saxonsteve- Jannick Gers has DEFINITELY put a stain on the legacy of Iron Maiden. They ABSOLUTELY did not need a 3rd “six-string” guitarist. Gers joining the band was a “condition” by Dickinson of his rejoining, which should have been unequivocally refused by the band, ESPECIALLY Harris(such a discredit to Harris). Hell yes! A lot Dave’s best solos came from No Prayer thru Dance of Death. Since then, I’ve been a bit disappointed, but I feel like his solos during those times made up for the lack of quality songs then.

You would be surprised, the high end squiers ( $350 range) are actually super sweet guitars, I played one recently at a Guitar center and couldn't believe that it felt better than some of my much more expensive guitars.
Dave Murray is such a underrated guitar player, he may not be the most technically skilled player from that era but he has a unique, unmistakable style.🎸🤘🏼
There is no way a legitimate maiden fan would not like this video. Anyone giving you a thumbs down must be jealous of your skills . Let's hear some more !
There is no way anyone who has ever played the guitar dislike this. Absolutely brilliant performance. It takes thousands and thousands of hours practice to get to this level from scratch. I know what I’m saying, been learning the guitar for 1,5 years.
Nice job recreating Dave Murray's Clever Phrasing and unique style. Dave and Adrian have always been one of my favorite twin Lead Duos of all time mostly because of their Contrast in Styles and tone. Both Powerslave solos are amongst Dave's best!
I played in a Maiden tribute band for many years as Adrian Smith, do top 10 Adrian Smith solos, with my personal favourite of his solos, Stranger in a Strange Land. Pure poetry. You absolutely nailed it, Dave’s ultra fluid style is very hard to emulate, not for you apparently.🤘🎸🤘🎸. I love the pickup jumping you did, often overlooked, very few guitarists do that these days. It’s all bridge pickup, all gain, no dynamics 🤔. Awesome job 🤘🎸🤘🎸👍🍻.
Very much enjoyed this. Much is said of Adrian for good reason but Dave is a great guitar player who not many can emulate because of his finger strength that gives an almost liquid smoothness to his solos. You have come closest to that and thank you for taking the time to show us!
@jeff simmons That's a great call, a stunningly beautiful solo!! The answering solo to Adrian's equally magnificent work on Prodigal Son is a favourite too, it just seems to cut short way too early.
Really awesome and beautiful to hear! I grew up on Maiden and always loved Dave's solos (as well as Adrian's). I remember how happy I was when I saw their videos or concert footage, so I could learn which one played which. After that my ears for them individually got better and I began to tell them apart (most of the time). And I forgot how beautiful and melodic the solo to 22 Acacia Avenue was. Great job!

NeoGeofanatic What are you complaining about?? It’s not like the french are known for their hard rock/heavy metal background!! Food, Camembert and Bourgogne, and now football, that’s what you excel at!!
Ps: btw, Ilike what you do too!
Fortunato ok bit when I see an obviously gifted guy like you play in playback I think it's a little sad, even if it's a montage
NeoGeofanatic i understand your point and i'm sorry to hasnt pleased you. I'll make some more new videos with live play, ok?
thank you to coment my video, u’re an huge inspiration to me!
Hug please, be kind!
Well done great job! ... Dave Murray really powerful legato this guy!
That powerslave solo is just awesome...drool 🤤
Wow I'm blown away!!!!! Nice right hand work! Pickup switching and all....great job
Man I've gotta comment again on your playing, you are spot on man and are an amazing guitarist. I play myself but not even close to your technique and style, thank you very much.
you put so much emphasis on each note!! very well played!! i wonder how this could ever have dislikes
Very well done. Dave the second! I really like his style and I wished I could play like you. Must be amazing to play this solos!
Both Dave Murray and Adrien Smith made the band unique amongst all the other metal bands around at that time. They both have their own unique styles that complement each other beautifully. They created their own district sound between them which gave their songs a new level of meaning.
Judas Priest?
That's a badass Squier, great playing too!
amazing. DM is my favorite guitar player. you did such a good job.
Awesome job my friend, really impressed by how often you switch pickups and use all the dynamics of the guitar, keep up the great work!
wooooooow what a sick medley!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thank you for that!
like I always said, "is not the instrument, but the player" nice work mate, Dave's legato is pair to no one, sick legato tecnique.
I didn't notice how much of the 'sonic ice skating rink' ol' Davey did, until I saw it up close.
