To be honest, I can understand those who don't like him, but I've watched a lot of his clips, and he almost always succeeds in making me laugh out loud at least once, and usually more than once, which very, very few others succeed in.
I agree, as big a fan as I am and was back then, that whole ending is so awkward. There were moments of silence at the end when he turned to Arsenio. Arsenio actually bailed him out of a REALLY awkward silent moment at 3:37 by saying "your decision" after a like a 5 second dead air.
I always found Arsenio funny and he had a few years on a great talk show. I don't think he's upset. At least every time I saw him Jay's show he didn't seem upset. Besides let's be honest, it's hard doing a late night talk show anyway.
weird, not as many fans as you think on here...however he is the first stand-up to sell out MSG and as of 6 years ago he was the highest paid act in Vegas.... not anymore though. :(
One of his criticisms is that he tries to be italian, but if you were from brooklyn in the 80's you'd be "trying to be italian" too! I see nothing Italian about him, he even looks distinctly Jewish, and he puts it in his act A LOT, all the 80's babies who don't like this guy and complain that he's washed up might consider watching someone else, This guy, like it or don't, was a comedy heavyweight superstar, Gardens in 89 baby, SOME people must find him funny weather or not you chirpers do OOHH!!
I think they're setting the bar pretty high for modern day comedians just like Carlin, Hicks, and Dangerfield did back in the day. I think they earned their way on the same list as the legends but in no way, are they close to surpassing them. I thought I mentioned Pryor but I guess not, looking back on my previous comment. My bad
One trick pony? What does that mean? What entertainer isn't? You wanna see him start juggling or do magic? He's been a successful standup for 20 years. Still funny as hell too.
@hotelBroslin sooo agree with you. seen him lately? what a bum. it's a shame. but you nailed it. i feel the same way. 'Cute" in 1990, for about......2 minutes. when he tries it now, it's pathetic. he also has an "Anger" problem, and seems to like to use his bitterness from "Fading Away" .........turning it on a TV show host every so often, to attempt a "Shocking Moment" comeback. oldest trick in the book. Andrew, Just Call it brutha'. Limelight for you is over.
@victorsblock i don't hate the guy, i don't even dislike him, but your point about he must be good because he makes money makes no sense, Kim Kardashian is a millionaire and has literally no talent, so many other examples like that as well.
Dice ruined it at the end telling Arsenio he was bored. Unprofessional. He shoulda kept telling edgy jokes and wrapped the segment up like a normal stand up. He wasn't a big enough name yet to do something like this. His lackluster film The Adventures of Ford Fairlane killed his career. Dice was cool (if offensive) up until the very early 1990s. Maybe he'll lose weight, get some new material, some good hair plugs (much like Steven Seagal needs) and make a 21st century comeback! OH!!!
not even over rated hail to the fake king pryor couldnt even sell out the garden twice shit they didn't even consider him..thats all he needs to say to all the jealous haters.lol
Rodney Dangerfield did like him but he favored a greater mind, Sam Kinison. He also loved giving comedians of all talent a chance. And I used "ear" because you LISTEN to comedy. I know it's not boy bands too but it's an example to prove the point I was getting across. My overall point was anybody can rewrite some material such as nursery rhymes, that already provide a basis to stem from but it takes a really ingenuous mind to come up with something better than the crap Dice wrote. His act sucks.
Saw Dice a couple of months ago. Both my wife and I cried from laughing so hard. Actual tears. Killer show. He still is the Best.
To be honest, I can understand those who don't like him, but I've watched a lot of his clips, and he almost always succeeds in making me laugh out loud at least once, and usually more than once, which very, very few others succeed in.
You take that back, Classic Dice on a damn funny talk show. I like Arsenio Hall thank you very much!!!
Yes i do remember that one he was so funny! He is still the greatest.
"YOU EVER GO OUT HOGGIN?" hahahahahaha! fucking hilarious
Dice Rules !
Funny as hell! Love ya Dice!

Been English never seen this guy before, just found him on youtube, hes well funny.
Arsenio defenetly pushed the envelope having this guy on...👍🏽
3:03 Arsenio is hilarious
silly yet brilliant!
When he would say oohhh at the end of his punchline....it would kill the joke.
Arsenio with his head down the whole time. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!
I totaly agree
Where is the one he crys on?
He was more about the character than the material, which is what people really loved, so he didn't have a lot of new stuff to say after awhile.
good for you
Hoggin. Classic
@victorsblock Are you the Dice Man?
THERE'S NOTHING LIKE HOGGIN! hahaha
@g9ambit he was on entourage and that metal show
I always found Arsenio funny and he had a few years on a great talk show. I don't think he's upset. At least every time I saw him Jay's show he didn't seem upset. Besides let's be honest, it's hard doing a late night talk show anyway.

Whoah... remember the days you could smoke inside TV studios?
One trick pony? What does that mean? What entertainer isn't? You wanna see him start juggling or do magic? He's been a successful standup for 20 years. Still funny as hell too.

thats exactly what it is.
Dana who?
@artistsandbox You notice that too. Arsenio was dying.
thats b/c hes from brooklyn
He got 3 laughs! 💣💣💣💣 people in the 90's did some heavy drugs. I laughed harder at a funeral! Ohhh
I agree, but I hit thumbs down anyway because I don't want to be told what to do.
One word describes Arsenio. CANCELLED.
This was classic DICE - on a lousy late night show...
IF HE HAD MORE PUNCH LINESAND MIXED WITH HIS IMAGE HE WOULD HAVE BEEN FUNNIER.
@hotelBroslin sooo agree with you. seen him lately? what a bum. it's a shame.
but you nailed it. i feel the same way. 'Cute" in 1990, for about......2 minutes.

Nervous times, those early 90's.
@uncoverbrother hes a legend
3:00 Arsenio is the wtf?!
How is is comedy dirtier than Eddy Murphy's???? I don't hear Arsenio complaining and acting embarrassed about his friend.... Hypocrite
@steven4rmnewyork back then people have nothing to do they might as well see his show, twice. let see now a day?
cero original, thats the VH1 nickname
this might be contradicting but I don't like his material nor do I think he's funny yet I like him.
thts what majority of jews in NY and NJ r and especially the 1's from brooklyn, long island and queens.
Elvis/Fonzi/Rocky
"Im bored with this" sounds cheap way of saying im out of material. Hit the thumbs up if you agree
@victorsblock WELL SAID BROTHER
Hilarious
theres prob a reason why i never heard of this dude, imma go watch some dave chappelle the KING of comedy
OHHH
a five year old writes his jokes..
He's not Italian. He's Jewish.
Dice is so awkward when he ends his set.
you could do better. I believe in you.
@victorsblock i don't hate the guy, i don't even dislike him, but your point about he must be good because he makes money makes no sense, Kim Kardashian is a millionaire and has literally no talent, so many other examples like that as well.
Is his entire act just reading crappy tweets?
well..actually when is was a kid i wanted to be a comedian, but i was afraid everyone would laugh at me
Dice ruined it at the end telling Arsenio he was bored. Unprofessional. He shoulda kept telling edgy jokes and wrapped the segment up like a normal stand up. He wasn't a big enough name yet to do something like this.

I can't understand a word he's saying. Is he speaking English?
He's Jewish.
Hack
not even over rated hail to the fake king pryor couldnt even sell out the garden twice shit they didn't even consider him..thats all he needs to say to all the jealous haters.lol
even his own jokes bore him....lol
ter-ri-ble
a unscrupulous jew doing a Italian stereotype
@whothehellgivesadamn it just ain't funny.
The prob with Dice his material was so thin nothing new he was the least creative comedian!
kinison rules! dice is a hack! try real comedy! cut n paste on every dice vid
He had a few good moments, but most of the time his act is lame.
Ugh 🤮
Rodney Dangerfield did like him but he favored a greater mind, Sam Kinison. He also loved giving comedians of all talent a chance. And I used "ear" because you LISTEN to comedy. Totally obnoxious. Not funny at all.
