I read somewhere? Is this a sarcasm? If anything, he DID invent the term "Stan" as someone who is a die hard fan of a famous person, which in Eminem's song is a fan of Em himself, and ended up killing himself because Eminem couldn't meet Stan's expectations. You should listen to it.
Eminem was not really looked down upon, he came under Dr.Dre and Dre was respect enough so that people would look at Em for what it was .. different from the black rappers, but very good at what he was doing .. and gain respect quite fast as he put out another hit and another...
He was looked down upon mostly for being white not about being poor, people that were close to Dre told him not to sign him thinking a white rapper wouldn't make it far and now that he is the goat they turn that on its head and say he only got success because he is white.
Eminem literally raps about how he was looked down on because of the color of his skin when he entered the rap game. *Dr. Dre - I Need a Doctor* [Verse 2: Eminem] It was you who believed in me when everyone was tellin' you Don't sign me, everyone at the fuckin' label, let's tell the truth You risked your career for me, I know it as well as you Nobody wanted to fuck with the white boy Dre, I'm cryin' in this booth
I absolutely love Eminem. So incredibly talented. He's also from Detroit, Michigan, which is just across from my hometown (Windsor, Ontario, Canada). Watching his music videos is like watching a little bit of home. I remember when "The Real Slim Shady" came out. It was during the summer I was in grade 12. Lots of really great memories from his music. Love watching your videos :)
Y'all should do a part 2 with some if his serious songs when he was younger. He was kinda forced to do those silly songs in the beginning so people would play it on the radio and he didn't like how silly they sounded
Now can y’all show Black rappers or artist from the 90s.Like to just show them a different side of black artist😭.Y’all always wanna show them nicki Minaj or artist of her nature. How about some SZA or Brent Faiyaz 💀.
Yeah, it drives me insane when they show a blk rapper or hip hop artist, they always show the most degenerate out there. But there are so many great hip hop and rap artists both male and female from the 80’s and 90’s they can show as well. I would say that most of the rap and hip hop from today is not even representative of what actual hip hop and rap is. They need to see more originality and authenticity of true blk american culture and what is was before all this cesspool of what they claim to be blk american culture and the music to be.
The boy with the green jacket and slit in the eye-brow always seem so focused on surface level things, it about looks and how cool someone or the MV's look for him as if that is the most important and then he misses the lyrics and meaning of the music and real character of the artist. I hope he grows up to be less shallow than now when he becomes an adult. And to appreciate real artists and music you need to look a little deeper and actually pay attention to what they are saying (lyrics) and to interpret what they actually are trying to say.
Tbh if your mother language is not English you get used to listening to music where you don't understand a word. I liked a couple of Eminem songs in my teen years because of the music base and because of the sound of his voice, and now I'm an adult so I appriciate the lessons and messages in his music too.
Interestingly enough, I was always curious how fans in other countries looked at rap music lol it’s cool to know that some actually have a lot of knowledge on Eminem ✨👍✨
Would love to see a part 2 of Eminem reaction, please! Though the songs picked were good, I think you can go deeper into his characters as Em VS Slim Shady if you take a look at his other songs (especially Monster). Cleaning Out My Closet - his relationship with his mother Mockingbird - song dedicated to his daughter, Hailey Stan - song he dedicated to his fans who have become "Stans" (stalker + fan) When I'm Gone- song when he was deep in drug addiction and he thought he would not recover Toy Soldiers - song he dedicated to when the rap culture became to violent and he asked both sides to stop I'm Not Afraid - song about his recovery from drug addiction and dedicating to those who are also wanting to be sober I Need A Doctor - song he worked with Dr. Dre (his mentor and soul brother) during Dre's darkest time Monster - song he dedicated to his alter ego Slim Shady explaining how Slim Shady helped him with his career as a rapper but it also ruined some of his personal life Love The Way You Lie - song where he tries to express how it feels to be in a toxic relationship (his relationship with his wife and Rihanna's relationship with his abusive ex-boyfriend)
Eminem's "Lose Yourself" have won the Best Original Song & the Best Rap Solo Performance Awards & Eminem could not be at the 75th Academy Awards himself because he was sure he wasn't going to win. "Lose Yourself" was produce by Luis Resto, Jeff Bass & Eminem himself. Eminem has make a shocking surprise return at the 92nd Academy Awards 4 years ago on February 10th 2020 & perform "Lose Yourself" in front of Billie Eilish, Finneas O'Connell, Idina Menzel, Kelly Marie Tran, Brie Larson, Martin Scorsese, Gal Gadot, Joaquin Phoenix, Leonardo DiCaprio, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt & other Hollywood Stars. Eminem has explain in an interview at that time why he could not be at the 75th Academy Awards with Variety & I quote: Back then, I by no means even concept that I had an opportunity to win, and we had simply performed ‘Lose Yourself’ on the Grammys with the Roots a couple of weeks sooner than the Oscars, so we didn’t think it was a good idea. And also, again at the moment, the more youthful me didn’t really really feel like a display like that might understand me. Hope you guys like my full explanation. Love you Korea. God bless Korea.
Do you really need to ask? hes globally recognised, one of the most famous people on the planet and generates views. Not entirely sure why this is a shock to anybody unless you are really really young and have no idea the impact this guy had on the world and hip hop
Great reaction. Only thing I wouldn't agree with is him being the 1st to do some of the things stated in this video. Maybe the 1st artist you are personally exposed to doing those things but definitely not the 1st ever. Other countries are usually exposed to the mainstream music unless you're a person that likes to take a deep dive into the culture. I'm sure this also happens the other way around. I'm a Detroit native and a fan of Eminem before he was well known. Hip-hop is a culture and is better understood by those living within that culture. Enjoy the music for whatever meaning it has for you and not just for the popularity it has gained.
Hey bro, there's an Indonesian version of Eminem, can you react to it, I guarantee you won't be disappointed. The title of the song is RAP MONSTER RHOSY SNAP please
For more black artist maybe you can react to Aaliyah, Kendrick Lamar, Rae Sremmurd, Ne-Yo, Usher, TLC, SZA, Jhenné Aiko, Big Sean (the one is Ariana Grande MV), Franck Ocean, Aminé, Ciara, Alicia Keys, Normani, PARTYNEXTDOOR, DaBaby, Cassie…
I read somewhere that Eminem invented the word "stan" and it is still used today
Yup, from his famous song Stan. Feat dido. Stan is the name of Ems. Obsessed fan. Who commits sui**de in the MV.
Idk I think there's before Eminem, but for sure Eminem made it famous
I read somewhere? Is this a sarcasm? If anything, he DID invent the term "Stan" as someone who is a die hard fan of a famous person, which in Eminem's song is a fan of Em himself, and ended up killing himself because Eminem couldn't meet Stan's expectations. You should listen to it.
He did, first rapper to get a new word into the dictionary.
@@Yen_7777 Nope, the use of the word in reference to a crazy fan comes from Eminem.
Mockingbird and Stan should've been included here. Two of his best works.
Awesome picks
They don't understand English tho , so it wouldn't have created much of an impact
@@dolkaryangkyi9797 Plenty of subtitled versions
It's about the Music Videos (MV) though, both of them are great songs but the videos aren't much of a watch.
Also Rap God and Godzilla
Eminem was not really looked down upon, he came under Dr.Dre and Dre was respect enough so that people would look at Em for what it was .. different from the black rappers, but very good at what he was doing .. and gain respect quite fast as he put out another hit and another...
You're eminem?
He was looked down upon mostly for being white not about being poor, people that were close to Dre told him not to sign him thinking a white rapper wouldn't make it far and now that he is the goat they turn that on its head and say he only got success because he is white.
Eminem literally raps about how he was looked down on because of the color of his skin when he entered the rap game.
*Dr. Dre - I Need a Doctor*

Ur dumb? @@zeusc2199
@@crybaby4630yeah exactly, maybe they forgot those parts
I wanted to see their reactions to Mockingbird 😭😭😭
Same!
Nah they won't understand shit , what they prefer is only video part , why do u think kpop is famous?
Shame you didn't show them the fast part of Eminem's Rap God
Its not the fast part there is another spng with Nicki minaj have the fast part
@@hemilki6159 what song?
@@hemilki6159you forgot godzilla??
noo they should have shown stan, or sing for the moment or something like that
Do you really think that rap GOD is the fastest?
Hahahaha you should see Godzilla, Majesty, LUCKY YOU, SPEEDOM and killer.
Should have shown them songs like mockingbird with lyrics. That really starts to show the range he had.
koreans really love to hear themselves talk.
?
There were plenty of rappers who weren't focused on toughness or coolness. Who was nerdy, humorous, etc
yeah, vanilla ice, beastie boys, many

*Eminem is THE GOAT 🐐! I can’t wait for his new album that’s dropping this year* 😩
Seriously? OMG and i was thinking how to pass my time untill BTS comes back. I am a fan of both all the rest artists i casually listen to
Y'all should do a part 2 with some if his serious songs when he was younger. He was kinda forced to do those silly songs in the beginning so people would play it on the radio and he didn't like how silly they sounded
I heard my knees pop and crack after that guy said "it's like webtoon" 😭
They should have focused more on the lyrics but I’m
Sure they wouldn’t understand bcs they don’t know the meaning
