My grandparents loved listening to John Philip Sousa IN PERSON ! ! ! When Grandma died, we played the STARS and STRIPES in the church balcony and exited in parade out into the yard. It was a HOOT ! My dad, ALSO a minister, led the BEST funerals - jokes, stories, laughing and memories. I came here to get JACKED before house cleaning.

When I was a young kid going to school, my late mother would barge into our bedroom (shared with my elder brother) at around 6:00am and bring along a portable National-brand radio. She would then turn it on to the local radio station (in Malaysia we call it RTM for Radio-Television Malaysia) where the broadcast has just begun for the day. And typically, every morning, it would be Sousa's marching music. For years, they drove me nuts and I would remember Sousa's music with dread in my heart! But that was in the 60s. Looking back, now that I'm 62 years old, listening to the marching music brings back fond memories of my loving mother whose duty and responsibility in bringing us up with my late father can only stir my heart with gratefulness and love.

You know, there was a time in my youth when I took my father's word a little to seriously, and he is decidedly in the camp that passes condescending comments on sousa- and while there are a few gems out there like Verdi's Marcia Trionfale, and the French Foreign Legion's Boudin, I've frankly come to appreciate Sousa as bringing a fresh breath to the military march- Much more musical than so many other traditions. The German marches all tend to sound alike and quite militaristic (which I suppose is par for the course), the British are quite good but again they all seem to be quite similar... Am I mistaken? Sousa seems to just have a bit more variety.
And also we hammered the Germans into the ground. Which... there's that.

Then expose the corrupt government which has hijacked this nation, turning this once great land into the current police state that it is. The NWO is un-American & doesn’t have the best interest of the people in mind. Our rights are Incrementally being legislated away every day, by the very people we’ve trusted to protect them.

I know you probably mean well & I hope someday you’ll understand, if you’re disillusioned with the right vs left paradigm, you’ll continue to be just that, disillusioned. They’re two different wings on the same bird. By giving faith or support to either one, is giving your consent for this insanity to continue. Here’s an interesting story that may help clarify what I’m saying. I think you should give it a listen to & wish you well.
