As the flowers bloomed this April spring, BigBang and VIPs have finally reunited with “Still Life”. As the melody plays and Taeyang starts to sing, our throat start to swell up, our eyes start to water and eventually had a full face of tears. A song for them, a song for us. A song about LIFE. The ups and the downs. The good and the bad. The way life moves and changes just like seasons do. Without even knowing our youth flashed before our eyes. So many feeling come up you almost forget this was how it felt being their fan of 14 years. BigBang is the epitome of our youth.
This song is special in so many ways it’s hard to actually explain. It’s bittersweet for one but you can’t help but feel a sense of happiness for them as they embark on this new chapter in their lives. This is not the end but just a new beginning and we can only wish them pure happiness. It is BigBang after all, only great things will come as long as we choose to continue on this beautiful Flower Road.
To create great music is one thing, but to create great music that has impact and emotional connection at large is another. BigBang was built different from the beginning. At least for us they were. Judge them all you want but they broke the mold of what it is to be a K-POP “Idol” or “idol group”. They always set themselves to be different from others. To be “one of a kind” as GD would say. BigBang explored their talents and brought Kpop to where it is today. They helped shape the Kpop industry while in their truest form, in their own way and their own unintentional trends. I mean who knew writing and producing your own music would make such a difference? Whole knew airport fashion would be a thing until G-Dragon started walking in wearing designer clothes? Who knew every K-pop group would now have lightsticks just because BigBang(or Gdragon) designed “Bang Bong” for their fan base? Yes, BigBang not only made great music they impacted a whole generation and set trends that new groups and fans nowadays follow and probably don’t even know it.
The standard of what it is to be a great K-pop artist in the K-pop industry today has changed tremendously as it is hugely influenced and defined by the competition of numbers and visuals. It is a business after all but in all of that we tend to lose the true celebration of what is music. What is great artistry and what/who it impacts. So when an older group like BigBang comes back with new music, of course they’re going to make an impact even without any promotions because this is a representation of their camaraderie, their art and creativity as well as a dedication to their beloved fans, VIPs, who are going to be right there with them in riding that impact (BigBang just raised us that way). We’re always here supporting them because we come from a generation that was all about celebrating them and their music. Not views or likes or votes. Those things are just an added bonus.

Im a VIP too.. at first watch i didn't cry coz i was appreciating the mv, their faces and their voices... And second watch, i go through the lyrics of the song it so heavy and i realized everything has a meaning and i literally bawling at 12 am. I became a VIP in late 2012 during their Alive era but could never really express my love for their music to anyone.

This is their last song. Did you noticed the message big bang mentioned at the end of the video? There are 4 chairs stand for the 4 members. Only GD’s chair highlighted up, which means GD is the only 1 remaining and continuing to go on this journey

Started following bigbang when i first stumbled upon GD’s heartbreaker mv by chance back in 2009 and now i cant help but cry cause time flew so fast. Cant believe they’re back and i pray they’ll stay longer as a group VIP4life 👑
i’m a blink and after i got into blackpink, i discovered bigbang. little did i know that most of the songs i listened to growing up are bigbang’s songs. even though i didn’t witness them grow and support them from the start, the song still makes me feel like i’ve been a fan for years. i hope there’s more comeback from them that i can look forward to.
The Korean song title "봄여름가을겨울" means spring, summer, autumn and winter and the lyrics are about the four seasons. In the MV, the four sons of BIGBANG were shot separately in 4 scenes.
Just like the four seasons can't get together.
