Great looking table. I built one for my Weber Kettle... and it took about a month and half for it to take off... and when it did.. wow... it's the most viewed video on my channel. Good luck with it.
I'm gonna be making something for the KJ junior and thought about using something like stainless steel for the top so that I can put hot stuff on it if needed. I'm wondering what height should the grill be, but I guess it depends on height if me, and be able comfortably flip the meat etc.
the stainless is nice for having some heat proof surface to work with and if you keep it clean it looks sharp. depending on your exposure to the sun the reflection can be hard on the eyes if out in the open
Great video! I’m looking at doing a covered area for my kamado joe and was considering a wooden structure with roof so I can cook in the rain. I looked at kamado joe specs and they state you need a gap of 10 feet between the grill and the roof cover, I’m guessing because of the heat on a burn clean. Do you have any tips or advice on a roof structure?
I was so excited to learn how to replicate this table after watching most of your videos. But the video was a sped up clip of you joining items and saying what tools were used.
Mike Castaneda ya don’t know. I’ve done several cedar tables and they need to be refinished after a few years. The concrete is a first but I suspect it will be more durable that a wood top which I’ve found weather the most
James really good advice. You went all out with the biscuits and joinery. Even though I had to buy them individually, I used 5” construction screws when joining a 4x4 to anything else and that saved a lot of time.
