I work at a pediatric dentist office and let me tell you this is a good visit. It typically doesn't go just like this though. There's usually plenty of plaque, calculus, or stain to scale off the kids' teeth. As much as I'd like to say all we do is polish, kids have similar needs to adults' needs. Plus you usually are coping with active, talking, crying, screaming, complaining patients so trying to clean the teeth like you would an older patient is always a fun challenge but nevertheless I'm always up for it.

This dentist is so nice! I went to a dentist once and she said my teeth were the worse she had ever seen and I have really good teeth
I’m glad everything went good and she’s happy! I’m 13 and my first experience was traumatic, they held me down and gave me medication to sleep and it didn’t work and then gave me shots. I am so scared of the dentist
There is no need to be scared, dentists have evolved a lot in such a short time : )

Ideally the first dental visit should be at the baby’s 1st birthday (first year). This allows the child to be familiar with the dental clinic environment early on and lower the chances or rejection or God forbid psychological trauma to the child. Nonetheless, the dentist or hygienist did a great job explaining and presenting everything to both the mom and the child. Healthy teeth forever yayy 👶🏻 🍼

There has only been carping on something:
--The video only showed the hygienist clean the bottom teeth. Did the upper dentition been neglected ?
- When the hygienist performed radiographic examination, her hands with gloves touch the cone , the child’s mouth , and back to the cone. The main concern is cross-contamination.
However, it’s long time ago. I believe the protection for the staffs and patients should have been improved.
im 7 years old and i went to the dentist today my tooth were rotten the cleaned my bottom tooth but my top teeth were damaged they had to crack them with a needle it was so painnful that i cried😭😭😭now my back teeth teeth up top has holes in it
i'm training to be a dental assistant and you really don't want to have patients close on the suction, it can cause the stuff from the tube to come back into your mouth when you close on it

I swear the last time i was at a dentist was when i was 8 and now i'm 16, The doctor was a she and she was so rude she didn't know how to behave with a kid. i was so frighten that i never visited a dentist anymore. It's time to go now tho and respect for that dentist in the video

I have been to the dentist like som many times I can't even count! I got two fillings and I'm only 11, I got both two or three years ago. That is why you brush you teeth and doesn't eat to many sweets and drink sodas!
Here is a story: my sister told me that her friend has gone to the dentist, he doestn't really brush his teeth all that much. When he came back he told my sister, he had 38 holes. 38 holes!!! (he is 19 years old)

They give you an anesthetic to numb your teeth ,and from there you close your eyes and let the dentist do their work ,doesn't hurt at all

We just visited the dentist for the first time with my 2 yo...he hated it! They held him down and cleaned his teeth, until I came in and stopped the procedure. Seemed very traumatic for him
my dentist does not say words like that like mr thirsty and there we go she does more painful stuff and when were done she says hop off the chair and she wiped off my tears she let me drink some water and rinse some out

Me my first time I went the dentist thought I fell asleep even though I didn't have any sadation that was the first one I remember
Wow this dental hygienist is very amazing very informative and always communicating with a child so there were never any surprises. She is just like my hygienist even me as an adult I don't like surprises I get nervous at the dentist but my hygienist always knows how to make my experience Pleasant my hygienist will also put on some of my favorite music the dental assistants at my dentist office also very excellent one in particular she likes to sing and dance which also makes my visit even better.
