Your consistent reading has DEFINITELY influenced me to start working through my bookshelf and I read TWO this month I've always loved reading so I'm making it more of a habit! Love your recs!
I think you'll enjoy Daisy Jones & The Six. It's also written by Taylor Jenkins Reid and done in an interview style. Daisy Jones is all about a '70s rock band and what happened to them between their rise and fall. The audiobook was especially great, but I'm sure the physical/ebook version works well too. I had started reading Empire of the Vampire for a readathon last month and got through the first chapter before I decided to replace it, because it way too long to finish for a readathon. I really loved the setup and what I had read so far. I want to get back to it eventually. It reminds me a bit of the Castlevania animated show on Netflix, especially with the whole vampire hunter aspect. I've been hearing about The Troop a lot lately and it's definitely on my TBR. I love when books have in-universe art. Brandon Sanderson does that for his Stormlight Archive series and it's always nice to see. One of the main characters is an artist, so you sometimes get her illustrations between chapters. Shout-out to Ben McSweeney and the Dragonsteel art team for those.
I loved hidden pictures so much, the drawings scared me so much like I would get shivers down my spine! I’ve just bought the troop as we have the same taste in horror ❤️
Seven Husbands is in my list of all time favorites for sure!!! Completely agree with your take on Frieda McFadden. I automatically distrust anyone who raves about her work.
Frieda McFadden works with people who have brain injuries. So she purposefully writes books that are easy to read for people who are dealing with those traumas so they can enjoy reading again.
I'm not a horror fan at all.. (I tend to feel spiritually disturbed 😅) but ngl, you made me curious about The Troop and Hidden Pictures. Thank you for the recommendations and relaxation!
Because you liked The Troop you should try Little Heaven. Also another great novel from Nick Cutter. Love these book review videos. I find they really let your personality shine through.
I just finished "the serpent and wings of night" and the second one. I almost didn't finish the first book, but I went to the end and read a bit (book crime, I know haha!) And it was good, so I wanted to see how they got there. The 2nd book was definitely better. I read it right after ACOTAR and was hoping it would help with my book hangover, but it definitely didn't. I'm reading "A court this cruel and lovely" right now and it is so much better than that set. Would definitely recommend for another romantasy series (complete series too)
for video suggestions: I loved your "spit painting" without the actual spit more like propless painting. Also anything propless (hair cutting, makeup, etc) you have the best hand sounds and hand movement. Thank you 💖 you are the best!💖
I agree with your take on Frieda McFadden!! I will say I think The Housemaid is slightly better than Never Lie, but her characters always fall so flat for me. We don’t really root for them because they have no personality 🤣 love these videos so much!
The 7 husbands of Evelyn Hugo to this day remains my all time favourite book. It was soooo intriguing and all round a beautiful story. I aspire to be as blunt as Evelyn 😂
Never lie was a huge let down for me too. Her housemaid series is very very good but I don’t really like any other books of hers. I think I’ve commented this a couple times now but begging you to read local woman missing!! I think about that book like once a day😂
The Nevernight Chronicles are my favorite books of all time. Currently rereading them for the 5th or 6th time. I highly recommend the audiobooks, if you aren't listening to them! I may have to check into Empire of the Vampire, huge Jay fan as well.
Do you write down all of your reviews for your books? Just curious how you keep track, for me I have a movie watchlist where I put a rating next to what I thought of it.
@@beezasmr That's a great idea I didn't think of that! I am not a reader but I love hearing your thoughts about these books, makes me interested in reading.
Completely agree with your opinion on the serpent and the wings of night! I didn’t even try reading the second and definitely glad I didn’t now. You should read the throne of glass series I devoured it and have such a book hangover from it
I love when you do these!! I read red rising and haven’t read golden son. I’ve been procrastinating. Is it worth the read? I think I remember you saying it wasn’t as good as red rising. I’m definitely going to read hidden pictures and seven husband of EH now! There’s a book called small things like these by Claire Keegan. Cillian Murphy is starring in the movie and I love him so I’m going to read it. It seems like such an interesting story!
Nick Cutter is one of my favorite authors! I'd highly recommend The Deep by him if you enjoyed his writing. It was significantly scarier than The Troop in my opinion, and features a lot of body horror.
I felt the same way when I tried to read Carissa Broudbent's other series Daughter of No Worlds, dnf as well. If you loved Acotar I'd recommend checking out The Cruel Prince (Folk of the air series) by Holly Black if you haven't already.
I love your book reviews. I do like Frieda, I think maybe you might’ve chose the wrong ones bc I LOVED the inmate. I think I like Frieda’s because of how many twists and turns she has. Hidden Pictures is definitely giving Insidious vibes lol
I liked this relaxing video. I once did lots of reading in books and magazines, but these days it's mostly reading on the Internet. The choo-choo train and NASCAR making an appearance in sound. Enjoy your day.🙂
I love your book reviews! It's my new favorite kind of ASMR. I also gave Never Lie 2 stars. It's the only Frieda McFadden book I've read, and I don't plan to read anymore. Just not my cup of tea.
Family & Friends or social media! Some I’ve come across on good reads too. My dad and brother & my best friend Maggie also read a lot so I get suggestions from them!
love your book review videos!! definitely continue doing these. If you want a good psychological/thriller book you should read His & hers by Alice Feeney.
Thanks for another great video! I see you’re a Detroit tigers and Lions fan. Tigers are doing pretty good for the playoffs I’m a Colorado Rockies fan so it hurts when they beat us lol 😂 Lions tigers oh my!
Yeah Brynne, I agree, the depth of writing and complexity of storylines has declined since earlier years of novels. Glad you we're able to pick out some diamonds in the rough. The way you describe the plot of each book is so intoxicatingly smooth and peaceful. I feel like it spirals my mind off into another world of tingly fantasy. 🧡🖤🤍🎃
Your consistent reading has DEFINITELY influenced me to start working through my bookshelf and I read TWO this month
I've always loved reading so I'm making it more of a habit! Love your recs!
Seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo was such a roller coaster of emotions 😭❤
Loved that book
I Love ur Books Reviews it’s like a thing I look forward to makes me wanna get back into reading ❤❤❤

YES!!!! Im SO glad you read hidden pictures!!!!!!! The pics in it were jump scares in the book which was sooo cool! I also FLEW through it
The rating and reviewing of books you've read lately is so relaxing to hear about!
I absolutely MUST know your makeup routine. You always look so fresh and pretty.
Frieda McFadden works with people who have brain injuries. So she purposefully writes books that are easy to read for people who are dealing with those traumas so they can enjoy reading again.
Where did you hear this from
I love booktuber Brynne❤❤❤❤ This was so entertaining and at the same time relaxing!
It's nice to see all the things you read. I really need to get back to reading more often
Oh my goodness, I'm more then halfway done with Never Lie and I love it so far. Can't wait to read Hidden Pictures!
"I know that's not everybody's vibe. Not everybody wants to be scared." That includes me 🤣. But I'm glad you enjoyed, "Hidden Pictures."
I was skeptical about the frieda mcfadden books, thanks for confirming 😂
You really should try them for yourself!!!
I absolutely loved The seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo and Hidden Pictures!
I'm not a horror fan at all.. (I tend to feel spiritually disturbed 😅) but ngl, you made me curious about The Troop and Hidden Pictures. Thank you for the recommendations and relaxation!
The Troop is pretty creepy and quite gory. I also want to read hidden pictures
Your creativity never fails to amaze me. Love the concepts you come up with.
Because you liked The Troop you should try Little Heaven. Also another great novel from Nick Cutter.
Love these book review videos. I find they really let your personality shine through.
I'm about halfway through The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and I'm loving it so far, what a rollercoaster!
I started reading Hidden Pictures yesterday because of your recommendation and omg jm hooked. It’s so good
i wish i could read like beez. she is inspiring
Cool shirt! I’m hoping the Tigers go far this year
I WON'T STOP RECOMMENDING 'HIDDEN PICTURES' & I'm so excited that you enjoyed it! It's one of my only 5 stars too!!
I AM OBSESSED WITH THESE VIDEOS please keep making them!!!
I just finished "the serpent and wings of night" and the second one. I almost didn't finish the first book, but I went to the end and read a bit (book crime, I know haha!) I think these are my favorite videos you make. On top of being very relaxing I just love hearing about books!😌
I agree with your take on Frieda McFadden!! I will say I think The Housemaid is slightly better than Never Lie, but her characters always fall so flat for me. We don’t really root for them because they have no personality 🤣 love these videos so much!
Lots of good reads there Brynne!!!! Happy Sunday Brynne!!
The 7 husbands of Evelyn Hugo to this day remains my all time favourite book. It was soooo intriguing and all round a beautiful story. I aspire to be as blunt as Evelyn 😂

Added to tbr!
Local Woman Missing was one of my favorite random book buys!
The Nevernight Chronicles are my favorite books of all time. Currently rereading them for the 5th or 6th time. I highly recommend the audiobooks, if you aren't listening to them! I may have to check into Empire of the Vampire, huge Jay fan as well.
You HAVE to read empire of the vampire, even better than NN in my opinion
Do you write down all of your reviews for your books? Just curious how you keep track, for me I have a movie watchlist where I put a rating next to what I thought of it.
I don’t, just talk about what I remember, but I do rate them on good reads
@@beezasmr That's a great idea I didn't think of that! I am not a reader but I love hearing your thoughts about these books, makes me interested in reading.
I’ve had Nevernight on my bookshelf for ages but haven’t gotten around to reading it! I guess I’ll have to finally pick it up 🥰
So good
Completely agree with your opinion on the serpent and the wings of night! I didn’t even try reading the second and definitely glad I didn’t now. You should read the throne of glass series I devoured it and have such a book hangover from it
Love this, by far the best videos you create.... When you talk about books you read
I love when you do these!! I read red rising and haven’t read golden son. I’ve been procrastinating. Is it worth the read? I think I remember you saying it wasn’t as good as red rising. Will have to check out Hidden Pictures, I love the art!! Also very relaxing 💤
I felt the same way when I tried to read Carissa Broudbent's other series Daughter of No Worlds, dnf as well. If you loved Acotar I'd recommend checking out The Cruel Prince (Folk of the air series) by Holly Black if you haven't already.
I read all day at work so sometimes I can only read like like three pages at night before I'm out. 😵💫
if you want a good romantasy you neeeeed to read the once upon a broken heart series or fourth wing!!
I’ve read fourth wing! Loved it

I love these types of videos! Thanks Brynne!
