Thank you for the advice. It took me a long time to finally realize I’m not okay. I was denied service connected for tinnitus even after being hit by an IED and struck by lightning on active duty. After 10 years I’m trying again.
What does it cost? I’m at 87% and have migraines all the time, have to call in to work at least once every month I feel like I need help to get that last bit
Thanks for your time and videos...help me a lot for understand the process...I got 50% percent and reach the 100% your información is clear and easy to understand...thanks
This video is really convenient and right on time. I submitted a migraine claim a month ago and still waiting for my C&P exam. I have it listed twice in my medical records that I have migraines upward of 48 hours at a time. I had a real violent attack 48 hours before I got married last month where I took 4 migraine pills and it would not go away. I couldn't sleep it off and I threw up every hour while I was trying to lay down.
I get 3-5 per week on average lasting 6-9 hours a day along with vertigo, I haven’t been able to hold a job in a year or so because of this. Very frustrating
@@vaclaimsacademy Well, during my C&P exam for Migraines, the examinator said she would NOT look at my personal statement, buddy letter from my wife, or a copy of my 6 months of Migraine Log showing upwards of 4 migraines per month and that I had to leave work, go home and lie down in bed with black curtains covering my windows, and the migraine would last upwards of 4-6 hours. My personal statement listed all the times I had to leave work and the economic hardship it caused, but again, she would not look at my evidence and told me to ONLY answer her questions with a Yes or No. So, guess what, I was denied for migraines because she would NOT allow me to show her my evidence. How should I proceed to fight this BAD C&P exam? Thanks
Question will I need to goto a private doctor to obtain a medical analysis regarding my headaches prior to filing a claim because I don’t have any medical record of headaches during my military service?
I'm going in locked and loaded. I'm lucky because I have a powerful mil med record. My SGT told me to just "suck it up butter cup". I felt like smacking him. He had no clue how sever my headaches were. If you don't have med records, then YES get a private doctor.

4 times a month? LOL I have constant migraines. I recently went to my ves. dr was shocked at the meds i was taking for my migraines. one is over $700 a month compliments of the va
I have these headaches every day.. the VA wants to do an eye check.. I asked her if it's my eyes why do my sinuses burn and there is swelling under the eyes and below the ears.. she just looked at me.. there is something wrong with my sinuses.. allergy pills don't really work for sinuses and damn sure don't help for the headaches
Are there such things as “Secondary claims” when your submitting a BDD claim prior to retiring from Active Duty? Or are “secondary claims” only when attempting to service connect something down the road??
I’m seeing more and more that migraines secondary to tinnitus are getting denied outright. It scares me because this is exactly what I’m filing for and it does cause my headaches which almost always increase to migraines. If I get denied I will lose my shit
@@ThaMime973 I am also filing for mental health Major depressive/Anxiety. Is it a factor? Absolutely but I would say my tinnitus causes them way more because of the constant ringing in my ear both high and low pitch. So filing for mental health would not be accurate enough
@@Ballerboithaone1 I've seen this a thousand times. You file it (hopefully) in an honest way, not just to pick and choose and change things according to how you may win. This is how people get labeled "malingerer". The good news is, if you can be patient enough to actually get your mental health rating, you can word it in a way that you cover both bases. I am 50% migraines, no in-person exam, the records exam scheduled 3 weeks out was completed in under a week.
@@eQuariuz this is why I mentioned above about why I’m filing it secondary to tinnitus rather than utilizing mental health. I do not believe my mental health is the most triggering factor to my headaches and migraines. That is why I am not filing that way. I am doing it based on what affects me the most.
Such a smart question. Maybe you are selling things on eBay, maybe you have a side hustle, or perhaps someone in your household has to stay home from work to help take care of you during an attack. Or perhaps it has affected your productivity, potentially making you promote slower
I had my exam for headaches and now they have scheduled me for a behavioral health exam. I dont belive i have any evidence for that exam. What should i do?
You may need to see another doctor because technically the number of headaches you get in a month can mean and be diagnosed as chronic migraines. Many doctors, especially primary care physicians don't know this. Neurologists should. Additionally, migraines are exclusively unilateral, meaning only on one side of the head or location. They can be bilateral too. So your primary care doctor may think they aren't migraines simply because you have pain unilaterally.
In regards to the personal statement of migraines secondary to ptsd, do I also have to include/start with how the symptoms of my ptsd is the cause of my migraines or just strictly discuss the 4 areas you mentioned?
Thos is perfect... should we submit the original medical diagnosis pf headaches/migraines with the request for increase as well as the personal statement? Or is ot not necessaey becaise we already have a rating?
I would submit all medical records in relation to the migraines (especially recent ones) and your personal statement. Feel free to do a migraine log going back 2 months if you like too
Great question here! Does the lack of upkeep have an affect on property value? Almost certainly. That’s unrealized losses of your asset. Hope this helps get some ideas going 🫡
