I my opinion why would we try to beat the Market I think we should follow the market we should invest a part of our portfolio in index funds and the rest direct into stocks in this way we diversify our portfolio in low and high risk assets ...index funds don't try to bet the market but to mimic the market and market allows go upward in the long run hence I think is the safest investment class
@@WaliKhan_2k please discuss in that video about how to calculate the investment profit when invested in index funds ...for example the KMI30 was around 25244 points in 2012 now it's around 70 thousands points then how much profit we make now if we invest like 1 lac in 2012 ??
I agree Tauseeq. These mutual funds charged hefty annual fees plus front load fees. 2 to 3 % annual management fees directly does not sound a lot but if you see in long run let's say 15 years it is around 30-45%. Moreover, the opportunity you loose on the 30-45% in terms of compounding that is in additional to it. The index fund or as it simply called exchange traded fund (ETF's) is much better option if you just have to invest in stock market. The mutual fund makes more sense let's say if you want to invest in some ratio e.g. 50-50% in bonds and stocks otherwise ETF's with 0.5% annual fees and no front load fees is considerably much cheaper.
