Leaving this here in 2023 just to say hi to the legends either joining this chanel or are long time supporters like myself! Came back to this video because its one of the first I remember watching of this chanel! Crazy how far its come in just over 6 years!
The editing in this video was super annoying...That stutter bro. You can't even see how the helmets really look. The art is supposed to be the helmet not the video.
Ma Boi Nolan 😀 Sending Where I Need To Be !!! This one really Hit hard as i am a vintage - modern Race enthusiast. I have to ask if theres more like this gem of a video! Thanks Donut team! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I usually have to watch ur evolution videos 2 times First time to pause and read all the facts 2nd time just to watch the editing and enjoy the vid good job on this one can we do the corvettes next ? Also I'm surprised you guys didn't include the most famous helmet of modern times "The Stigs"
Yeah the edit was a tad quick but personally, I enjoyed the edits. Found it actually highlighted the changes over time as apposed to focusing on each design alone.
Great vídeo, but in the pilot's helmet list many drivers had their names written wrongly. Some corrections:1987 - Bobby Rahal1991 - Nigel Mansell1992 - Scott Pruett1993 - Jacques Villeneuve1995 - Maurício Gugelmin1996 - Emerson Fittipaldi2000 - Jarno Trulli2000 - Cristiano da Matta2001 - Gil de Ferran2010 - Hélio Castroneves
Hey doughnut I would like some help finding that song in this video I have looked on the link for the artist but I can’t find the exact song so can you please tell me what the song is thank you
I have found the following facts: first driver who wore full face helmet - Dan Gurney at 1968 German GP. Last driver who wore open face helmet - Leo Kinnunen at 1974 Swedish GP. First GP winner who wore full face helmet - Graham Hill at 1969 Monaco GP. Last winner who wore open face helmet - Clay Regazzoni at 1970 Italian GP. Source: @t
If people are pausing your videos when watching them that should tell you that your editing needs reworking, frustrating because it ruins a good video otherwise.
Interesting idea but, like many others who have commented, I had difficulty concentrating on the information, particularly trying to look at both sides of the screen to read the innovations listed on the left and the year on the right. Why not keep them both on the same side? I would have preferred a longer video with someone explaining about the innovations, rather than trying to concentrate on the written information and also dealing with the annoying disco music (terrible choice), and actually seeing the helmets properly instead of them flickering throughout the presentation. A good idea spoilt by trying to appeal to the disco set - leave the music to MTV; concentrate on the mechanical technology - well, that's what I watched it for; not the music! Thanks anyway Donut Media! BTW, I liked the list of helmets used in the description!
Who made this video? Can't read text from right side (Model Year) to left side (information about innovation's). I don't want make pause everytime to read info
Too slick, pretty good concept but slow it down so you can actually see the helmets rather than making it stylized to hold the attention of a 12-year-old. And I personally would rather hear a voice over of who owned a particular helmet than dance music...
You guys are the most talented CARFILM maker ever! Hope you guys has some sticker that I can purchase. (And I will not tell you I don't common a lot (X . X ))
Ok, so about that editing. It keeps the dynamic, since the helmet topic can be boring, they made it short and fast so everyone would focus on the video. Of course for a lot of people it will be too fast, but for me it is fast but not that fast so I couldn't get the detail
Its pretty great how i remember watching this when it came out 3 years ago. Really shows the quality a lot of these vids have!
Senna's helmet still my favorite
Honestly, I really like Jenson Button’s 2015 helmet.
Agree
Where is Senna's helmet appearing?
Agree

True. So much so that I painted my hockey helmet in the Senna-Brazil livery
Yes, great content, but heck, the editing is so fast I could barely keep up. Please please please slow down.
Is racing and in racing you gotta go fast

The stig's helmet is probably very difficult to get a hold of
+J4999 not really its a Simpsons diamondback it's like a 700 helmet
+Mike Arredondo oh my bad, I thought you meant the actual helmet he uses
+J4999 lmao that be impossible to get off man he showers and sleeps with it on
I wish Donut made more of these
Yeah the edit was a tad quick but personally, I enjoyed the edits. Found it actually highlighted the changes over time as apposed to focusing on each design alone.
Guys. Your edits are top notch. How long does it take to cut this thing? Seems like a lot of work...
+Anhur Drift definitely was a lot of work, at least 2 full days, but well worth it!!
I'm rocking the 1967 look!
Such high quality videos, can't believe you only have 37,000 subs 😥
I love the way Tony Stewart and AJ Foyt's helmets are together. Two generations of drivers if you know what I mean.
Beautiful, Loved the editing!
Binoy John Are you serious
Well, is it supposed to be a showdown of the helmet evolution or a techno videoclip? Great idea but a bit overpushed with the effects.
This channel is going to blow up. Awesome content.

Just love these vids! Perfect combo of visuals and music. Thanks!

music selection is great for these types of videos
Absolutely love that 1981 design. Very cool! :)
Really great editing style to the beat.
Looks like the videos some people makes on the evolution of fashion. But with helmets.
I approve.

I love your edition!
Woah, i just saw the words 'Dan Wheldon' on one of the helmets and got chills.
where do you find thoose helmet?... magic video!
this was a dope video
If people are pausing your videos when watching them that should tell you that your editing needs reworking, frustrating because it ruins a good video otherwise.
Hard to look at the helmets. Stuck to just watch the left hand side for text, but still the pacing was a bit too quick.

Nolan told me today to check this out
Name of the song in video? Can't seem to find it on the Soundcloud page.
Tory Lanez (Insightful Fondle) thats the song name
Best Editing
Is there a name for the style of the 1981 helmet? I’m looking for a new one and I like the look
Who made this video? Can't read text from right side (Model Year) to left side (information about innovation's). I don't want make pause everytime to read info
How do u make vids like this plz help
0:57 he's not the stig, but he is the stig's 80s cousin
Music?
+Donut Media what is the song called also great videos
Nice video! Also I have epilepsy now
Well done!
The one at 0:30 looks should have said developed by LEGO XD
Too slick, pretty good concept but slow it down so you can actually see the helmets rather than making it stylized to hold the attention of a 12-year-old. And I personally would rather hear a voice over of who owned a particular helmet than dance music...
Zephyx The editing sucks ass if the actual watcher of the video has to change the speed dumbass
You guys are the most talented CARFILM maker ever! Hope you guys has some sticker that I can purchase. (And I will not tell you I don't common a lot (X . X ))
I like your videos. Alot.
0:23 the best looking BY FAR!
i like it pretty much, tho the athmosphere is pretty good, its like get you back in the days when the exact helmet is made
What is the shoulder neck thing they where now, in 2022?
thats the HANS it helps a driver in an crash for there head
HANS = Head and neck support
Quality video
Still THAT HERA PHERI BLACK HEMLET scene is extremely funny
The " early helmet restraint " are actually a hook Just for the communication cables place on the helmet don't hang on drivers shoulder.
first donut video i saw
Hey!!!! Were is Senna's helemet? I didn't see it....
Forgive me but why was there no NASCAR helmets included in this video? Love what you guys do though keep up the great work 👍
Why some of them has a duct tape on top of the visor? Does it intentional?
Where do you get this stuff?
Which song though?
1:55 JB!
My question here is how have all those helmets?
At 0:43 who is that helmet??
Mark Donohue
Thank you!!!
What is this song? It's my new favorite.
Nice editing, cant even look at the helmets.
were did you got the song pls reply to me cause i like it and your vid
Ok, so about that editing. It keeps the dynamic, since the helmet topic can be boring, they made it short and fast so everyone would focus on the video. Of course for a lot of people it will be too fast, but for me it is fast but not that fast so I couldn't get the detail
Who’s helmet is the one at 1:32
If i'm not mistaken it’s from Jacque Villeneuve the 1997 F1 World Champion
It's been a while, but what on earth is the music called? I know the artist, but what's the title?
This was very cool
I don't know why, but the 1979 one really creeps me out.
First one was so safety
You're good at editing in the popular way, but terrible at actually showing information.
The first one was very lit.
Anyone knows the name of this song?
this was awesome
Can I get the name of the song?
And tua senna's helmet?
An outdated racing helmet has a headphone jack which an iPhone X doesn't 😂😂😂
but why only 36k subs?
+Charles Graham tell your friends!!
Wow from a cloth cap to a hardened full face air injection helmet
1:46 RIP Daniel Wheldon.
