Sheesh, I mean I haven't followed Hans or seen his content much but after those comments: absolutely zero respect for this kid. He's got a lot of growing up to do. A LOT.
Once a cheater always a cheater, the fact that a fraudster is allowed to play with the players who follow the rules is a big mistake. If there's no punishment for cheating, the risk/reward shifts and it encourages more people to try and do the same. Magnus was right not to play against him, the rest of the players should do the same.
The punishment is getting put in a position where you have to play your betters in tournaments where they make it well nigh on impossible for you to cheat. My own theory is that Hans spent the time when he still had sufficient neuroplasticity to perform the work required to become the best cheating instead. Now he will have to live with that for the rest of his life.
If we don't allow him to play he'll always be able to say he wasn't allowed to play because he was too good.... there would also be the chance (however slim) that he could actually become the best and we'll miss it...
@@someoneelse293 That reasoning would apply to other cheaters as well. So no punishment for cheaters, because the might use it for bragging and we might miss out on a genius. Let your chess do the talking Hans. Oh wait.....He truly thinks everyone dislikes him because he is made out to be the bad guy or a cheater. Reality is he cant see past his own delusions and ego.
