Nice history lesson. I own a 1966 Series 2A, 88”, and love it! It’s slow, No power steering, no power brakes, only 3rd and 4th gear have syncros. No sound proofing, no air bags, steel dash. Very difficult to drive! But it will go anywhere! Did I mention I love it! I have driven several new Discoverys and a new Defender. The Discoverys were dull and I hated the Defender. I have also driven an old Defender and a Defender Wolf. ( Yes please!) Never has a company so lost touch with its past.
I love die cast models but hate plastic ones. What was this one? ANd 1/24 is a bit small, i prefer minimum 1:18 and as big as 1:8 (the legendary Pochers, but very expensive and take a week to do)
2. the Range Rover is indeed the Rolls Royce of Luxury SUVs. Nothing else save a Rolls Cullinan (that will set you back half a mill, with options) even compares. Not even expensive three row Merc SUVs.
Great video, thanks. Many comments. 1. Note that the original RANGE Rover was only 3,800 lbs? This is 200 lbs less than either of my (2007 and 2008) E class Diesels!!! Obesity in cars and SUVs is worse than that in humans! More comments to follow.

I believe you are on point!👌
I built the 1/24 scale Revell Land Rover Series lll 109 model kit...
Came out pretty decently I think.

Cool
3. WHen they made a DAMNED Volvo a clone of a Land Rover, they seriously damaged the ROVER NAME. Such damages can be worth BILLIONS.
For a serious off roader you need a Lada Niva!
HAHAHA. You should add "and seriously Luxurious" too! Don't be shy.
It is certainly a better option than a Bro-mobile.
