What a bright, perceptive question you asked: "I wonder how many ppl have stepped on that one stone, like seriously?"! It's rare for ppl of any age to consider the past like that - thinking beyond the usual here & now. Good for you! So many different talents. You're amazin'!
I love 'Barney' not just the castle but the whole town and art/museum but as the buses don't go from where I live I was glad t see you vid and presumes mum's added detail. Great stuff. A trip down memory lane. Well done and all enhanced by your bubbling enthusiasm! Tony🥲

A lovely video as always, well done Matilda 😀 It's been a long time since I've visited Barnard Castle but always remain staggered how these structures have remained Also great to hear your mum giving some extra information
Hi Matilda. I just love old castles, especially old ruined castles. Every time I visit old castle ruins, I take a good look around, read all the information and history boards. I then close my eyes and picture the castle in it's glory days all those centuries ago. I imagine all of those battles that took place and the fine banquets they used to hold. Can you just imagine what it would be like living in those days. (no mobile phones then) The round tower room was my favourite part of your Barnard Castle video. So cool. Hats off to your Mum for the background commentary. Oh yeah Matilda, just to let you know, I told my Google assistant home mini device to remind me of the new 'Good Buy' antiques show on yours and David Harper's UA-cam Channel on Sunday night at 8.00 pm so I do not forget. Video trailer was great. So excited and cannot wait to see you and David Harper having lots off banter. But Matilda, you know what the $64,000 dollar question is don't you. 'Did Matilda River Walden make David Harper an antiques profit'. Were all dying to find out.
@@deanknows2024 Yes I do that, just sit and ponder. I’m really looking forward to tonight also, it was great making it. You’ll have to wait and see 😂😂😂 if I’m an antiques dealer now 😂 #goodbuy
The castle was built in the 11th century by the Balliol family. The castle passed down through the Balliol family (of which the Scottish king, John Balliol, was the most important member) and then into the possession of Richard Neville, Earl of Warwick. King Richard III inherited it through his wife, Anne Neville, but it fell into ruins in the century after his death...Excellent video Matilda!🌹
