to start at the lowest setting. Any time you begin a new flossing regime after some time away your gums will be more sensitive. Start slow, and work up as your comfort level increases and gum health allows.

does it remove plaque?
Hello - The Waterpik Water Flosser removes plaque and bacteria. Plaque build-up turns into tartar, and may result in yellow teeth, tooth decay, and gum disease. Waterpik oral health products are clinically proven to provide significant oral health benefits. Please call us at 1-800-525-2774 with any other questions.
Can this replace flossing completely?
Basically yeah
You do not need to use string floss in combination with water flossing. This product is designed to actually take the place of string floss.
After using mine, the plaque foam that I felt on my gum line and between my teeth actually goes away. However, afterward, I use an electric toothbrush to brush my teeth and gums to make my teeth and gums much cleaner.
My gums is bleeding when i use this machine please hlp what should i do?😢😢😢😢
If you have not flossed regularly in the past, it may take some time for your gums to get used to it. However, if pain and bleeding are severe or if they persist, we recommend speaking with your dental provider.

Hi - You will need to place the charger on the front of the unit facing up. It can take up to 4 hours to fully charge the model.
Haha…. I couldn’t figure it out either. There is invisible magnet that holds it in place on front. Just slowly slide down till you feel the magnet hold the charger in place. You need the charger that came with it otherwise you won’t be able to charge it.
